You get good service here HOWEVER, if you are doing a little more than regular scrap, they pay you with a check that their bank WILL NOT CASH until it is "in the syatem" which Bank of America says can take 30mins-1hr..every recycling place we go to besides this one pays you cash for regular scrap as well as copper.
Website and phone machine both say this place opens at 8:00 a.m. After looking around for somebody for 15 minutes, I went into the "employee only" door to find the entire staff in a meeting. I told them we needed to drop stuff off and they had a trucker on the scale that had been waiting 15 minutes already. 5 minutes later, they spilled out to take their posts. If the business opens at 8:00, you should have your staff meeting earlier or after close of business. People's time is valuable.
I waited over an hour to recycle my items! They had very bad attitudes! It caused me to lose money because I had someone waiting for me to pick up something! Yesterday I went to the bank and couldn’t cash my check for an hour!!!! Had to go back to the bank! Wasting time and gas!!!
Recycled my cans and other scrap there several times, in and out quick in friendly service. I decided to take there pay card for easy transactions. My number one go to for my recycling needs
TRUCK DRIVERS!!! It's directly on 10th ave to your left. Pay attention cause you may past it if you do it's a lot a you can turn around in. It's a small gate so gave yourself a enough room to turn before you turn in. Only one dock so you will have to wait for load /unload. If you have trouble getting in tight places don't come here!!! It's a very very tight and a super busy yard. Folks are nice though.
If you have red brass do not bother taking it to this business. We have been selling red brass for 30 years and have never had any difficulties with this business. But now they refuse to call what is clearly red brass red brass. Do not let these people take advantage of you and buy your red brass at yellow brass prices. Schnitzer’s you have lost a very longtime customer. You know what red brass is you are just trying to screw people.
If you are bringing in aluminum cans best prices are late spring to early summer. Today's price 42¢/lb(01/07/2019). Wet/dirty charge is .0189¢/lb
They take all scrap and appliances.
Atendent allowed me to mix two different qualities of lead in 1 container 2100 pounds 1 type he said paid 5 cents an the other he said paid 20. Cents I was paid only 5 cents I did the math I lost 130 to 150 dollars because he said he did not notice but he looked in my truck when I first started unloading it tried to talk to manger but no sucess even after lady at counter took my phone number I have. Been there 30 to 50 times I will go somewhere else next time I hate .It very much never had a problem before this
