Horrible people hate kids dogs I was fishing and someone called Fish and Wildlife on my family just having fun then they charge you $129 dollars for property management very cheap houses if you want a nice vacation stay as far away from Venture Out as possible

Love this place. Poo, tennis court and pickleball courts are well taken care of. Their rules are a bit over the top but overall a great place.

Karens would love this place!!! Even though families have paid extra to have their beloved dogs to accompany them, the Karen’s have won another battle by making dog loves walk their dog outside the grounds. And Karen’s love the idea of no parking! If you park on the street, or anywhere else, you will get a boot placed on your vehicle! One night there were 12 boots put on cars for parking in a parking lot. Yes, you have to pay $5.00 a night to park there, but very limited spaces, and you have to know a Karen to get a permit! You can park 3 miles away and get charged $20 a night! Our unit had very little equipment in kitchen. No blender(a must to mix drinks to deal with the Karen’s!), no mixer, no big pot for boils, no baking ware, no pot holders, no irons, but had lots of bath linens. Karen’s love rules, and there are rules everywhere! No pets walking the streets, no pets allowed to walk along the beach, no pets allowed to walk on property, leave air conditioned above 74, when leaving, move to 78, leave no more than two loads of dirty laundry, etc., etc., etc. House was very dirty, had to clean the next day because feet were so dirty. Hand prints everywhere, on doors, drawers, glass doors and on mirrors. And Karen’s are everywhere! Kids tried to place pickle ball on tennis court because pickle ball court was full, Karen cried out, “Can’t play pickle ball on tennis court, get off.” They have a wonderful rec hall, but you have to pay to use it. They charge $5.00 to use the pool table or ping pong table, and Karen is watching!

Unit #599 is terrible. The 2nd bedroom fan makes serious noise and you can't shut it off. No overhead lights in the kitchen so you can't see what you're doing. Safety hazards with two floor vents falling in. front DOOR WON"T LOCK! etc The Venture out facility is ok with canal side lots to pull your boat up and a very big pool.

First time renting there. The location was perfect. We enjoyed the week staying there very much. Centrally located between Key West and the middle keys. The house was equipped with everything you would need. And was very clean.

We love this place so much! Always get the same air bnb every time we come. It has a really nice pool and hot tub, multiple laundromats, and is centrally located to all the good stuff. They have security driving around all day and night which makes you feel safe and secure. Its a very quiet place with very nice people. Best part is, if you dont want to cook it has really good restaurants minutes away.

Place is a JOKE to say the least.... We have rented a lot at Venture Out for a year, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. From day one, I felt unwanted by the staff members and neighbors. With weekly complaint calls from the office resulting in rude and condescending responses from ALL staff members with no positive resolution. ||||One staff member in particular, Kelly from the security department, is especially rude. She rides around in her golf cart and, when addressed by tenants, simply blows them off. Even another staff member at the hut mentioned that everyone complains about her, yet she remains employed.||||Additionally, the property itself is not very well cared for and management is a joke to say the least, which adds to the frustration. It is neither family-friendly nor pet-friendly they say they are "pet tolerant," as I was told by STEVE in security.||||Overall, this has been a frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend renting here. If you value your peace of mind, look elsewhere!

The place was very nice but the security people are a complete joke!!! We purchased an extra parking spot in the over flow area only to go put are trailer in our spot 2 days later and there is a trailer parked in it ?? We go to security to inform them that there's a trailer in my spot. He says oh I sorry we didn't see your trailer parked there so we resold it?? I paid for the week and just because noone saw my trailer there they can resell it?? And when they saw I wasn't buying it he changed his story to he only sold me half of the spot and I can squeeze it in ??? LoL They refuse to remove the trailer from MY paid for spot and told me that if I park my trailer under the car port of the home I will be charged 100.00 a day in fines. I so hope they do that and I will be seeing them in court !!!

We stayed here for 4 days and 5 nights. It was very lovely. The attendants always welcomed us with a smile and wave. The house was charming, clean, and had everything we needed. The pool was nice and the view was amazing.

Great resort. Our rental was very clean and nicely furnished. Enjoyed the pool and the fact that there was a channel just off the back deck. Loved the fact that the pool was clean and that there was a store on site.

The only thing that made any of the stars 4 out of 5 was light pollution for me. There was a owner or renter with really bright flood lights that stayed on all night blocking my view of the Milky Way ???. I totally wanted to knock on the door and offer them a bit of cash to turn them off for a bit, but thst would have been totally weird????. Other than that, I can't wait to go back.....very soon. I love the lazy town vibes after a very busy work week to unwind. It's a great location for boaters as each street also have a boating dock/channels. If you're looking for a fancy resort, this isn't that....but if you're a boating enthusiast or simply love being on the water, this is totally the spot....and it's only a 30 minute drive into Key West or about 10 minutes or so from Big Pine for your shopping needs.

Not an ideal place for fisherman etc. more like a retirement home. Paid $3000 plus dollars to stay for 4 nights. Security would not allow us to use the ramp to pull our boat from the water after check out. Do better!

If I could leave zero stars I would. This was hands down the worse place we have stayed. We arrived at 12am from an 8hr drive and was forced to run around loading and unloading our things and boat just to get in our home after 2am. Was charge $200 between all the extra fees and parking fees at gate and was not allowed to dock boat at home even for 30 minutes to eat. Not family or boat friendly. 15 minutes city prison this place is!!! Venture out left us home sick and with a very bad taste for the keys! Pics to show that even a baby flats boat was not welcome.

Amazing little place, unit 411 is super clean, awesome location with a 35' dock space for the boat, we'll set up and hassle all the comforts you need. there's a mini mart on site, fuel pumps, ice, and all the stuff needed for a keys vacation

My son, his wife, two grandsons and I stayed at #614 for several days in late May to attend the memorial for my sister. My son made the arrangements and I wasn't sure it would work but it did perfectly. It has a beachy decor and was super clean. There were two nice sized bedrooms and a comfortable sleep couch. All had fresh linens and comforters. In addition there were two bathrooms one with a walk-in shower and plenty of towels. A fully stocked kitchen, a large family room, roomy closets, ceiling fans and a washer and dryer, completed the picture. The house was kept comfortable with effective air-conditioning. Lastly there was room for our rental car. What was a sad occasion turned out to be so enjoyable because of this welcoming home.

This is our 2nd time staying here. Different accommodations but equally pleased. Our host Dave M. answered all our questions with a few minor things that were out of place. VO is safe, comfortable, enjoyable and offers you a lil bit of everything even if you don't leave the resort. There's a grocery store, library, playground, swimming pool, tennis courts, pickle ball, soccer and a hot tub!! The neighbors you interact with are friendly as well.

What an AMAZING place!!! So beautiful and people are so friendly, they have an amazing pool and marina area so you can sit right on the ocean ?. I cannot wait until I get to go back. Worth it all.

Short term rentals, they allow 6 guests but only 2 cars. They have an overflow lot. It should be allowed but no you have to park off site and have to run around like a chicken with your head cut off to find a place where you can park.. Coming for a weekend? Don’t do it. It’s such a waste of time. What a waste of the small amount of vacation I get a year. BOO!!

The VRBO we booked didn't accurately describe the venue or rules well at all. The home was kinda run down and needing of upgrades/remodel. Also, the extra fees were more than described in the add. From our visit, great for base camp for bringing a boat to fish. In terms of destination, not so much. Not really set up for folks to take advantage of the many advertised amenities.

Great place to stay if you have a boat. Nice boat ramp, had trailer parking. Friendly people, everyone was so nice! Safe area, well kept.

Security guards can do to do with a little more grace and humility. I feel like it’s a prison here. You never know what you’re allowed to do or what not to do until you drop the soap. And all serious that they don’t cater to renters. They’re more for long-term people. I do not recommend renting here unless you plan to buy and die here. Also, if you have a dog, remember, you have to walk on the road of piss It was interesting to see what an RV community can become when people waiting to die take over, but will probably not be returning. Also. If you don’t have a lot on the water, it’s gonna be a real pain in the butt for you to get your boat in and out there’s no parking or nothing that’s convenient. And they’re not very nice about it. Oh, and if you want high class, this is not it. You pay an exorbitant amount for a trailer park. There are a few nice houses, but most of them are hodgepodge together. They also think they’re a hot shit which is quite funny. Three out of five stars would probably change management

Poor customer service! I bring groups of paying scuba divers 2-3 times a year and rent two houses for the last three years. Due to tropical storms causing 30knot winds and 5 foot seas the trip was canceled. There was no refund or even a credit for a stay we were planning in 3 months! Absolutely horrendous business sense for loyal customers.

We had a great time here again. We had a large group of families and friends getting together and this is the perfect place for it. Each family can book there own house to stay in, yet we are all nearby to hang out. It's also a perfect place for boating with nice docks, plus a great ramp and a marina for fuel and ice. We enjoyed our trip.

We have been staying in Venture Out every Summer for over 10 years and keep coming back. having a boat ramp and marina are perfect! Lots of options for houses and multiple families and friends can all stay in one resort. Your boat is able to be parked right behind your house in the water at most houses. Large swimming pool right on the water. Family friendly not a party resort.

We have previously stayed here before and it's always a great time. Check in process went smoothly and security was friendly as well. Down side is the lack of trailer storage for our boat. We had to find a place off site to accommodate our trailer. I highly recommend First class Seafood for trailer storage. Those guys are right down the road and are awesome! Upon dropping our trailer off we met a new security group that was super rude because I forgot my pass in the house we were staying. My friends also had a rude encounter with the ladies at the security shack while checking in as well. House 5 stars Convenient store 5 stars Trailer parking 2 stars Security staff 1 star!!

Great location in the Keys while working there. Was there for a month and was able to rent a lot for my RV while there. Was quiet, clean, beautiful location on the water. Security personnel were polite and made entry quick. Park was beautiful to walk in every day, safe, and the folks living there were friendly.

Been going to venture out for 3 years now. Don’t know if I will return next year. Security is really Strict in venture out. It is also very expensive. There are also some residents that are very rude. Bathhouses are FILTHY. Pool is alright. But they are very weird about the pool. Sometimes they just close it for no reason. And they also cut the power to your lot. And water front keys reality is a selfish greedy company. They will rip you off if you let them. Try to avoid renting V.O units with them. But anyway it is a nice little “resort” more like a gated trailer park than resort. But anyway it is a good place just some issues but it’s the keys so you really can’t complain.

We stayed for 12 days. Nice quiet and clean resort. Mostly retirees and snowbirds. Everyone was friendly. Pool and hot tub were clean and never too busy. Small little store to get anything that you don't feel like leaving the resort. We liked it since it was between Marathon and Key west.

How can you go wrong? Best view ever. What a great house for 2 couples (could have held another)! The owners of this property must be incredibly attentive to the maintenance of their “home away from home”. Everything WELL DONE!|The resort facilities are excellent, pool, hot tub, tennis, pickelball, clubhouse- participate as you like - all fun activities. |Can’t wait to return and will hope to stay longer!!!

If you are looking for a place to let your hair down and relax and unwind, probably not the place for you! The rules and regulations are ridiculous! There was 4 of us staying in #509 and we kept getting really stuffy and happened to look up and see one of the Vents was surrounded by what look like mold! We stayed 6 days, we were left 1 trash bag nothing for the dishwasher and 1 pod for washing machine. The house itself was nice besides mold and a few sugar ants! Going to the pool suck’s the permanent residents not so friendly no music! So if your looking for all of that go to a resort this is not a resort. The ladies at the store were amazing and so sweet! We arrived at 7:00 pm guard gate and security were pretty helpful! As we were leaving we pulled boat over to pressure wash and did it in a timely manner only to be also rushed because someone had no patience! Unfortunately won’t be returning, too many rules and restrictions for a vacation get away. I get it they are trying to keep things clean and pleasant for the permanent residents but this is just a warning to people like us that are clean and extremely respectful that it’s just not a fun place to vacation.
