Iv been going to this place for a long time back when the women work there never had a problem with weight and when Todd iv never had a problem with weight but the guy they have in there now couple weeks ago he was off 30 something pounds on copper but that day he blamed on the rain but he did make it right went back 2 more times know problems until today had 3 baskets weight in at 50 pounds each and then another basket that 30 pounds these are plastic produce basket and I did not take that weight out but I know for a fact the basket don't weight the 30lb that he shorted me and I'm sure about the weight because I work at a store that sells meat and vegetables by the weight and they check on scales when it comes in big boxes and then when they sell it by the weight it all has to add up and they are checked by the state and know I'm not blasting any one and going to remain unknown my name is Doug elam maybe the next when costumer ask a question about the weight you think before you start holler at the costumer over that microphone in front of other people.
The service from all the staff is excellent. When I go and I'm attended by the owner, their scale matches my weight, and everything is fine. Except when the other person at the register is there—their scale always shows a lower weight than what I weigh at home. So, I won't be going to this place anymore because of this issue.
I’ve been coming to these guys for over 16 years. Always been good on there prices and I pass by 2 other places to come to them.
I’ve weighed my stuff in the past and they’ve always been with in a couple lbs of what I had . Will always come here because they’re honest.
To figure out how to get in was a puzzle but you have to drive around to the back entrance to then pull out to the front of the building drive way...there you await the clerk and take our your bags to be weighed. The Cash payout was easy. And they give you a receipt.
To be honest I didn’t know what I could recycle here. But, now I know not to bring stainless steel or too much “breakage” but I do feel like I should’ve have been informed maybe with a sign in the front or something but I’m happy I learned how to scrap better for some of my bigger items. Cheers!
Been here twice and neither visit was good. First time I went there was a huge line and moved slow as molasses. Also people weren't very hospitable. Went again on a Thursday around noon and the gates were closed with people inside. One of the employees said they were closed and to come back on Saturday. On the website it clearly says they are open during the week till 5 pm. I rode 20 minutes out there for nothing.
Called all day never got any answer then got there 10 before close they were already closing up. When I made comment about not answering phone and going to leave review one of their workers tried to fight me. I would not recommend anyone go to this place make the drove to Lakeland or lake Wales.the other place also pay more.
