we drove two miles on December 23 at 3pm and it was closed. The website says it's open. In addition, why do they give off the vibe that they're taking at least half this stuff to the landfill?

3rd times a charm I guess. Today is Dec 23rd. It’s currently 3:15pm and they are closed. ****** AGAIN!!!! It’s 3:06 PM AND THE RECYCLING CENTER IS CLOSED! The hours online state it closes at 5pm!!! This BEYOND frustrating @ this point! ***** Why post hours if you’re not going to stick to them! It’s 2:45pm on a Monday and the site is already closed! The guy cleaning up said it was beyond his control. I call BS. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I’m not sure why random early closures are happening now but it’s really inconvenient. This didn’t happen when the older gentleman worked there. I might as well just throw everything in the trash rather than going through the effort of recycling.

Missing platic bag and Styrofoam recycling and #5 plastic bottle recycling. Rest of the normal recycling present.

Very nice gentleman works there

I’ve never had a bad experience. Whenever there is staff here, they are very pleasant. Today, however, I am not very pleased with the fact that you all closed before your posted business hours. If your hours are listed until 5:00pm, please allow your residents until 5:00p before you chain your gate. There is no reason why one should pull up at 4:55p and you’ve already closed for the day with the gate already chained. I understand if you have to close moments sooner because there are some residents who take an extremely long time to unload, however please allow this to be reflected in posted hours online. Thank you.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. It’s clean, it’s neat, and the gentleman managing the center, is kind, friendly and very helpful. Every city and county should have these recycling bins. Especially for glass.

Very organized for drop-off! Friendly & helpful staff! Update 9.7.22 "Ditto" to my previous 'Update'! Update: 1.24.23 New Collection Bins have been installed for Cardboard recyclables.

So glad we have a place to help save the landfills. It's kept neat and clean too!

This place is well organized with easy access. The area is well maintained by the on-site attendants. They even have bins for donated shoes and clothing.

Often quiet Mon-Fri - I wish it was busier, I suppose. There's someone in attendance who is very friendly. Check the website for items they don't accept - for example no steel cans - or any metal except for aluminium cans. It's not close by for us but it's convenient if we're going to Sam's Club.

Great service. I go every week. I try to do my part to save the planet.

We need more places like This. And make them more efficient.

Everything is clearly marked. Very busy on Saturday as everyone is here recycling.

I would do 4 stars, but they do not recycle foam. Which when you eat out...you get!

I love this place. I agree with everyone ... very friendly, clean, organized. I love the other patrons ... it truly is the best. I go early morning or mid-day and they're always available.

My family and I have been coming here for years and everyone we've met who is working here has always been helpful and friendly.

I didn't know there was a recycling center in the heart of Clayton County, let alone that it's very actively used! There's no modern internet or phone connection to the lot, so that's why there's no website or phone number to contact the place. The guy who runs the lot was very nice, so that's another great thing about it. Overall, I definitely plan to return.

They always close before 5pm. Disheartening when you have a vehicle full of items loaded to recycle only to get there and the gate is chained and it’s not 5pm yet. Smh. You’ve got to do better. It’s not like there’s more than one location. Just inconsiderate of others time.

This is a drop off center. Takes plastic 1&2, glass cardboard paper and aluminuim. No steel.
