This was one of the only places to pick up the phone and also straight tell me if they could do my service or not. I told them what I needed and they told me to stop by and will take a look at my car. I listed my concerns and that’s exactly what they took a look at to tell me what they knew was for sure wrong with the car. And if there was anything else wrong, it was told to me as well. But they looked at my car quick, fast, and in a hurry, and worked with me to address the problems in a manner that worked best for me. They did exactly the services they said they would for a reasonable price and had me on my way as soon as the repairs were complete. And as car repairs come and get fixed, there is always something else that happens. My car had some issues with it on the way back home that were unrelated and I was able to bring it back. They took a look as soon as they could and went above and beyond to identify the problem, and fix it. They had me out again that same day. Needless to say, I found my shop for as long as I am here for all my services, and will miss them when I have to move again. I highly recommend them.

My 2000 Dodge Dakota V6 was undriveable with a seized-up water pump. But long before the water pump failed, there were seemingly unrelated problems too - a coolant leak off rear of block (?), 1st gear issues (?).
I am fairly new to Columbus too (from Phoenix, AZ) and so I had no mechanic to turn to here. Panic time! But a co-worker recommended Mr. Davo with a glowing endorsement... And I am thrilled now over the truly excellent service I received!
Mr. Davo got me towed in a couple hours, then shifted work around to get my truck fixed in two days (before the weekend). And the final cost was right on the estimate provided and also in line with typical regional costs for the work done.

Just as important, Mr. Davo's experience & expertise led him to suspect that a water pump quietly leaking/failing for a very long time might actually be the root of my truck's other obscure observed problems too. So the water pump was fixed first. And sure enough, fixing the water pump made the other seemingly unrelated problems simply disappear: one honest fix done right, rather than tacking on two huge charges for other unnecessary work I had already resigned myself to endure.
So I was very impressed by my service! Now I have a trusted mechanic in Columbus. So I will be back. And I will not hesitate to recommend Mr. Davo to others. He clearly has a passion for his work too.

After diagnostic testing, my alternator was bad. He replaced the alternator and serpentine belt. My battery need replacing. The battery had never been replaced (2012). ****Cash payment are discounted ***** Services were good. I had googled the cost and his price was competitive. Oh, car was serviced fast. I recently moved back here from MI and read good reviews on Mr. Davo's services. I brought my jeep compass in to get fixed. Yall when I tell you this man went above and beyond! He let me know exactly what was wrong with my car and exactly what the repair would cost. He let me know what needed to be fixed now and what could wait if I didn't have the money to get it all done. My car repairs were done quickly and when I came to pick my car up he walked me through my bill. Mr. Davo made sure I understood what had been done and put a 90 day guarantee on his services. This will be my shop of choice from now on.
I started taking my vehicles to Davo about a year and a half ago and have been very pleased with him and the quality of his work. I have taken two of my vehicles to him during that time (I think for a total of 4 visits). The latest visit was for my Lexus RX 330 when he replaced my timing belt and water pump. The cost was about $300 less than the cost range I found online. Every time I have left a vehicle with him, he has given me a timeline in which he will be able to diagnose the problem. Once he has diagnosed the problem, he calls with the cost estimate and an updated timeline. Every time I have picked up a vehicle after being repaired, he has shown me the old part(s) and explained what went wrong. I would recommend Davo to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable mechanic.

Back in September I had Davo change my timing belt, water pump and everything that is routinely done with that service. He did an excellent job, as always. The cost was within industry standards. Last week I had to take my Honda Odyssey back in for front wheel bearings, both sides. He fixed that and the humming and rubbing sounds ceased. He charged $415.00 per side. Again within industry standards. I have used him for 2 Honda Odyssey and our Toyota Camry for over 15 years. I would not trust my vehicles to anyone else in Columbus, Ga. He is the very best! He's an expert mechanic, totally trustworthy and dependable. I have never been dissatisfied or disappointed and you will not be either. I refer everyone to him. Service departments will rip you off. He will not! I come from a family of professional automotive technicians. They are all deceased. They would all trust him as well.

I had a small oil leak, that I noticed after an oil change with another shop. It was a becoming a bother, since the shop that changed my oil did not figure it out after a few tries(I do appreciate that they tried though).... I jumped online looking for someone that I felt could fix the problem. After reading many reviews from many different shops I decided to give Mr. Davo a try. I went by to see him and from the first meeting I felt that he was the right man for the job. Mr Davo has gone above and beyond for me in a few ways, regardless of how busy he was at the time. He found that my car had a few gaskets further up above the oil filter housing and ordered them for me. Rod replaced the gaskets, and so far, no sign of oil since. I've know Davo for quite a while, and have done business with him in the past. He has the knowledge and equipment to diagnose and repair today's more technology advanced automobiles as well as a 70's muscle car. I took my G37 Infiniti in because of a intermittent skip, which I had a mechanic at a tire store tell me it might be the transmission, or fuel. Injection. There were no check engine lights to indicate what might be going on. They didn't have the equipment to diagnose it and suggested I take it to the Nissan dealer and have them scan it. When I called them to see if they could do it, they told me I needed to go to an Infiniti dealership. I knew Davo had taught auto repair at Columbus Tech and gave him a call. He told me that he would be able to scan it and could diagnose the problem. It turns out I needed a tune-up and nothing else. He is a Christian business man, honest and trustworthy. He also has a towing service if you need to have your vehicle towed. I highly recommend.

Great experience! I stopped by to have a headlight looked at as it continued to burn out. It was replaced and the issue explained to me throughly. Very fast service and prices were very reasonable! I have used Davo's expert auto mechanic services several times for my wife's Mitsubishi Lancer, for transmission and starter issues in the past. Davo is extremely knowledgable and a down to earth kind person. So when my RAM 1500 ABS Brake Module and connected equipment failed, I took it in for Davo to look at after I found out it wasn't covered by the RAM ABS Recall for my truck year.
