After going to another transmission shop and getting double talk and feeling like I was being sold a bill of goods, I stopped by and met with Nick who was very professional and upfront about my options including pricing and time frame for completion. The pricing was very fair, and the warranty excellent, and they finished quicker than projected. I would strongly recommend this shop and I was also happy to learn they do complete engine service/repair and will definitely use them if needed.
I do not know where to begin! I live in West Palm Beach and my son is living in Tampa with .y sister. I first met Nick and the Engine and Transmission Center when my son had transmission issues with his FJ Cruiser. Being across the state it was very difficult to assist as he had gone to numerous shops that wanted to charge him ridiculous rates to diagnose the vehicle. I called Nick who advised to have him bring the vehicle in gave an honest diagnosis then had the vehicle repaired in less than 4 days. I could not have been happier he communicated with me throughout the repair and was trustworthy and honest. Recently my son was driving and said he heard a loud pop when he was pulling off the side of the road. He said all his lights came on and he didn't know what to do. I reached out again to Nick because of our previous positive interactions, he said he would scan the vehicle at no charge and let me know what was going on. As my son was driving the vehicle over there it started to smoke and it required a tow. His tow truck was unavailable and he provided me the number of a reputable tow company. The vehicle was towed to our family's house and the next morning as soon as he opened he sent his tow truck to pick up the vehicle and bring it to the shop. He was able to diagnose my son's vehicle finding out that the radiator had cracked where the metal meets the plastic. Today is December 18th and my son was supposed to come home for the holidays. Due to the vehicle being out of service he wasn't going to be able to come home. Nick called me advised he can get the part and ordered it ASAP. As soon as the part came in within three hours the vehicle was up and running tested,repaired 100% and ready for my son to come home for the holidays. That's an amazing Christmas present to me!! I cannot speak more highly of the professionalism and service we received. I have dealt with numerous repair facilities in my 36-year law enforcement career. I have only met a few that have been top-notch and this is definitely in the top two. If you need honest reliable and quality work look no further!! Way to go Nick & Engine and Transmission Center. Scammers! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. These people are liars and thieves do not waste your time at this shop. Go anywhere else. Nick Everly is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Will tell you one thing to get your car in the shop and then something else once it is there. Nick held my car hostage over a simple towing fee that he told me was complimentary. They also delete reviews so this will probably get deleted. I can only imagine how many bad reviews they really do have. The owner needs to make things right with me.
Superb service! I was skeptical at first when I tried calling the Tampa location and was connected with the Clearwater office. Didn't really want to go there due to the distance. They offered to tow my car. I agreed thinking my CVT was bad. Scheduled pick up for Monday morning. Driver showed up as promised, got a call Tuesday at 8:05 am with the diagnosis and was relieved to to hear its not the Trans but radiator leak causing shut down/limp mode. I authorized repairs and was notified Wednesday morning that the car was ready. It was then towed to the Tampa location for me to pay and pick up. Great service, very professional and honest. Highly recommend if you need service. Will use again if needed.
We were told by another shop that our transmission was shot and needed another one. We didn't like the quote from the original shop and a member of our church suggested we go see Nick at Engine/Transmission Center. We called Nick, scheduled a drop off and he told us to give him a day or two to look at it and test it. Nick called us and said we didn't need a transmission after all, and that ours was fine, only thing needed was new mounts. The price for the mount job was more then fair and saved us a ton from getting a transmission. We are grateful for Nick's honesty and integrity. We were already under the impression from the original shop we needed a transmission and Nick could of went with that but he was honest. I definitely recommend engine and transmission center.

I was charged $3,359.68 for a transmission rebuild. I was told 3-4 days by a guy named Nick Everly, (very professional) my truck was picked up on a Tuesday. I was fully paid up by Sunday. I think I’d be more inclined to get my suspension and rear end done somewhere else along with some motor upgrades. It’s better to be informed than not, I would’ve rather been told up front it’s going to take 5-6 days for my transmission and then get it back in 3-4 days. The shop I used to work at I’ve seen all types of transmission’s rebuilt in a matter of hours. The faster they get in and out the faster they get paid should be the motto. It’s now Wednesday the following week let’s see what the excuse Jason Canipe has today on day 7. To be fair I planned for them to pick it up a week prior to them picking it up that Tuesday and they needed authorization for them to do work so that was given Wednesday the day after them picking it up plus they don’t work weekends smh. It’s just a job for them not a love for cars. Be very wise with who you do business with. I’ll post an update afterwards because I know that they’ll probably respond with some sort of apology but won’t make it right. Time is something that you can’t get back. The truck is 100x worse than before it was “rebuilt”. I drove my truck from Las Vegas, NV to Florida and my transmission was slipping at freeway speed. Now after going to this shop it won’t go past 50 mph. It seems like all the positive reviews are from them paying customers or some sort of bribe. All the negative ones are like real people. It only takes one time to mess up because if you know what you’re doing then there is no reason why I would need to go back for the same thing more than once. I’m not going to stop until I get results through court, and then better business bureau, Code of Commerce department, etc.. Just know they won’t give you your money back just want you to keep bringing your car to them until they get it right which won’t ever happen because they don’t know what they’re doing and aren’t car people and don’t have a love for cars. If they did they wouldn’t do shady business.
Nick and his team are courteous, friendly and professional. I dropped off my Jeep grand Cherokee with a torque converter issue and slipping. Nick came back promptly with a reasonable estimate and a time for it to be done ( within one week). Not only did they take the time to rebuild, and ensure that my transmission was running up to speed, but went through all my old service records to ensure that the care of the car had been previously taken care of, which Nick had noticed that a previous shop had installed improper spark plugs and coils. He then prompted me to replace and gave me a reasonable estimate and had that done within the same timeframe as the transmission. I cannot stress enough that if you have engine transmission or any automotive issues, Nick and his team will be there to solve it. Thanks guys!
Another happy interaction with Nick and the Engine and Transmission Center team. They replaced my daughter's Jeep engine 18 months back and today they finished replacing her jeeps rear axle. I had the jeep in the dealer's shop for over a month waiting on the assembly. They had no ETA so we were stuck. Called Nick and the ETC team towed the jeep from the dealer for free and found a used axle with a warranty. Everything completed on time and professionally.

Service was great from towing guy(Emmanuel) to mechanics in back (they even had my old transmission parts laid out for my inspection) all outstanding. I contacted Engine and Transmission Center after the check engine light came on in my 2004 Acura TL and my diagnostic scanner revealed a code that indicted a transmission problem. Before contacting Engine and Transmission Center, I had contacted 2 other transmission shops that were referred to me by friends, but I got some strange vibes during my initial communication with them that led me to pursue other options. Thus, I found Engine and Transmission Center and filled out a form on their shop’s website where I detailed issues I was having with my car. I love that Engine and Transmission Center has an online form that you can fill out. It helped me easily communicate all the issues that I was experiencing and it was much easier to have those issues already documented for when I actually brought my car in. Recently had a lot of work done here on my 2003 dodge ram. Transmission rebuild, power steering pump,lights,windows,fuse panel,door hindges,air conditioning and many other repairs. Nick got it done in a reasonable time and very reasonable price. He made numerous calls to me on progress and pricing.he stated all work is guaranteed and any issues in future just let him know. Nick was great to work with! My transmission would only shift to third gear and I explained the symptoms and error codes that I had over the phone. Nick was extremely familiar with the problem and provided an estimate 'ball park' if that was in fact the issue. They picked up the vehicle exactly on time and updated me 2 business days later once diagnostics began. The car was ready to be picked up exactly when he said. The parts are expensive but pricing was great. The communication was excellent from the texting about the tow, the updates, and paying the bill online. Highly recommended. Thanks!

Awesome people!!! My transmission went out in a Port Charlotte. We rented a car to get home planning on going back the next day and trailer it home. This company provides great service. I am not from the area and had issues with my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500. They did a free check of my truck, provided me with different options on repair and recommended the best option for me. The fixed the truck in a very timely manner at what I thought was a reasonable price. They also did a followup with me to ensure the truck was operating properly. I would go there again and recommend them to all.
After starting out with my local mechanic who recommended I get a used rear end for my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, I was recommended to the Engine and Transmission center by a local independent car dealer. These guys rebuilt the rear end instead. They have the expertise to do this type of work. I am so happy with the job. The truck runs great. They gave me a 12000 mile or one year warranty on it as well at a great price! I highly recommend these guys!
I want to start off by saying this place is amazing and the mechanics here are very knowledgeable. I had issues with my 09 jeep wrangler and Todd took care of me and worked with me even after 2 months of waiting for the right parts.( issues with other companies) Never had any issues with getting updates of the work being and done and the quality of the work is amazing as well as the time it was done. I would recommend this place for anyone that has issues with there vehicles. If you need anything done from the transmission to the rear diff Keith is your man.
