Mr. Heidrick was able to get a new starter and install it in less than a half days time. His price was more than fair and he got the starter from a reputable parts dealer. I'd definitely recommend them over any dealer shop.
We took our Jeep Grand Cherokee in to have the water pump replaced. We were quoted a price several hundred lower than competitors. Dropped the vehicle off at about 5pm and it was ready the next day by 2pm. We were also charged $50 less than the already low quote. 10/10 happy with the service we received. We will definitely use them for all upcoming service on our vehicles.
Had a new motor installed in my vehicle, ordered and paid for the motor it came in a reasonable time. Took 6 weeks to install it and each time I called or stopped by he said it would be done next week. When he called me to tell me the vehicle was done it was back firing and popping, and he had me drive it home that was. Said it wasn't mechanical and he hooked everything back up the way it was. After taking it to different shop to get it fixed (timining was off) the vehicle runs great

Very professional, attentive and honest. They were able to get our vehicle in and fixed weeks before we were scheduled to be seen at the large dealership. They called and kept us updated on the repair status. All in all a great local small business! Will be taking all our vehicles here in the future.
I have been taking my truck and my wife’s van to Jorg for a few years now and have always received excellent service. It is also a plus to be able to support our local HC community and economy as well by utilizing local businesses. I’m actually dropping my Chevy off tomorrow.
I purchased a used Jaguar XKR and after a year I noticed (another shop) it had oil leaking from the valve cover covers. There was also a coolant leak which I was told by another local shop was a coolant pump. The quote from another local shop was many thousand $'s. Oh ya, there was a ticking sound I mentioned to the same local shop and they then said I need a new motor, $20K. I realized I needed an expert.
I then made an appointment at Jaguar of South Atlanta to get an expert's advice. I was looking spending a lot of cash. However, the day before my appointment I decided to goto Heidrich's just to talk and see if they had any knowledge of my car. I have a good understanding of auto's and do a lot of my own work but this car is our of my league, but I have done a great deal of research.
After spending 45 or so minutes talking to Jorge I realized he new this car and many other high performance cars well. He knew who made the motor and what company designed the motor. I went home and researched and he was right. He took the time to explain the potential problems and made suggestions to get the car back to health.
The result...My car had oil leaks around the valve covers and oil pan (not previously found) and the cooling leak was a hose clamp that was not the correct one (no charge). The noise is an exhaust problem not a bad motor. I was told the motor is very clean inside. Over all the pervious owner did not maintain the car well so, without me asking, they did a check on the some other areas that will fail if not serviced regularly and told me what to watch out for. All the work was complete for a fraction of the price and after 2.5 weeks of the work being completed, I am very happy.
I took my car to Mr. Heidrich because it had an unknown sound & it wasn't steering right. While doing a road test he told me what was wrong. My car was deemed unsafe to drive home so his wife took me home. The car was fixed his wife picked me up & took me to the shop to drive it home. Mr. Heidrich saved the parts he took off & showed them to me, yes they were in bad condition. My wheel bearings front & back were bad. If it weren't for his knowledge & caring about his customers I could have had a bad accident. Thank you so much Mr. Heidrich.
I took my Lexus to be seen at Heidrich after getting a quote somewhere else that told me I needed a new transmission. Come to find out I didn’t need a transmission. He fixed a few things and had me up and running in a few hours. They did a wonderful job in a timely manner and saved me so much money by being honest. Very thankful for this place I will not take my Lexus anywhere else!!!
I brought my VW 2006 new beetle to him asking if he had the tool to take off the locking lug nut on the wheel he said over the phone he had the key to when I arrived he said he couldn’t find it and proceeded to jackhammer on the locking lug nut and now it is so damaged nobody can get it off !
I work out of town so I had my daughters VW sent (towed) to Heidrich in Cataula for a failed ZF 6-speed auto and other needed service.
He’s not cheap but as expected good work never is. The service, work, & honestly can not be beat. Much like myself Jorge is a down to earth no BS kind of guy.
Hell I may start taking my/our BMW X5 to Jorge.
Nothing was found wrong with the ZF other than needed service. And I was ecstatic to pay what he changed. My daughter was so happy to have her little VW back.

2007 VW Rabbit. I know, there is no one in the area other than Carl Gregory who works on VW's. So I thought I would try Heidrich. I needed an 80,000 mile service and I just didn't want to do it myself. His prices are a little lower than the dealer and I thought I could find a reliable technician for all my future work. I had done some online research to include watching youtube for the procedures I needed done. When our discussion on the work came to the fuel filter, Heidrich's mark-up for the part was barely tolerable and then he told me it was $100 for the labor! JUST TO CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER! He said it required a special tool. I watched a backyard mechanic on youtube pop it off with a screw driver for crying out loud. Well, that sure cured my laziness! I spent a little over $150 in parts, got off my butt, got my hands dirty and saved over $300! Special tool....yea right.
I try to make this short and two the point. I blame most of this on myself to be this dumb and keep bring him cars to work on.
1. I brought my BMW 750 to him for an oil change, and what I got was a over filled engine, and due to this skip at startup never when away. Car never leaked oil before now it did. $1,500 later still did so mad Sold the car...
2. Brought my wife 928 in which been not running in years been garaged for all the years $1,500 and computer plus 6 months later never started. took it home some research two computers he did not know the difference. all over the internet same issues. two simple test proved it.
3. Brought in my wife 1980 corvette over a $1500 later you can only guess.

Jorg Heidrich (Owner) is a very straight forward guy. He isn't out to throw parts at a car until the problem is fixed. He quoted me on getting my AC fixed (compressor issue) as well as my thermostat for right around $800. Carl Gregory wanted me to pay them over $700 just for the thermostat job. They also wanted another $500 for the AC. Needless to say, I'll be going to Heidrich's for all my future VW repairs and services.
