After a very short time dealing with this mechanic. My experience change and was not very pleasant. He is not organized and very unprofessionally messy system for drop offs and parking, key handling and safety. After trusting him my 09 dogde charger trusting him with the knowledge on my transmission. He tells me he going to do his homework and examine the transmission, (it was getting stuck in low gear about every 3000mi for about a 9mth period after the first time and it was reset constantly with a car diagnostics computer), so when the last reset was done and it went back stuck in tow gear I had a it tow to h&h and I made sure to communicate with him and let him know my schedule and when it was tow. He reassured me that it was ok to drop it off and leave the key inside. So after week of not hearing from you him. I went up there and he told me that I was going to need to replace solenoids, sensors and other parts to my transmission. He didn't give me price quote at the time. So I call him and call him, NO COMMUNICATION. So I pop up I asked him to give me the price and list of parts. He writes it down. I was looking at 1200$. So as I come up 400$ I take it to him so he can began to order these parts. (Witch is what he wrote down). Solenoid package 210$, Filter kit 280$, fluid 300$, Labor 300$ and abs 100$, Ok so I give him some of the money then I go on vacation come back I can't reach him once again, by phone going up there nothing. So I finally catch after 2weeks and he did order anything or even move my car. My doors were left unlocked for any thing to happen. So after giving him some time to get the job done less then a month my transmission is gets stuck in second gear and he just played. He never did his research I realize that it was a computer issue and more that I figure it all out on my own and so now I'm out of $600 and he still try to get more money out of me by trying to reset my transmission again with the OBD diagnostics machine and all that is doing is putting a Band-Aid on it resetting the code that comes on but we did not know was that transmission control module which is most likely what has gone bad cause by a bad power train module and these are just two computers the motherboard the hard drive the brain to function the car sensors and everything else and when they're messed up they will give false readings to other diagnosis but he should have known using the computer to get diagnosis test. He didn't have to lie he could of told me he wasn't sure what it was and how to fix it. So I found a mechanic that specialize in transmissions especially in computers to cars and he's doing it right so will I be wrong to go back to h&h and visit him and present him the receipt and maintenance done that he was supposed to do and ask him to give me my money back. I feel like I was scammed because he thought I was a female that didn't know anything about a car but he was sadly wrong or he will be sadly wrong
