Typical recycling place. However, I enjoy the staff and the way the place is set up, quick and easy. Who knows if they give the best prices or not, but it is better than going to a land fill and having to pay.
I called was told to be there by 4:50 pm arrived 4:51 had the bay door slammed in my face. I even called a second time guy answered I explained how says I’ll be 1 minute late I drove 45 mins & this was how I was gonna be able to feed my kids for the night. He states I’ll let them know come on you’re fine. Guy there slams door in my face tells me I should learn to be on time (1 min late literally) cusses at me told me he didn’t care if my kids ate . Says the 2nd guy that answered obviously didn’t know what the hell he was talking about in much worse words. Worst customer service ever the nasty attitude was uncalled for especially over again 1 minute I don’t recommend anyone going to that place I’ll put a bad review on this place daily just because he stated he didn’t care if my kids ate or not over 1 minute
Was quoted one price on the phone for aluminum then when I arrived was told a cheaper price. After driving 40 minutes decided that it was not worth it to bring the scrap back home. Had to unload scrap myself plus a check was written instead of being paid cash WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE TOTAL JOKE!
OUR TRAILER GOT DAMAGED AFTER WE PICKED UP HERE... BROKER SCHNEIDER IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO TRUCKING AND I HOPE EVERYONE THAT ASSOCIATES WITH THEM SUFFERS THE WRATH OF KARMA
DO NOT BRING JUNK HERE!!! They will screw you over any chance they get. They mess with the scales so they don't have to pay you the full amount of what you bring. SA recycling is 100% better and won't screw you over.
I have never been to a place and lbs been anything but even which means they screw you on your weight every time . I would only go here if you have to on Saturday when everything else is closed. Terrible Reputation with scrappers I know and they all say the same thing. They screw you out of everything.
Reading all of the reviews everyone says the recycling pay is too low... I'm not for sure...but the drive thru process is very convenient and the workers seems friendly and helpful. But the boys in the big rigs thinks they own the road out there
This place is hella bogus and EXTREMELY DISHONEST in every way! The owners/managers are hella rude don't go here better off going to Schnitzer Steel. ABC is very Ghetto, I do not recommend!
Used to be good. It's junky now. You can't back up to the barrier to dump your metal in the pit because there's all kinds of metal in front of it. You'll have to get out and toss it in the pit to get it out of your way. The guy standing near the pit was NO HELP. A customer assisted me. Constant flat tires. Batteries are now 4.00 used to be 8.00. I'm looking for a better place. It's a big mess. Find somewhere better.
Taking advantage of people saying oxidized copper was painted and pure Aluminum window frames was dirty aluminum. Aluminum window frames are pure Aluminum don't take your scrap here. This place is a rip off. Would make no star if I could.
Terrible. Ripped me off. Do not bring assorted non farris metals. Only bring one at a time so they cant cheat you out of the correct amount you brought in..They will cheat you if they think they can get away with it. Beware
Do not come here if you are hoping for honesty. They will screw you any way they can. Unless it's just common metal or you know precisely what you have a f how much you have or you make them sort out your metal separately, metal by metal and watch them closely. And check each weight yourself. Also know your metals before coming here...II do not recommend this place for beginners or people looking for help. They will screw you in a heartbeat..
I was given the third degree and interrogated to the point I thought I might need an attorney from a scrap yard in Phenix City off State Dock Rd. I had an old ac/heat pump unit that came from MY HOUSE WITH PAPERWORK TO SHOW WHERE I PURCHASED A NEW UNIT AND ASKED THE COMPANY TO LEAVE MY OLD ONE. ( My dad told me to take that with me.!) For two days I was given the run around by the Alabama Company. My friend took me to this place and I had no problem at all. I do not sell scrap metal usually but knew the copper in my old unit had some kind of value. Not even 10 mins after getting to ABC METAL I had a check for $110.00 and was on my way... Thanks guys you are awesome...
