Then they have you standing outside waiting for someone to show up for a long time after you paid already! If they are so prestigious how come there isn’t enough money to pay for more workers! Scam Alert – Please Beware!
This company is operating in a very suspicious and unprofessional manner. I will be reporting them to the proper authorities and urge everyone to double-check their active business and towing licenses in the State of Florida before doing any business with them.
They towed a vehicle and then demanded $300 in cash only, refusing any other form of payment. That alone raised a red flag — legitimate towing companies in Florida typically accept multiple payment methods and provide proper invoices or receipts. To make matters worse, instead of returning the vehicle to an official towing yard or authorized location, they left the car sitting in a random parking lot. Who does that? That’s not how a legitimate towing company operates, and it raises serious questions about whether they are even licensed or insured.
Everything about this experience felt shady from start to finish. They insisted on meeting in a parking lot for the exchange, didn’t provide any proper documentation, and acted as though this was a normal process. It is completely unacceptable to charge someone hundreds of dollars and then abandon their vehicle somewhere unsafe.
I strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid this company entirely. If you’ve had a similar experience, please report it to local authorities or the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) to help stop these types of illegal or unlicensed operations.

Give you permission to conduct business there ? You guys have all my information. I witnessed other cars getting damaged as they were towed out. A white Teslas bumper scraped the floor while I was waiting to pull out . $145 is unethical and I’m pretty sure it’s illegal what you have going on.Either your driver had a horrible cold /runny nose or he was under the influence of cocaine driving erratically to take as many cars out of the parking lot . I don’t appreciate the intimidation more than having to pay the $145. You have my license and information I don’t appreciate your company predatory tactics . It is unsafe.
If I could give this company a ZERO I would. Customer service is horrible. The person answering the phone does not give you a chance to speak without hanging up the phone and leaving you talking to yourself. I've dealt with other towing companies and for sure this company is the worst
If I could give zero stars, I would. This company towed my car and caused serious damage due to improper towing. Since then, my vehicle has struggled to accelerate and won’t go beyond 50 mph. A mechanic confirmed the damage was caused by how it was towed.
I contacted the company to resolve the issue and asked to speak with a manager, they told me I had to file a complaint on their website and wait 48 hours for a response. I’ve filed formal complaints with the BBB, the Florida Attorney General, Miami-Dade Consumer Protection Division and the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Very negligent. Avoid this company at all costs if you value your car.

I am writing this review to formally denounce the unethical and predatory practices of Prestige Auto Towing, particularly regarding their operations near Florida International University (FIU).
This company tows vehicles at night, yet when owners attempt to retrieve their cars, there is no staff available at their facility. They force individuals to wait over an hour for someone to arrive—if anyone shows up at all. Otherwise, you’re left with no choice but to return the following day, incurring additional fees due to their deliberately restricted access and poor service.
Their customer service is unacceptable. Representatives are unprofessional, dismissive, and provide no clear explanation for delays or procedures. This is especially alarming considering the company’s proximity to a major university. Students are being unfairly targeted and exploited, often with limited resources to contest these practices.
If a company is not available for vehicle retrieval 24/7, they should not be towing vehicles at night. This is a clear case of bad faith and could be considered an unfair and deceptive business practice under consumer protection laws.
I strongly urge others to report Prestige Auto Towing to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Companies that operate in such a negligent and exploitative manner must be held accountable.
This business is not just inconvenient—it is predatory, and it must be investigated to prevent further abuse, especially of vulnerable student populations.
Absolutely DISGUSTING behavior from
this company unlawfully towing cars. My mother was working and they mounted her car within 2 minutes of her exiting her car and then they demanded a let down fee of $60. Thieves literally running the streets it’s so sad what companies have came to, to steal money.
Not a 24 hours service as posted. When calling his 15 min to 20 minutes became an hour and a half waiting for him to come. What a disgrace to have to deal with this company.
These are thieves and take your car without being called or given authorization. My car was towed from a visitor spot at a complex when no one from the complex called them to take the car. When I arrived to pick up the car, they had not even put it in "the system" and the guy asked me to send him the money through zelle, to his name! not even the company's name which means he is stealing also from his own boss. Of course he didn't provide a receipt or anything. Blocked the entrance of the place until i paid him. This is a scam company.
They illegally and unlawfully tried to tow my car. Forced me to pay a drop fee. I argued and argued about how it’s located on a public road. They can not tow car off of a public road. 3 drivers showed up as if they’ll intimidate me. They’re all about as dumb as the asphalt I was parked on. After 3.5 hour ordeal and involving the police department. The drivers came back to the scene where a police officer had to educate them like children about the difference between a public road and a private roadway or driveway. Also how they made up their own fire zone or fire lane but there’s no signs or lines in the road. Mind you the drivers all agreed that a vehicle that was directly blocking a fire hydrant was ok. Drivers and company all put blame on the community I was parked in front of but again police educated them that the community ends at the sidewalk. Street is public. They argued with police. Also I contacted the community and they said no we hire them to enforce our parking garage but have made it very clear the street belongs to the city. Police eventually gave them the ultimatum of refund. It is theft and unlawful seizure of my car. If they had taken it, it would have been considered grand theft auto. The drivers were very rude and arrogant saying they’ll take any car that parks here. Even to the police they said we will take this guy next. At this point is when the officer educated them yet again that they can’t. Their spotter pretends to be not tied to them with his Walmart grade security shirt.
The next day I eventually got a call back. However I asked multiple times to be contacted by a manager or owner. Because if this does happen again to me or anyone I know then I will escalate it further. Police offered me to make a case and I did. They’re thieves and scammers. It’s a hard business but do it right. Don’t scam college students and kids who don’t know the law and just fold.
Seriously, I can't rate them lower than one star—they deserve negative stars! I was gone for, like, two minutes, my emergency were on, I was just bringing groceries in, and this guy was already putting a tow hook on my car! I talked to him, howed him the rest of my groceries. He said it was either $72.50 now or $125 at their place. Can you believe a college student having to pay $72.50 for two minutes? Worst towing company ever.
Very disgusting people and company. My car was towed from my apartment complex and when I ask how do I go about getting it back the man was very rude to me and yelled then proceeded to hang up in my face.
I called again the next morning and went to their auto shop before they closed and said that they couldnt help me because their computer turn off at 5pm when the website says they are open till 6pm.
They had me and my mom go to the lot that they put the cats in and we waited for 30 minutes, a worker showed up in his personal car and reved his engine at us which i guess was his way of tell us that he was here to help but me and my mother though he was a regular person here to get their car back as well as the other two people that were waiting with us.
He proceed to unlocked the gate after 10 minute of sitting in his car which only then me and my mom relaized he was the worker. I asked him for help and he refused because we didnt get out of our car when he reved the engine at us. I explained to him that we didnt know and asked why didnt he tell us that he was there instead of sitting his car. We were told that a tow truck was going to be arriving and thats what we were wating on.
The police had to be called since he didnt want to give me back my car. I had to pay an extra 25 upcharge at the end of it all.
Moral of the story disgusting people who finds joy in stressing people out.
Put my car by the building for 25 minutes on a emergency signal and this guy took my car asking for 145 dollars, as I came to him asking to get my car back. Making business on students is such a bad idea
Apparently, this towing company is unjustly taking cars from parking lots. They towed my mom's car from her own parking space. In her nerves, she forgot to report them to the police that same day. But now all social media, online articles, blogs, and all the backlinks pointing to their website will talk about all the bad things they are doing. So, in summary, before people find the good things about them on Google which I don't think they have any, they will first see all the bad things they have done.
DRIVER BLOCKED ENTRANCE TO MY BUSINESS and refused to move.
One of prestige auto towings drivers, ID# TL-5977, parked his truck with a vehicle in tow, directly in the middle of the entrance to the parking lot of my business, blocking both entry and exit lanes, preventing my customers from coming into my business, and refused to move when I confronted him about where he was parked.
Completely arrogant, disregard for a business that was completely unrelated to what he was there to do, the vehicle was not towed from our property nor did we have anything to do with their company. But they chose to inconvenience us and act like a complete moron about his actions.
Hopefully prestige auto towing addresses this kind of driver behavior, unless this is something that they encourage and condone from its drivers.
Tonight Mr. Prestige came to the parking lot of the community which I live and stated that my handicap placard was not applicable (LIES), Once the handicapped looking driver of the tow truck saw my neighbors coming to let me know is when he hooked up my car! Let me let you guys know something if you are going to run a reputable business then you need to hire reputable workers because what I SAW is not it. And had the nerves to be talking CRAP with my CAR which I'm the OWNER of. It is very SAD that your unprofessional workers tried to seek ways to take money from individuals and their families (scam artist) and lying that they are giving us a DEAL to drop our vehicles for $72.50 (SWAP SHOP DISCOUNT). This needs to reported to the better business bureau. Everyone here whom has had to take a lost due to unprofessionalism and waking up thinking you are going to wake up for work only to find your vehicle missing due to PETTINESS and hungry for money companies who are ripping people off.
I came to work Saturday on my Harley and when i finished work but didn’t want to crank up. I had no other choice than to call Aaa and they sent this company. I was concerned on the type of trailer they would use but gladly they sent a flatbed and with a driver that knows how to tie it down. I dove with driver on truck and for it delivered to the shop to be repaired. They did a good job by me and i will recommend.

Towed my car twice before Christmas in my apartment complex and damaged my vehicle.
Went upstairs to drop off Christmas gifts and parked in a no parking zone just to drop them off so I wouldn’t have to walk across my entire building with them. That’s on me even though it was 10pm, I was parked in front of a dumpster, and I wasn’t bothering anyone. Came back downstairs and the guy still wasn’t done fully loading my car. I asked him to lower it and he wouldn’t unless I paid him $80.
Two days later I’m going to work in the morning and my car gone from my only assigned parking spot. Mind you I’m the owner of a two bedroom apartment with only one assigned spot(I have been living in this building for three years, my car has always been there and it stands out so it’s not hard to miss.) I called the police and reported my car stolen only to find out this company had towed my car again. Now there’s a huge nail in my tire from them dragging it around and I had to miss two days of work(not how I planned on spending the holidays.)
Other neighbors noticed my car had been towed from my spot and mentioned it to me. There is a serious issue with the parking in my building, parking spots that are barely big enough for motorcycles and there aren’t enough for everyone that lives here. I highly recommend staying away from Prestige Auto Towing and their shady business as well as any property associated with the Florida Advanced Properties HOA. Happy holidays to them and hopefully they don’t wake up with their cars missing from their driveways, pay $200 to get them back only to receive them damaged.
Ricardo helped me greatly on Friday.. He safely delivered my Mercedes from Kendall to Plantation! He did a great job with taking his time and making sure my car didn’t receive damages. Also jump started my vehicle as well as airing up my tire.. The guy went above and beyond! Also great personality and caring guy. Thanks again Ricardo!
Although no one likes getting their car towed, the overall experience with the employee named Richard (the Venezuelan) was impressive. His thoroughness and excellent customer service was something to be noted.
The process to pay and drop vehicle before being taken was smooth and easy.
Richard was amazing. He responded very quickly, called to update me on his ETA, and put me at ease the minute he arrived. He tried to troubleshoot and offer a few options of what could have caused the issue, and safely towed my car to the auto repair shop about 40 minutes away. I am so grateful that Richard responded and helped make a stressful situation with my car a little easier. Thank you Richard!!

Amazing customer service! I first spoke with Cesar and he was able to provide a quote instantly, answered my questions patiently. The driver, Richard, was friendly and provided great service. Provided greater conversation during the drive until we reached my dealership. Should I ever need help again, I’ll definitely be calling again and asking for Richard by name!
Richard was amazing! He came to my apartment and helped me with my battery and towing service. He cared about my time and money. He took the time to look at my battery and other parts of my car to be sure everything was working properly. He took care of my car and really cares about his customers. One of their male tow truck drivers stopped in the middle of the garage and got out of his vehicle to be violent towards me, because I honked my horn and asked him to move over, so i could pass. He got out of his truck in a confrontational way and left the door open on purpose (as seen in pics), so I could not pass, and then proceeded to insult me. I took pictures of the man and filed a police report. NO MAN should ever approach a woman’s vehicle in a threatening manner. Do not pay or use these delinquents who pretend to be men.
