I had a horrible experience dealing with Advance Auto Parts. I came here yesterday to purchase an OBD2 scanner with live data reading, which they keep behind the counter. It was $70 which is a bit steep, but I wanted it then and there so didn't mind paying extra. I didn't get a chance to inspect the box because it was kept behind the counter, so upon returning home I looked and saw that the OBD2 scanner I had purchased did not feature live scanning. I promptly returned about half an hour after purchasing the scanner, and the man there informed me that he could not approve a return without a manager present. He told me to come back the next day, today, when the manger would be there, and I could return it. This morning, I came back to return the item, and the manager told me that I could not return it because they didn't do returns on "those". I informed him why I was returning it, that it didn't do what I thought it did, that it hadn't been used, what the man the previous day had told me, but he refused to return it due to "company policy". Ok, I said, so I left and phoned Advance's customer service line. The man on the phone told me that they didn't do returns on electronic items. I told him all that had happened, and he actually suggested that I try to go to another Advance Auto Parts to return it because he couldn't do anything. He told me that it was my fault for not looking at the box before purchasing it, which I couldn't really do given that they keep them behind the counter. I can't believe he would actually suggest that I try to go return it at a different Advance after telling me that there's nothing he could do and about the company's slimy return policy. I feel scammed by this company and I will never be giving them my business again. Do yourself a favor and go to a privately owned company or just get your stuff on the internet instead of this shady company. What does a giant corporation like Advance Auto Parts gain by treating me this way and practically stealing my money?

Helpful employees when looking for tools- but they do not honor their return policy here. I tried returning a oil filter wrench and they wouldn't take it because the packaging wasn't in perfect condition (there were some oil stains on it). Disappointing because I spent $160 and they gave me trouble returning a $13 dollar wrench in perfect condition... Just be aware of this when you buy something here.

Bought Diehard battery.Spanish guy who's friendly and worked there going to install it. But he was by himself and unable to do so. I Took battery home installed myself for first time. Piece of cake. Learn from utube.

Called ahead and they told me they had a battery. They reminded me they closed soon. (15 mins) I made it by 3 mins before closing and was told. No they were closed. and had shut down the system even though they were sitting down behind the computer. I only needed to purchase 1 battery and I was done. They had the battery and knew I was coming but closed early. Not awesome! The door was unlocked and I was in. They just didn’t want to help.

Came to the store to have my battery replaced and had a really good experience. I called ahead to make sure they had it in stock before coming and Dionte was very helpful start to finish. Super polite, courteous and very communicative about the process and everything he was doing. I was in and out in under 15 minutes and can’t thank him enough for helping me while providing such amazing customer service.

Yesterday I went to this location because my car seemed to have a battery damage and I needed it checked, first a girl helped me and she was very nice and checked my battery but it seems that she had already finished her shift and had to leave. But then I asked another employee at the store if he could help me perform a diagnosis on my car and check my car's computer, and his response was not the best, he didn't understand why I was asking him to check my car and he didn't want to help me and he told me that they were not an auto shop and I really think that was not the response that I expected from this employee, because in the other Advance Auto Parts stores they have treated me very well and the employees always help you with your questions and attend to you with the best attitude, but in this location it was not like that

The ladies that work here were well informed and capable. They replaced my battery with ease. The only problem is that it is very hard to do business here due to the fact that the air conditioning is not working and apparently has not been working for months. It is very hot in Georgia as of 6/21/24 and will only get hotter. The owner should do better!

I’m giving this store 1 star why because it’s HOT AS HELL in there. The workers are clearly agitated. I love shopping here but something NEEDS to be done immediately there are fans everywhere. It’s obviously cooler outside than inside this store. Whoever’s is over this store needs to be fired. Why are you allowing your employees to work in a sweat box.

The team here is always super helpful. Have come here for everything from light bulbs, wiper blades, cleaning products, and car battery replacements. They're always great about answering questions and doing an install.

The team at this store has the best customer service!! John was so helpful, kind, and informative. He tested and replaced my fiancé’s car battery, and helped clean the corrosion on mine. He also replaced my windshield wipers, and found a cap for my wiper fluid. He was seriously the best and so helpful. We will definitely be back again because we had such a good experience! Thanks John and the Advanced Auto Parts Team :)

They were helpful but installed my battery backwards which blew a ton of fuses, ruined my ABS, and left me without a car for over a week. I had to pay for all the damages myself. When I called to let them know about what happened the manager couldnt have cared less. But your parts here but don’t take any help or advice from them

The staff here is very knowledgeable. I actually own a police interceptor which is like a Ford explorer but not actually one. When I came here and needed help with parts they were able to help me and were very knowledgeable. Thank you.

The customer service here is unmatched. The staff answered the phone immediately and determined they had a battery in stock for me. DQ the manager was super helpful and speedy in installing a new battery in my car. This was the best experience I’ve had at any auto part store in the ATL area. Highly recommend and will be back. Just like other reviews, horrible customer service. Walked in the morning and the lady at the counter didn’t look at me. I said “hello, how are you?” And she looked at me and ignore kept counting money. After 5 mins, I asked if anybody else is here to assist me. She didn’t even look at me and just ignored. Then after a while she says “what do you need”. I don’t expect excellent service but at least say hello or I will be with you soon. Very unpleasant experience.

The staff was extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The young lady (sorry didn't get her name) went above and beyond. Made me feel welcome and appreciated - a rare find in most businesses these days. Overall an exceptional experience.

The customer service is awful. I was planning to purchase new wiper blades coolant and windshield wiper fluid. All I needed to do first was check a code and was told because of rain they wouldn’t do it and after offering to do the test myself I was accused of being a thief because other people have stolen. Cool

I absolutely appreciate this store. My battery had cracked and I needed a new one. They replaced it and took my old one away. Even when working in this unbearable heat (100°F), the guy working on my car was pleasant AF. I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to this time.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Not a crowded store wheelchair accessible and they are in compliance with social distancing and employees wearing masks. This was a great experience buying power steering fluid. The ladies gave great advice that made me put the fluid back. They were right... it was the alternator. Thank you Ladies for caring about the customer. Wish I would have takin there picture because these 3 ladies gave me their all. Bravo.
