My mom was in an accident and her phone was in her car when it was towed from the scene. We believe one of the workers or someone there stole the phone. Never got it back when we receieved the car.

My son wrecked his car and I guess the police called this company while I was on the phone with our insurance company arranging a tow!! ALL I can say is do not use them!! The lady on the phone when we called to see what was needed for our insurance company to pick the car up was extremely rude sarcastic and then we called back to find out that she had sent us the wrong form once we got there the ladies at the front desk were both extremely rude my son who was in the car accident was the only one allowed to walk probably a quarter mile back to where they put the car with a tiny wagon to get his belongings out of the car and walk them back the lady at the gate was extremely rude horrible customer service horrible company do not use them if you have any say at all

2/9/26 Both front desk attendants move slow as molasses. The guest line was long. I was retrieving my vehicle due to an accident. The heavy set lady front desk attendant had a MAJOR attitude with every single guest for no reason. The lot guard lady also had an attitude for no reason. Paid almost $300 and being met with a bunch of attitude. For what?! TERRIBLE customer service here.

The employee Ms.Tammy who works the front area on the second shift is VERY VERY VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. She needs to be fired. Regardless of what kind of work you do when you're dealing with people your customer service should be on a professional level. Now due to the nature of her job I can understand her having to be firm with the policy and procedures of the company, but you simply do not have to be so ugly and treat everyone the same. If I'm being professional with you, I expect that back in return, I hate to give such a bad review because everyone else was very professional and kind, but it's always one bad apple in the bunch that makes the whole team suffer. Then I asked for the manager, her response was I am the manager, my thoughts were who would put you in such a position with such an ugly spirit. My experience was terrible. She cared to be more on her personal phone talking than taking care of the people there. I did get my car the next afternoon and I had everything I needed to get my car the previous day she just wanted to give me a hard time talking over me instead of allowing me to explain what's going on. I pray God bless your evil heart.

Nice helpful folks often times quite busy and don't get angry with them because it's your fault they have your vehicle they are just fulfilling their municipal and private contracts. Don't be stupid with them and they'll be nice

Exorbitant fees. Towing is $180+. This is APD's tow company, so anything involving the police, here's where it will be towed. $33 a day for storage is crazy. Slow process to get you taken care of but fast to take your money. Avoid at all costs because it's gonna cost you!! BIG!!

My car was towed by this company last week (mistakenly). I am pretty sure they damaged one of my tires while towing it. Getting the car back was a hassle and felt like a scam. I called after the car had been there for a few days and the person who answered the phone said if I came before 3:30p that day it would be $320. If I came by 4:30 it would be an additional $95 and if I came after 5:30 it would an additional $65 on top of that. The numbers made no sense and it felt like a scam. By the way it took 30 minutes on hold to even get through to a useless person with a sour attitude on the other end of the phone. Once I got down there they treat you like a criminal trying to get your own car back screaming instructions at you and making you feel like you are in some sort of low budget prison. I would never willingly do any business with this company they have questionable ethics and business practices and treat customers like they are criminals. Its a HARD NO for me.

These guys will tow your car for almost anything they can, they’ll lie to your face and run off with your vehicle. Absolutely worst experience of my life being handicapped and having my car taken while the tow truck driver is trolling you saying he’ll drop it for cash just to have you running around like a chicken with your head cut off. I hope you never run into these terrible people, they’ll lie and run your pockets for whatever they can.

To the Owner/Management of A-Tow LLC,
I am writing to formally complain about the excessive and predatory fees charged under Invoice #791720 on December 3, 2025.
My girlfriend, Shellyann Phillip, was involved in a car accident. Her 2017 Kia Forte was towed by police from Moreland Ave SE to your facility at 180 Harriett St SE. The vehicle arrived at 10:30 AM and was released the same day at 5:02 PM - a total of approximately 6.5 hours.
For this short timeframe, I was charged $288.50, broken down as follows:
- Tow Fee: $228.00
- DMV Fee: $2.00
- PD Release Fee: $32.50
- Notification Fee: $26.00
- **TOTAL: $288.50**
This pricing structure is absolutely unreasonable and exploitative:
**1. EXCESSIVE TOW FEE**: $228 for a local tow within Atlanta is outrageous. Standard towing rates in Atlanta typically range from $75-$125 for similar distances.
**2. QUESTIONABLE ADDITIONAL FEES**:
- A $32.50 "PD Release Fee" - why am I paying extra for you to do the basic administrative work required for police-initiated tows?
- A $26.00 "Notification Fee" - for what? A phone call? This should be included in standard service.
**3. NO STORAGE TIME**: The vehicle was picked up the same day, within hours. There was no overnight storage, yet I'm being charged as if this was a multi-day impound.
**4. ZERO TRANSPARENCY**: None of these fees were explained beforehand. I was simply presented with a bill and given no choice but to pay immediately to retrieve the vehicle.
**5. COMPLETE LACK OF EMPATHY**: Your staff showed no understanding that we had just experienced a traumatic accident with a totaled vehicle covered only by liability insurance. Instead of any consideration during a crisis, we were treated like a transaction to be maximized for profit.
The fact that this was a police-initiated tow makes your pricing even more problematic - we had NO CHOICE in selecting your company. You have a captive customer base in vulnerable situations, and you're taking full advantage of it.
**I am demanding the following:**
1. An immediate partial refund reducing this bill to a reasonable amount (no more than $150 total)
2. A detailed written explanation justifying each fee charged
3. Confirmation that you will review your pricing structure to stop exploiting accident victims
4. An apology for the lack of transparency and compassion shown
I expect a response within 5 business days. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will:
- File a formal complaint with the Georgia Department of Public Safety
- Report this to the Georgia Governor's Office of Consumer Protection
- File a complaint with the Atlanta Police Department regarding your company's practices
- Post detailed reviews on Google, Yelp, and every consumer platform warning others about these predatory fees
- Contact local news consumer protection segments about towing company practices
You may operate under police contracts, but that does not give you the right to exploit people during emergencies. Your business model is unethical, and I will make sure others know about it.
Sincerely,
Guy Alcindor

When my mother who was traveling solo from FL to St. Louis and got into an accident, A Tow handled the towing of both vehicles. They went above and beyond in assisting her to ensure her safety and getting her and her things from the highway/vehicle to a hotel. It was a tremendous piece of mind for me when they proactively spoke with me and helped me coordinate everything. THANK YOU!!!!!

Just had to get my car towed last night due to an accident. The police called this tow company. Not sure who the guy was that had my car towed but he seems like he was in a rush. He didn’t give me his name but rushed me to get out my car after I told him I have a tow company that will have it towed to my dealership. He specially stated that we can’t wait for that and proceeded to hook my car up and leave without giving me a card to know when my car is located. Thank God I have a tracker on my car! I feel like this process could have been more friendly but they wasn’t trying to hear what I had to say during this hard time. Definitely trying to get it move from this location and have it sent to a body shop like I tried to do from the beginning. Now online it’s a $300+ charge as well and I could have got this towed for cheaper. Really bed customer service if you ask me.

. I got in a car accident November first in a rental, I had to leave in an ambulance leaving me not able to get anything out the car at the scene . Due too the car being a rental I had to get a paper notarized and sent over that’s fine but then I finally get to the car and all My expensive stuff was took from the car . I had just went shopping . I told the rude ladies at the front they in there giggling and smirking like it was funny I was mad about my stuff being missing then say I can file a claim . Now that I see the reviews for this company they are bad for business. If people stuff keep getting stolen as a company you need to be doing something to prevent that nobody wanna get out the hospital and have to worry about their stuff being missing .

My car was towed and I came in and got nothing but attitude and disrespect from the lady who worked at the front desk. She was also very short with other customers who came in behind me and hung up abruptly on a person who has also gotten their car towed but had damage done to their car as it was going to the place. I couldn’t even ask her questions about something because she was too busy cutting me off . Please make sure you hire more empathetic workers or do better training because that is unacceptable and she can and will run into issues with others if that continues to happen.

I’ve never liked going here. When you go to get your belongings from your car, they give you a paper to take with you. After you come back to return the paper and pick up your ID, they make you get back in line again — even though you’re just handing the paper over. Ended up waiting in line for an hour for no reason.

Our car died in our apartment complex parking garage, and we called and tried many towing companies. None had the proper equipment to enter a 6' 10" security clearance deck, except for A Tow. After numerous attempts with other companies, A Tow showed up and did exactly what they had promised to do. Sean, the driver, was respectful, professional, and extremely kind. We made it from point A to point B without any issues. I will definitely use them again if this ever happens again.

My car died in my employers parking deck in downtown Atlanta and I called numerous towing companies that could not Help me. One recommended A Tow and they thankfully A Tow actually did have the proper equipment to handle the parking deck (3rd level 7 foot clearance ) From the first call Ebony was kind, professional and honest with cost and wait times. As expected ot took a decent wait for someone to be available, but quicker than her original estimate. Jerome arrived and quickly / professionally got my car hooked up and took me and my car to the repair shop in the middle of terrible ATL traffic. Jerome was friendly and handled my car with care. The cost was within a few dollars of the original estimate. It was a bit on the high end of cost, but there are very few companies in Atlanta with the equipment to handle low clearance multiple floor parking decks and I was very happy with the customer service I received from both Ebony at dispatch and Jerome driving. I would use them again if needed.

I’ve had to deal with A Tow Atlanta, Inc. twice now (11412 North Fulton Industrial Blvd, Alpharetta, GA 30009), and both times were beyond frustrating. The front office staff are some of the rudest, most unhelpful people I’ve ever encountered in any customer service setting. They act completely entitled — like they’re doing you a favor just by acknowledging you — and seem to go out of their way to make things more difficult.
When I arrived, the person at the desk couldn’t even be bothered to look up from their phone, gave one-word answers, and treated me like an inconvenience. The other employees I interacted with had the same terrible attitude — lazy, dismissive, and completely lacking any sense of professionalism or courtesy.
It’s clear from reading their other Google reviews that this behavior is the norm, not the exception. This business survives only because people are forced to deal with them after accidents or impounds — not because they offer any real service or respect.
If you ever have a choice in where your car goes, do yourself a favor and avoid A Tow Atlanta, Inc. at all costs.Oct 07, 2025 -
If I could do a -1 review I would. I called to ask about a simple sticker, and okay I can understand they do not use stickers but the problem here is the lady attitude when I called. Rude for no reason, if you don't like your job is simple stay at home.

Be mindful of where you parked your car
They impounded my car for an expired meter was parked on the side street the driver did not lower the boom low enough and put a hole in my transmission pan my oil pan and my oil filter I got an estimate to replace all and it's going to cost me $1,700 and they would not even told the car to a shop they would not even allow me to get the vehicle because they claim their people need to look at it. If you need a tow don't call these peopleSep 14, 2025 -
The staff are extremely unprofessional and rude. We went to get our belongings from our vehicle after an accident. I've never encountered a front desk staff like the one there. These are grown women who hates their jobs it seems. The one serving us was rolling her eyes, and just rude. I guess seeing accidents do happen, and the service is needed, they'll stay in business despite their lack of customer service Trai ing.

Rarely you are at a tow yard willingly and you’re never at one because something good happened to you. I was a little nervous going in but all the ladies in the office were sweet and clearly having a good time with each other so it put me at ease. Once my car was clear for release they even helped me load it in my friend’s trailer. Everyone there was kind and helpful so it made this whole process easier.
Also as far as tow yards go I found the rates pretty reasonable.Aug 15, 2025 -
Honestly if you are here, you are not having a good day. I was there to help my 90 year old father get his car out. Of course when I get on the very steamy car, it won’t start. Like no battery whatsoever. The guy at the gate was SO helpful and tried two different jumpers to get it started and I’m just so grateful we could get the car home! Didn’t catch his name but he did his place of work proud.

Another person crashed into me and the police had a-tow come tow my car. when i got my car back multiple items were missing and my car was rummaged through. i reviewed my dash cam footage and their employee can be seen taking a small toy from the dash and audibly going through my glove compartment… i wish i could upload the dash cam footage

My nephew who took my car today to visit his friend parked the car at the parking spot of his friend’s, as his friend asked him to park there. This company towed this car even though there was no issue in parking there. My nephew was at this towing place from 3:30pm, finding what it takes to get the car back, waiting for me to email notarized letter. This company charged him late fee for picking the car after 5pm. Total fee $319 that includes $65 late fee. Unbelievable. This must be a scam to collect money through these towing. What rights my nephew has to recover his money?

Do not trust these guys with your vehicle!
They towed one of my vehicles while it was being used by someone else. In the process they did at least $1000 in damage tried to COVER IT UP, and then LIED ABOUT IT when I confronted them (details below for those curious). They also refused to provide before and after pictures when requested. They either failed to take them or wouldn't share them because they knew it would show their guilt.
You are risking a lot of you use them! I do not advise! (The photos included show just a fraction of the total damage discovered between my mechanic and me).
Short version:
They left an 8-inch dent above my right fender and some scuffs in front of that on the fender. They scratched, dented, & broke the plastic part of my fender and attempted to cover it up with what looks like truck bed liner. They punctured & broke my mirror housing in multiple places. One spot has a HOLE which they filled with some kind of putty and then covered with the same bed liner. My passenger door was partially dislodged and damaged at the edges. And there are a few other marks and possible damages which I won't even go into here.
When I confronted them about it they just told me they didn't do it and have ignored all further attempts to communicate with them.Feb 16, 2025 -
This is a MESS. This company sucks. really sucks. My car was towed by this company and this dude named “FELIX” towed my car and he legit threw my car and was broken. They didn’t tell me anything until I payed and all. I filed a CLAIM but then they only responded ONE TIME, like 2 weeks after that happened. I’ve been sending out emails since then, it’s been almost 4 MONTHS. I haven’t gotten no response and this breaks my heart. To be honest I don’t know why they will write, “ Treat cars like our family or wtv.” And go ahead and complete wreck your car and then they don’t get in charge of it or don’t answer or anything. The repairs is 5k in all. I went to get an estimate and idk what to do anymore. I’ve called and this woman is rude, or they don’t answer, or they act like they don’t know. Horrible Place. And if I’m honest. The problem wasn’t my car getting towed. It was the fact that they had to damage my car. now no one answers.

Bless their heart. They are doing the lord's work. The building management at cosmopolitan drive decided I had time today to take a trip downtown. I even beat the tow driver there. Godspeed. A - tow gave me the opportunity to donate $195 to their cause. However its cash only since in god we trust, all others pay cash. Just take a look at all the charities they support.
