My wife and I have been taking our cars to Tibbit's for over 20 years and we would not take them anywhere else. They are honest and I implicitly trust them. Everyone is very nice! Randy is awesome! He explains everything in layman's terms if you are not familiar with automotive terminology. I actually cringe when says that we cannot fix a particular thing, "you need to take it to the dealership." But he knows their limitations, I respect that. I still try and convince them to work on it because my dealership experiences have been less than favorable. My father also takes his car there as well as my son. Finding a reliable honest mechanic is invaluable. This is the place!

We have been taking our cars to Tibbits for years now and we appreciate how they always takes the time to talk to us and share our options. We have older vehicles that we plan to keep as long as possible, so maintenance, timely repairs and clear communication are important to us. Glad to have found this business!

This is hands-down the best auto repair shop in Oviedo. I bring all my Honda tune-up and maintenance needs to Tibbitts, and they’ve always taken incredible care of me. When my Lexus GX470 overheated and I was convinced the engine was done for, Tibbitts brought it back to life—and even showed me how to keep the repair costs down. What I love most is the old-school American customer service. I have used Tibbitts for towing professionally and personally for years, and they always take excellent care with my vehicles. The customer service is the best.

I have been coming to Tibbits for years and the reason for that is the respect and quality customer service they have given to me, time and time again. I am young woman in my 20s & if you’re a young woman reading this, you know how mechanics can try to take advantage of you. Well, Tibbits is the exception. They have always been SO honest with me, even as going as far as to show me face to face what is wrong or broken with my car, big shout out to Robert for that. Also, Randy who has always been super kind & communicative with me from the time I damaged my splash guard, to the time I damaged my control arm. From minor things like oil changes to tire rotations to even more serious mechanical work, they have always gotten the job done & done right. And I am still driving my 10 year old car around thanks to them. If you need a mechanic, choose them, you won’t regret it!

Always helpful and extremely trustworthy. When another company lied to me about what I needed ($360), they told me the truth and their correct fix cost me under $30. I’ve referred many people to them in the 20 years I’ve been having them fix our cars.

Just got off the phone them and asked for price and time line to fix my son's car. They were honest and gave me great advice. I will definitely use them in the future.

Pleasantly surprised by my experience at Tibbitts. Randy is a master class in customer service and honest business. We were neglecting our car because we were expecting to pay more than the car was worth, but I was shocked by how fair the prices were to get everything we needed done. Tibbitts is a rare find! They are honest, thorough and the best in the Orlando/ Oviedo area. I have had the pleasure of taking my cars to Tibbitts for several years and they never disappoint. Tibbitts address issues with accuracy and integrity. They do not price gouge and they really care about their customers. I have an older (high end) car that I’ve owned for years. I took it to this place for a free evaluation “check up” to make sure it was safe for long trips. I didn’t have any previous noticeable problems. They make you sit in an area where you can’t see what they’re doing during the process which made me uncomfortable. It took them almost 2 hours to check it out and they gave me a 4 page estimate of items that needed repair which amounted to more than the car was worth. However, when I drove the car away, I noticed the engine sounded louder than it did before coming in. With a little research, I found the probable cause is the Catalytic converter is bad. I’m not accusing them, and I can’t prove anything, but, pretty coincidental that I now have a new problem I didn’t have before. I wouldn’t trust this place!

These good folks helped me out of a pickle with hurricane Milton barreling down on Tuesday and a roadtrip planned for that Friday. My AC motor was shot at 3pm that Tuesday and they fixed me up before close that same day. This is the type of shop you cherish.

You know, even though the vast majority of reviews for Tibbetts are 5 star, a few reviews highlight the difficulties of operating a business these days. Too many people not staying on their med's and having to vet, or blame someone else for their own ignorance and stupidity. Ridiculous and shameful. My family and I have been having our cars serviced for over 20 years at Tibbetts and they consistently do great work. Often they go beyond the norm to try and solve and remove the mysterious goblins that can infect an automobile. Friendly, fair, and exceedingly competent, is what Tibbetts crew has been providing the community for about 60 years now! Don't listen to the very, very few chronic complainers. PS. Just a customer. No dog in the hunt in any way.

After confirming the address, the guy who answered refused to help me or give me a quote! He told me he can’t help me & hung up. I guess they have their picks on who to help and who not to help. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT ACCURACY AND TO BE TREATED AS A VALUED CUSTOMER. I will reply here since it will not let me reply to the comment. Don’t lie. I didn’t argue with you and I most definitely had the address. You stated you couldn’t find it & didn’t even try when I told you that was the correct address but you were saying the wrong city. You lost definitely said I can’t help you & hung up. I’m not going to go back & forth. Your customer service needs work & if continued, it will show in your business.

The staff at Tibbetts came to the rescue when another repair place keep my vehicle for three days to then tell me they couldn't help. Tibbetts had the vehicle fixed in a few hours once it arrived at their location. The whole staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely return when we need another service.

Tibbitts is a great place to take your car! Starting with the efficiency of their work, I am always in and out with great results. I got my tire patched and it took 20-30 min and was only $25. What I love about this place is being able to support a small business while also getting fabulous care. The people here are warm and welcoming and remind me of a simpler time. Nice people 10/10 service

I am a graduate student at UCF and have been coming to Tibbits for repairs and maintenance since I was a freshman in undergrad. This place is hands down the best auto repair in the area! Their prices are more than fair and they are willing to work with you on anything, and the staff is so family oriented and friendly. I have had multiple maintenance and a couple repairs here and there on 2 different cars of mine over the years and I’ll never go anywhere else! Randy is awesome and keeps you updated every step of the way. I recommend this place to all of my friends and they deserve all the praise!!

Disgusting customer service. Didn’t even have two exchanges with the lady until she was being rude and dismissive. I wanted to get the suspension of my car checked out but she couldn’t because they don’t work on Audi. The incredibly rude and quick to anger response with an unwillingness to cooperate or even listen is telling of incompetence. Horrible mechanic if you can’t check suspension just because it’s a different car brand. Funnily enough it said on their website they service foreign and domestic cars. They even have a proud picture of an Audi R8 on there!! Edit: Slander will absolutely not be tolerated. Not once did I ever tell anyone to shut up and listen or name call. Why? Because it is against what I stand for. To fabricate lies is absolutely absurd. The truth of what happen is I told her she didn’t have to be rude to me for asking a question in which she responded by mocking me. Please refrain from lying to save face, it’s unsightly.

I have to say, I don’t do a lot of reviews but after seeing what that Lucas person wrote, I have to speak up. This Mechanic shop is always spot on. They are good people. The staff at Tibbitts always seem to go above expectations. Seems simple enough, you are told they don’t work on your type car that is the end of the conversation. Guess this guy doesn’t realize that different vehicles use different type of tools and perhaps not all mechanic have those tools since they don’t specialize in those vehicles. Seems to me the only one who is incompetent in this scenario is Lucas. Why do people have to be so ugly, rude and completely self-absorbed. I’m sorry the staff had to experience such a ugly person.

Since our son has been going to UCF, we have been using Tibbitts to service his Jeep. EVERY SINGLE time we've had the Jeep serviced, we have been very pleased with the exceptional service. Randy, who I've spoken with mostly, has been informative, helpful, honest, fair and true to his word. We highly recommend Tibbitts and look forward to using their services again when needed.

We live out of town and have a son at UCF we had him take his car to be repaired. The staff was very friendly! Prices were up front and more than reasonable. His car was ready within four hours. I will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them.

I had an issue with my car not always starting. Took it to Tibbitts and they discovered an issue with my positive battery cable assembly. They had to order the part, so it took a few days. Once the part arrived, they had my car back to me in tip top form. Their prices are reasonable and the staff kept me informed throughout the process. I highly recommend Tibbitts for any car/truck work.

I've been dealing with Randy at Tibbitt's for years, They've handled repairs for a variety of vehicles for me and my family. Their team has always filled me with confidence, not just with the services provided, but also that I'm not being overcharged. Great folks, they care about my family and want to keep us safe on the road. I certainly don't understand any negative reviews. These folks came recommended by a lifelong friend of mine, and now we both and our kids who drive, use Tibbitts for all of our mechanic, anything under the hood that we need!! Prices can't be beat, fast service, no push to have unnecessary work completed. They are truly a family and treat me like family as well. We've actually moved out of Oviedo yet make the trip when our vehicles are in need!! Please don't ever change!

Last week was my second time to have Tibbitts work on my car. The owner Randy was very nice and helpful. This time, my car would not start, and i needed a new starter. Tibbitts towed my car to their shop and fixed it within 3 hours so I was able to pick it up after work. This office if filled with good hard worker people just like you and I. My experiences with Tibbitts Auto Repair & Towing have been great! A friend recommended me to go there few years back. Now I take all my family & business vehicles there for all preventive maintenance and automotive repair. They are very honest and do excellent work at a reasonable price. Office staff is very pleasant and treats you like a “customer” not a “number”. I personally consult with the service manager Randy…He is the best. He has wealth of knowledge about automobiles. He will give you great advises that can save you lot of money!
