We were there with a group of 24 and it was a very positive experience. Wonderful family like atmosphere. Servers work well together and are very attentive and polite. Good is great!
The food was a symphony for the taste buds. The staff was wonderful even to the point of accommodating me with my service dog, a Great Pyrenees. We've been in the woods for over a week hiking the Florida Trail. It was my first restaurant meal in a month and I couldn't be more pleased from the blackened scallops through the sides and right to the key lime pie to finish it off. If i could give this place MINUS 10 stars, I would. Took close to an hour to get our food. We asked why there was such a delay and they said it will be coming in the next 5 minutes every time. I was about to leave when they finally brought the entrees. Talk about NASTY, NASTY food. It was their "special" so I thought it would be good. Wrong!!! Collard greens had BIG chunks of bones in them. Awful tasting with no flavor. The "roast" pork was more like boiled pork, shredded and had no seasoning. I was starving but I couldn't eat that nasty food. I ate the scoop of mashed potato (boxed, NOT homemade) because it was the only edible part of my entree. The other order was fried shrimp and mixed veggies. I was fortunate enough that I got to eat the small cup of mixed veggies (slices of zucchini, yellow squash, onions and one tiny bit of mushroom) because my partner felt sorry for me. After our nasty food was served, they never checked on us again, and never apologized for the awful service. There were three young waitresses by the bar talking loudly, using foul language and cussing out the customers that were complaining about their awful service. That was a nice touch! I have no idea why this place is in business because after reading the reviews, I can see I'm not the only one giving them a negative review. The people who gave them a good review must have never had a decent meal at a decent restaurant. Skip this dump at all costs.
Okay, so im a bit biased because the owners are good friend, but there is a reason the place has such a regular clientele. Im there every Thursday for karaoke and will grab a hamburger or grilled fish. However, their specialty is fried foods, and even though you can get fried food all over this area, theirs gets hight marks from the locals. I However, cant eat fried food anymore after a surgery took that off my menue. The staff are friendly folks who care about the reputation of the place, and it has a family run feel to it. This is not a place to get drunk and show your butt like you were in some cowboy bar, its a family friendly place, and disorderly types will be shown the door. Parking is plenty, the place is nice and clean, but in peak hours, you may wait a while to be served. Most times service is fairly quick. Be sure to check the schedule of live music, lots of bands play the smallish bar area, and it may get a bit laud, but at least its indoors so weather isn't an issue like some places around here.
Food was mediocre at best. Appetizer was mushy, cheese was awful. They need to replace their cook and choose better quality food. Prices high for the lack of quality of food, gave this owner/place a second chance . Went to there first location on the water in Panacea and it was filthy. Food terrible there as well. Don't understand how they stay in business. Crawfordville needs better restaurants!
I went here for a business dinner and I can't think of anything positive to say. They're wasn't very many people there when we arrived, but it took over an hour for us to get our food. The server wasn't attentive at all, we had to ask another server to take our order. They were out of almost all the sides and 4 or 5 of the entrees. Once the food got there it wasn't good. I ordered fried scallops and shrimp and received blackened. The scallops were hard as a rock and not edible and the shrimp were burnt. Everybody else at the table had similar experiences. I would definitely not recommend, there are many much better options in the area
Ate here on our short stay at the RV park next door. Food was just ok. They advertise live music but we didn’t attend on those nights. Convenient to our stay.
Went their yesterday and have frequented there during the winter for mullet. Hands down best mullet in the area. Authentic taste and battered in corn meal. The way grandpa used to make it. In the past and at the recommendation from a friend I went and tried this location. I was a little hesitant due to the other locations falling out but I went anyway. I was very impressed. The food was always great and the service was good. Keep in mind I avoided busy times like on Friday or Saturday evenings especially during the winter when folks want to go out for a nice seafood dinner. Those are why some of the reviews are probably bad.

Yesterday could have been better. Wasn't packed at all and our food for 2 of us took about 30 minutes. A little long especially for only three or four tables and less than 15 people. Server was a new kid and I overheard according to the manager a family member. He tried his best. The food tasted good but man there were some issues. The oysters were the smallest I had ever seen. Some were the size of a pencil eraser. No kidding. The shrimp were fine and scallops were also good. The grouper though, 3 small strips about the size of a carpenters pencil each. For $34- I was super disappointed. My friend got grouper grilled and shrimp and the grouper was the size of a small trout fillet with no taste. The taste for mine was spot on but the portions are waning. Also, they seem to be in need of people so I'm wondering if the cook was newer. By the way their prices just went up. Smaller portions and higher prices do not make for happy customers.
I will say that these issues arose when the Woodville location was starting to go down and also the Rock Landing location. Probably the owner putting pressure on the manager to cut corners. Needing people? Are they paying the employees? Not sure. I hope they do not go down. Then again, I will always have two great spots in Angelo's and Posey's.

Ordered catfish dinner fried with side salad and a baked potato. The catfish was very good! Everything was good! The server was very nice and patient with my indecisiveness ?. Would go back!
My first thought as I walked in was that it looked like a fun place to eat. It was packed with people and had a live band performing in another room. The server greeted us immediately. However, the experience changed when I noticed other guests being upset because their food was taking so long. Then I noticed our food was taking forever, too. Our server stood there at a table next to us, talking to those guests for 15 minutes without ever so much as looking our direction. When I got her attention, she just looked at me and said our food was coming up soon. Then she went back to chatting again. She told us multiple times that our food was coming. 1 hour later, I told her we were about to walk out. She begged us to wait. Another half hour passed. We were getting up when she said our food was being plated. When we got our food, it was NOT what we ordered. We were so hungry, we were going to eat it any way. However, the deviled crab was absolutely disgusting. It has the texture of canned cat food and dog vomit. The taste was so horrid that I spit it out.
(The shrimp was good, though.) We finally talked to the manager but still left the restaurant with heartburn and anger. There were 2 other tables that walked out plus another who stayed like us but were disappointed.
Ate there with family Saturday night. It was an hour before we were served are dinner. My daughter’s meal came out first and after ten minutes we had to go to the manager to ask for the remaining dinners so we could eat TOGETHER! Steal came out too rare and I got grilled Shrimp instead of fried. We never received Splenda for out ice tea. It was awful service . It was gross to watch wait staff bus and clean tables and then take orders and serve clients without washing hands after cleaning tables! The experience there has really declined. The salads are small and no longer come with crackers. The tablecloths need to be replaced. They are drab and over 3+ years old. Maybe tablecloths with some color and a coastal design. It’s getting as gross as Posey’s
On top of great, friendly service the food was very good and a great value! Plus, we were lucky enough to choose the night they had live music with the band "Kettle Black". Great musicians and fun to dance to! Oh, they made great drinks too!
Amazing place!!! Honestly, the hospitality at this restaurant, between Lisa, Starr, and Jay! It's been absolutely amazing ?!! I can't recommend this restaurant and bar enough!! What a great family owned business!!
Waitress forgot all about.us. she was sitting in the lounge area at someone's table and I had to go to the cashier to see if we could get service. When she left us she was supposed to be getting husbands tea , our guest his Cole slaw and when she did bring our appetizers she disappeared and we never got saucers for our appetizers. Waitress was older lady with drawn on eyebrows. She was friendly to start with but just absolutely forgot us. I always tip very well and needless to say we did not leave her a tip. We had to go to register to get our ticket and pay for our food because she was still enjoying hers friends or other customers she was sitting with in the lounge area.
We have eaten here numerous if times and have never ever been treated so poorly. Reaturant was much better when it was in Panacea. Our bill was $167. So we weren't a burger customer. Getting our.dood all evening was like.pulling teether with pliers.
I had the grouper sandwich. Let’s just say I was about to explode because I ate it so fast. My mom gave me a few pieces of her shrimp and that was good too. The tartar sauce was really good. The ranch was creamy and the fries were BIG!!! It was so amazing
Their food is always great. We haven't ever ordered anything there we didn't like. It's a favorite of my parents when they come to visit. My mom doesn't care for seafood but my dad loves seafood . It's a perfect choice for us. On a side note We recently took my parents there on a Sunday night. They had live entertainment -a young lady unfortunately I didn't catch her name and I wish I would have . Her voice was amazing . She was really awesome. If you are into live entertainment you should definitely check it out. Otherwise their food is always great so check them out anyway .
First time here. My experience was phenomenal not only was the staff friendly and helpful but also the people. There was a band named “Jet city“ that made our dine in even BETTER. Our food was delicious, one photo is the pick 2 with catfish & shrimp, the other is a catfish plate($16.99). I love that their hush puppies are included already with the meal and that they is pretty big. My catfish was fried to perfection not so soggy but with crisp and well seasoned. I don’t eat tartar sauce really but it was good as well.
It was empty to my dismay food knock out 24 shrimp you had better be hungry they was big I ate maybe half some for later great service food was out in 10 minutes hot n fresh place was clean surprisingly tractor outside up an down.
Well worth the drive out of the way!! Excellent selection of seafoods. We ordered crab cakes - delicious made with blue crab. Our entree of blackened snapper (fresh local caught) with shrimp was outstanding. Lisa and Robert provided great service. Super friendly southern hospitality. Homemade key lime pie - yum. Wish this place was closer to home! Next time we’re in the area we’ll be back.
Sooooo goooood! We have been going fairly regularly recently. We always get seafood and the kids get burgers.

My daughter and son in law went to the Woodville Restaurant and got there an hour before their closing time. They got their salad on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. When they dinner arrived it sure didn't look very appetizing.
