I have been in the towing business for 58 years in Chicago we just had them Deck some trucks for us and there Heavy Duty is very in experience and they charged us 900.00 when the going rate in the industry and other wrecker service in Atlanta is 600.00

This place is the worst to do business with. They will charge you for anything they can think of. Window down in your own car will cost you $30 per window and anything else. I’ve never been to a tow company this bad in my life

I had a great experience with Tara Wrecker! I was visiting town when my car broke down on the side of the highway. I was alone and scared but the driver, Matt, arrived in under 30 minutes. He was incredibly kind, professional, and he knew exactly how to handle the tricky situation with my vehicle. He kept me informed throughout the entire process and even dropped my car off at the shop with no problem. His excellent service made a stressful situation so much better. I would absolutely recommend them.

Needed a tow I called these guys and Matt showed up 20 mins later just like they said he would. He has outstanding customer service. You can tell he likes his job he has a great attitude and he was funny. He made a crappy day better. I highly recommend Matt! Thanks again!!

Worst experience ever from an impound lot. They charge me over 900 bucks to get my car out of their lot. and they charge by the day. I wanted a copy of when they sent over mail that my car was towed to this location. they failed to give me documentation. The white lady in the office was extremely rude and unprofessional.
We called Tara Wrecker and they were there in 20 minutes like they said they would be. Mark was very helpful and did a great job taking care of our vehicle. We highly recommend Tara Wrecker and Mark!

My sister got into a car accident came to get her things out of the car. She was so traumatized by the accident she didn't want to see the car the worker there took pictures on her phone and brought the things to her. Good service!
Very disrespectful and racist customer service. Had evidence as proof. This agency does not explain the fees to you but wants your money. When asked to explain to an elderly person I was asked to leave after I had sat there the entire time.
I have read a lot of the negative reviews here, but I have to say the customer service I experienced with Tara Wrecker was excellent. Thank you to Mya in the office who was friendly while greeting and assisting me with my documents. And James, who helped me on the lot. He offered to assist me on the lot when he saw I was having trouble. He also went above and beyond to help me find my phone. After I left, he called me to let me know he found it. That was HUGE. Please go to the police department and grab the required Personal Property Release form BEFORE going over to Tara Wrecker. This will make your time at Tara Wrecker much shorter. Great job Mya and James!
AFTER YEARS OF USING THEM, I CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND TARA WRECKER. I had my vehicle towed by Tara Wrecker to a local mechanic because it wouldn't start. Turned out I just needed a new battery. After receiving my car back from the mechanic, I noticed audible vibration that wasn't occuring before the tow/battery replacement. I returned my vehicle to the mechanic, telling him what I was experiencing.
According to the mechanic, the axle fell apart when it was being removed. He said the only way this could've happened is if it was breaking down over time (which, if true, would've included a noticeable noise when turning, which wasn't occurring prior to the tow) OR that the tow technician attached tow cables to the CV joint/axle and damaged it. It cost me about $900 to get this repaired.
When I spoke to someone at Tara Wrecker, I was told that the hooks they use were too small to fit onto my cars axle. The mechanic later told me that wasn't true, as the axle is small enough for tow hooks to be hooked onto. The Tara Wrecker employee was unsympathetic and essentially dismissed my claim.
My mechanic said they had stopped using Tara Wrecker years ago saying that Tara Wrecker had become overpriced and was no longer the good company that existed before the previous owner passed away. Prior to this incident, I always called Tara Wrecker when a tow was needed. I will no longer call them after they most likely damaged my vehicle and then refused to assist in any way with repair costs.
They tell you a lie and say you can't get your property out of your vehicle. The police said I should be able to get my property. Everything in the vehicle is mine and it's paid for has nothing to do with the loan on the car. So basically they steal your things by lying to you
We are OTR owner operators they towed our semi truck and did not properly secure the drive shaft causing over 13,000 in damages and resulted in over 3 months of the truck being down. Our company has lost over 30,000 in $$ due to down time. This will result in us losing the company.
Clayton County should be ashamed for working with this scam center. They are nothing, but crooks. Our vehicle was stolen then recovered and brought there by Clayton County PD. They were supposed to put a hold on it for our local police department, but never did. Then gave the investigator the toughest time when he was trying to process the vehicle. We ended up having to get it ourselves and how awful that was…..I felt so sorry for several people in there trying to get their cars back from this crooked business. They were clearly in need and being treated like absolute scum on the floor. The best part was one of the women working in there wearing a “Jesus” shirt. Jesus would not have had anything to do with the type of “business” being ran here.
Unfortunately, most people cannot help if their car ends up here since they are contracted with the county, but if you are looking for a tow service this place is not it. Run.
Been using these guys for years with my Bikes and my Verts! Just called to get one of my 350z verts! Got here in 20 minutes, shop called to confirm drop off at shop! I'm good!! I recommend highly, especially for customized Cars and Bikes!!!
