The people they have answering the phones are extremely rude and very short. They decide who and when they want to help people of this town. We are new to this town and were shocked by thier service. Money is hard to earn and needs to be selective when spending it on adding ease to our lives. And they show no signs of appreciation at all. We will not return or recommend this place to anyone.
Our van broke down in Baxley when we came down for an event, so we had it towed to Livingston's that night. We called right before they opened to explain the situation and to see how they could help us. The lady we spoke with was so nice and compassionate to our situation, as we were stranded 5 hours from home. They called back quickly with the problem (bad battery) and replaced it for us at a reasonable price. We are so thankful that they got our van fixed so quickly and efficiently. Cannot recommend this place enough
Great service! Easy to work with and very friendly staff. They came to the rescue with the tow truck when my car broke down in Baxley, GA. I was 4 hours from home, and my car was not drivable. They took the car to Lvingson's Garage, and the next morning, they were able to identify the issue and fix it within a 4-hour time span. My radiator failed me, and the shop got me covered. I was back on the road in less than 24 hours and made it home safely. The receptionist was very friendly and stayed in communication as needed as I was anxiously waiting for the repairs to be completed. I can't thank Livingston's Garage team enough for getting my car fixed so I can make it home safely. Highly highly reccomend their services.
Amazing auto service, they are very friendly. Their prices are very reasonable, They don't take you for granted, you call tell them your auto problem and if they can fix it they will tell you when to bring it in, if not they will let you know upfront. They won't try to take your money and then send you somewhere else. They are fair, honest, amazing, auto repairers that I would recommend 1000 times over.
I never give a one star review. But when mechanic quotes me 2400.00 USD to rebuild a front end that only needed 2 bottom ball joints and one right hand upper control arm. I rethink the ethics of the mechanic there. The ladies up front are nice people but you are only as strong as your weakest link. I live in Atlanta and have mechanics here I trust. I also turn wrenches myself when I have time. Until this garage ge S a good mechanic my recommendation for this place is not to recommend. I got the work done including alignment for 700.00 USD including all parts, alignment and labor.
The MOST RUDE people I've ever met! The mechanics act like they don't know what they're doing and the 'ladies' in the front are DISGUSTING!! Pure nasty!!!
Fast, friendly service and reasonably priced. Great down to earth people. Very kind and caring. I would recommend to everyone. Great place. I got oil changed in an out within 20 min and had a nice place to sit an watch TV while waiting.
The lady that answers the phone is SO RUDE! I am told that she's always that way. I don't expect to get laughed at when I asked questions about how soon I could get a repair done.
My vehicle was towed there after an accident. They were very professional when they picked up my vehicle. Multiple times I had to call there to get information for my insurance company and the receptionist was very kind and polite. When I went to retrieve the items out of my vehicle again they were very professional courteous and very polite. I would recommend this company to anybody who needs anything done with their vehicle.
I had new struts put on and needed an alignment. I called to make an appointment on a Monday. The lady who answered the phone told me to call back Wednesday that it would probably be Thursday before they could do it, although I specifically asked for an appointment. I called back Wednesday the same older lady tells me it would be the following week before they could do my alignment. So I called the Ford place in Vidalia. Got an appointment for 2 days later.
I can't say Thankyou enough to the folks here as I was stranded and they came right out and got me bandaided till morning. When they could make the actual repair.
I'm fairly new to the area and have tried other mechanics but this place is by far the best. The service is impeccable. They have the sweetest office staff and they are honest. I have never had work done on my vehicle in such a short amount of time. They do quality work at a great price. I am so happy to have found a place I can trust with my vehicles.
Before you call them to use their towing service, ask them for the price! because they pull me out the mud, for $350!! POS they’re suppose to be “reasonable”
Mr. Livingston is so professional and expert at his job, yet thoughtful and patient during emergency situations. He absolutely rescued our family during a problem with a 26-foot moving truck. I highly recommend Livingston's Garage for any vehicle needs.
Beware. This is the kind of shop you get warned about. Needed a quote on an exhaust leak. When called they wanted us to leave it and then they would tell us what it would be. Basically bring it in and then they would do the work while they had it. We told them could not do that because did not have another vehicle and would be happy to schedule a time for the quote and but would have to bring back because of work schedule and wait while work was being done. They did not want to accommodate us—their way or no way. So called around. After same type of customer service issues with others in the area decided to take chance and drive in for a quote. Wife took in car. Livingston’s told her she needed a whole new exhaust system including muffler and catalytic converter because leak was in front of converter. When she asked if all those parts were bad they told her no but could not guarantee how long they would last. Price quoted was well over $300 for new system. She scheduled repair with them. I thought that was odd because I had visually checked all I could on system and saw no problems with all. I knew problem was somewhere between manifold and converter. Told her to try again in Jesup. This time she found a shop that told her the only problem was that some connection brackets had rusted loose near the converter and that was causing the leak and noise. He replaced them for $20. When she told him the story of what Livingston’s had tried to sell her he apologized that she had had the problem and that everything else on the exhaust was fine. She gave him an extra $10 because he originally quoted her $30 but found the issue not as bad as thought. When she paid he tried to give the $10 “overpayment” back but she refused thanking him for his honesty. Apparently Livingston’s is a classic mechanic shop that will see a woman come in and take as much advantage of her as they can by thinking she is gullible, and they can get away with a full, new, expensive system because she won’t know any better. First they wanted to keep the car and then give the quote, and then they try to take advantage of her with expensive unnecessary repairs. Make your mind up for yourself. But I wouldn’t recommend using these people period—man or woman. Do you want your wife or daughter to go there?
