This is the second time in less than 1 week where my car is towed by Trophy Recovery at the authorization of this 'unknown', self appointed association here at Romont South Condominiums. My problem with Trophy is that they have different 'drivers' pick up one's vehicle and there is no communication between them. I had a sign on my car stating that I would get a replacement decal on Tuesday as I missed the last opportunity, Thursday as I went at 3:30 p.m. and the hour was 4:30pm. Different from what I read on their poorly spelled sign in the laundry room. **of note: Trophy Recovery Corp. 8282 NW 64th St. Miami, FL 33166-2740. Trophy Recovery Corp. is NOT a BBB Accredited Business. When I was ready to go to work with my 59 year old, soon to be 60 year old butt, I realized my car had been towed. The tire marks were all over the parking lot from where my car had been parked. Called Trophy because that is the telephone number available to call, the male human on the other line, spoke poor English, was rude and refused to give me the address to their location. (I called and called again at 5:30 a.m and he would not pick up the phone after initial call. There is no critical thinking done by these 'drivers'. I believe they are criminals or some uneducated bozos. Anyway, My ExHusband helped me and we drove to this location and retrieved my car at a cost of $172.60. A female handled the process, she had a bit better manners...I figured this is an 'Association' problem and I will handle it legally. (Nardy? Nancy? She the proceeded to let me walk through their inner office, past their kitchen of this house looking business office in Hialeah, and into the gated area where my car was kept. From reading other reviews, I see, they are careless with people's cars as they tow them and refuse to be responsible. I just hope my car is okay. I will handle this legally from henceforth. I just think, since, although it is South Florida, this is still part of the USA and we the consumers have rights. Companies which are predatory, abusive, with poor customer service, such as Trophy is should not even exist. THANK GOD FOR DUE PROCESS OF LAW. Goodbye trophy Recovery corporation!

Reviewing a towing company is always tricky because the situation is usually stressful. They can be helpful when your car actually breaks down, but in my case the vehicle was towed from my community even though it had the required decal. That made the experience frustrating and disappointing. The process itself was straightforward, but the towing felt unnecessary and avoidable.

A very negative experience. The service was unprofessional and the staff was rude from the very beginning. The overall service was poor, and the attitude of both the office personnel and the tow truck drivers was unpleasant. Customer service clearly does not seem to be a priority for this company. I do not recommend them at al

They just illegally towed my vehicle out of my parking space. They are criminals and they need to be federally investigated.

This towing company is under contract with Samari Lake Condo and gets tipped off by the HOA whenever cars are improperly parked so they can tow. Unfortunately, many tenants and owners in the community are frustrated — it’s disappointing to see a company operate without integrity. Maria at the front desk was extremely rude, though I still treated her with kindness and wished her well. As a business owner myself, I understand that everyone is trying to earn a living, but there’s a difference between working hard and getting tipped off at 9am to tow a car to make a few bucks. When at 9am in the last 10 years they have never done a drive by at that time. I truly hope this company reconsiders its practices and chooses integrity over quick profit. Wishing the owners the best — but hoping for change.

“This agency is a complete scam. They only want to take money from people living in the same building. The car did have its license plate properly secured with plastic and screws, but they manipulated it themselves to claim it didn’t. Ms. María is rude and unprofessional, and the manager never faces the issue to explain what happened. They are irresponsible.

If there was an organized mafia of towing cars, these people would be Don Corleone. The lady doesn't really understand her role serving the public, since many don't have an idea of what happened, or for what reason their car was towed. In such a situation there should be no space for laughs, sarcasm, or double meanings. Even less of provocation: telling people that they'll do it against if possible. I'll suggest them that if the desire to give a better service doesn't emanate in their soulless heart, at least mimic it. Please check your vehicle and try to maintain a stoic attitude in such unpleasant and undesirable situation.

My experience with this towing company has been alarming and unacceptable. After an already difficult situation with them overcharging and being aggressive when I tried to resolve the issue, I discovered that an employee at this location accessed my personal information from their computer system and sent mail/packages of trash literal trash to my home address even putting her own address on it as well like it’s nothing and I’m assuming she did that so carelessly because she assumed she would never see me again since it is a Michigan address. This is a blatant invasion of privacy and a serious security breach. When I tried to address this with staff, they were dismissive and hostile. Without involving the police, there was no way to have a reasonable conversation they escalated, attempted to intimidate, and showed no accountability. Disturbingly, no one at the location could or would give me the owner’s name or contact information. I’ve filed a police report and will be seeking legal action, as I believe this behavior is dangerous and unethical. I strongly advise others to avoid this company and protect your personal information when dealing with them.

If I could give them a zero star I would. They claimed one of my cars was parked illegally even though it was parked in one of my Visitor parking spaces. They had the audacity of towing my car from my own property! They are thieves wanting to make a quick buck based off lies. Even with footage they don’t recognize their mistake or deviousness, hang up on you and refuse to resolve the situation. It’s truly a disservice to the community to allow companies like this to continue to have business and earn a living from lies and from taking advantage of residents. This company is a disgrace!

I wish I could give them zero stars. What a garbage towing company!!! They took my car even when it was registered and I had permits, my brand new 2025 car that was legally parked! They damaged both of the back tires and acted like nothing happened! Also, the super rude front office “lady” has the worst customer services skills ever! I hope they go bankrupt soon!! Reporting them to the BBB and consumer affairs next.

Super friendly the person who towed my car (I think his name is Amaury), I would let him do it again. 9.5/10, I don't give him 10/10 because he didn't let me sleep.

I had an incredibly frustrating encounter with this tow company. When I picked up my car, I discovered significant damage to the front, which appears to have occurred during the towing process. The situation worsened when I was hit with an outrageous fee. When I asked for an explanation, the lady at the front desk rudely asked if I couldn’t read instead of clarifying the charges. I refused to sign the contract until I received a proper explanation. Instead, she forcibly took the contract from my hand and recorded that I refused to sign which is completely unacceptable. To add insult to injury, my phone number was blocked, preventing any further communication or the possibility of escalating the issue. This level of unprofessionalism is shocking. I asked to speak with a manager, but no one ever returned my call. I’ve never experienced such blatant disregard for customer service. It’s unbelievable that a company like this is allowed to operate. Save yourself the hassle and steer clear.

Absolutely unprofessional business, got towed and once called the number they couldn't speak straight, just laughs were to be heard threw the phone. Once got to the address the personell was on top of vehicles playing music and messing around at 3 in the morning, defitnely not sober either. It's a shame businesses like this keep getting away with what ever they want. Shame on the management and shame on the business integrity.

Our van was towed at midnight, and we went immediately to retrieve it. That’s when the excuses started. First, they claimed the van’s wrap didn’t match the company name on the registration. Then, they said a company representative had to pick it up. I am the authorized representative, but they refused because I’m not the “owner.” They demanded a notarized affidavit, which we provided, yet they still wouldn’t release it. Next, they claimed the signature didn’t match perfectly. Then, they said the person on the affidavit wasn’t listed on Sunbiz. Finally, they insisted that a nationwide company modify its official corporate registration just to add me—or the actual owner had to show up in person. Seriously? That’s like towing an Amazon Prime van and demanding Jeff Bezos come get it. This is pure abuse of power, and the Hialeah police did nothing, saying it was a “civil matter.” So any towing company can run a scam like this, and no one will stop them? What a joke.
Mar 02, 2025 -
Abuse of power! They will do EVERYTHING possible to hold your vehicle for as many days as they can. They bombard you with endless excuses and demand ridiculous documents that make no sense. It’s all just a tactic to take more of your money. As if that weren’t enough, they charge $5 PER PAGE if they print any document for you, but they don’t tell you until the very end. When you question it, they just point to a disclaimer hidden among the countless notices plastered all over their walls. A complete abuse! Even worse, the Hialeah police are fully aware of their shady practices and yet, they refuse to do anything, calling it a “civil matter” instead of a “criminal” one. So now a business can openly abuse its power to exploit people financially, and that’s somehow not a crime? Shame on this company and on the city for allowing this to continue. Avoid this place at all costs!

This comment is to educate Renata Anderson. In Florida, vehicle registrations for individuals expire at midnight on the first owner's birthday. Under Section 320.07(3)(c), Florida Statutes, any person whose motor vehicle tag or registration has been expired for more than six (6) months commits a second degree misdemeanor (punishable by up to 60 days jail), if it is the registrant's second such violation. The driver of the vehicle was presenting a registration expired since 01/2024. Lets tell the whole story, not just the part that makes you the victim. What you should do is make sure that the driver of the vehicle has the current information to show that way the driver of the vehicle does not have to go thru all the different obstacles the driver of the vehicle did. Such as showing expired registration, expired insurance. We provided all the different solutions to this issued but the information provided was all expired. Copies are made, no pictures of the tag are taken. So, you are to provide the current information. By calling and using profanity and insults is not going to resolve the expired information issue. Of course you have to show the current information. It is not the towing company's responsibility. The employees vehicles are parked outside, your vehicle still inside for not having the current information to show.

BECAREFUL WITH THESE LOW LIFE SCAMMERS!!!!!!! They towed my car I went to the tow yard with all the paperwork they needed to release me the vehicle and they still didn’t want to release the vehicle just for the simple fact they wanted me to come back the next day to pay $400 instead of paying the $175 that same day. On top of that they try lying to the people saying that their paperwork if fraudulent just so they can charger extra days. As soon as I went in there taking pictures of their whole office and told them they are gonna take this up with my lawyer they released the car immediately!!

Be aware of this place!! I had an absolutely horrendous experience with Trophy Recovery Corp in Miami. This company epitomizes illegal and predatory towing practices. They towed my car without any justification, and when I finally retrieved it, I found significant damage that they flat-out refused to take responsibility for. Their customer service is atrocious. The staff was rude, dismissive, and entirely unhelpful. They kept me waiting for hours and treated me with utter disrespect. It’s clear they have no regard for the law or their customers. To make matters worse, their lot is a disaster. It's poorly organized and chaotic, making it even harder to get your vehicle back in one piece. Avoid Trophy Recovery Corp at all costs. They are a nightmare to deal with and will only cause you frustration and financial loss. This company should be shut down for their unethical practices and lack of accountability.

Unprofessional company. Towed vehicle and caused damage to it. The person on the phone would not provide their name or the name of a supervisor. They said they have a policy to photograph vehicles they tow and they did not photograph or want to provide photos showing the damage was not preexisting. They damaged the vehicle and will not take responsibility. Horrible company. I'm calling the BBB. The woman on the phone said, "It's our word against yours." Despicable.

The do illegal towing. My car was legally parked after I paid for parking permit. I accidentally left permit upside down but even after he spoke with security officer and he did verify that I paid properly and was parked legally he still towed the car. They are committing fraud and a disservice to the public.

Beware.!!! Absolutely dangerous company. Missing belongings from my car. They traded my tires for other ones. Missing gas. I had a whole tank and then had none afterward. They just have zero respect for anyone and also none for the law. Call the police if you have to deal with this company.

This company is FRAUD! The people that run this business are all a bunch of thieves. Be careful with these guys coming around your neighborhood. They have UNLAWFULLY towed multiple vehicles in my neighborhood and continue to harass people. I have them on camera dropping my car and a week later I had to replace the tire sensor because they can't even tow a vehicle properly much less run a reputable business. I will not give up reporting this business until its underground. Reports have been made to the Better Business Bureau and they do not even respond. The world goes round!

This has to be the most fraualent company i have ever experienced. First they just pick up on associations like mine to make business with. (And that’s a whole other story) but you call and they don’t answer. When they finally answer they act like they don’t know what happened or why you got towed. Second (maybe third reason) they answer the phone and act like they don’t know what happened and they can’t give you answers. And then they can’t even provide the number of who CONTRACTED them. This is not a reputable business. This is a bunch of low lives that couldn’t get a job anywhere else and live off of TAKING PEOPLES MONEY. Hence. Low lives. Good luck getting your car from these thieves. They will take and take and take. It’s a money game. This is the only way this business is thriving. They take from people. Period.

Scam artists, my car got tow away from Los Sueños apartments in Hialeah at 2:40 am from a visitor parking spot. This is some kind of scam prepared by Association and towing company. When I went to recover my car, the people working there are extremely rude. They said that only cash or ZELLE because printer and cards machines were broken. Red flag right there, violating consumers rights to pay with debit, credit or check. The receipt that they provide is a joke, handwritten that you barely understand. No contract between Los Sueños apartments and Trophy Recovery Corp was provided upon my request. They charged me $151 for a Class A car, fee should be $101 in Miami Dade County, I guess that the extra 50 is the commission for Los Sueños apartments. I will report them to Miami Dade County Ethics department.

I give this business a one star review only because there is no option for no star. The management office is unprofessional and apparently ran by careless people. The lady answering phones places everyone on hold for long periods, has an attitude with any questions regarding her job, hangs up on calls when she cannot provide intelligent responses, and makes you wait until late evenings to retrieve your car. Her name apparently is Maria and she calls back for insults when she cannot do her job correctly. This business is so eager to make a buck, they literally look for any chance to tow your car and they are slick about it. They set up entrapments in commercial plazas. When you finally do go to retrieve your car; the people running the place are in there back lot smoking and refusing to open the doors to actually run the towing business even if their website state their open for business. We had to call the police to get the car back- that’s how shady this business is. Ladies, please go with a man for the men working their require you to go alone with them to retrieve your car. Not only is it a hassle to get your car back but they damage your car and have no sense or sympathy about it. Remember the name of this towing company and steer clear from any establishment they service for they are rats and will steal and damage your vehicle.

Awful. These are the types of businesses that ruin this country. They towed my car, which I understand I didn't have a pass, but damaged my front bumper and slashed my tire. My neighbor has a camera and showed me what they did, they were so rough with my car. I had to file a police report as they didn't want to help me. They said they take pictures before they towed it, no where on the video from my neighbors house did they take pictures. They now have hung up on me and blocked my phone number. Disgusting behavior. Take accountability and ownership of how you treat others belongings and if you damage it fix it. It's not that difficult to be a good person. Do better.

I'm so glad I didn't have any issues because after ready the reviews I thought I was going to lose it. Just because its a Towing place you cant get mad at the workers or why your car was towed. I went for my son and the lady helped me nicely and with respect because I didn't give her an attitude and understood the policies. Its CASH only and that is fine. My son got his car back with EVERYTHING in it, including his gold chains and toolbox. Thank you so much for all the help in getting my son his car back quickly.

My car was towed right in front of my house by these people. I had it parked perpendicular to 2 other vehicles. I was never warned, no one knocked on my door, or even informed me that my vehicle was about to be towed. A warning would have at least let me know to correct my parking - which regardless wasn't even obstructing traffic in any way, shape, or form. I had parked there for an hour at most when they towed me, at 1:31am. When there's nobody around driving. My neighborhood hired them as their towing company sure, but they take towing calls from anyone who complains about an incorrectly parked car just to profit. When I figured out my vehicle had been towed and contacted them they stated I had to pay $180 to go retrieve it, then later as I was on my way they called me back to tell me it was $256 given a processing fee and a supposed $25/additional hour parked past midnight. Once I got to the place, I tried to have the guy charge me the original price quoted and the guy was completely unwilling to cooperate and says he's just an employee doing his job and can't lower the price... after having jacked it up $76 more.... Deceptive lies and thieves. And just like other reviewers have pointed out, they ONLY accept cash. When asked how they even managed to find out about my vehicle in order to tow it, supposedly they had someone call in about it, then they towed it, and had that person sign a form before leaving the neighborhood with my car. These people make money off getting calls, I wouldn't be surprised if people are incentivized to call them to tow others. Warning to anyone reading this, be mindful and wary of who your neighbors are... they're most likely the ones calling these guys to tow your vehicle.

They towed my boyfriend’s car before we woke up at 6:15am. My boyfriend has never had a warning or a misdemeanor at my apartment complex (Doral West). About 20 other cars that didn’t have a decal is left alone, while my boyfriend’s car was the only one that got towed. There was also a resident parked in a Visitor’ spot. All of these cars didn’t have a decal, nor were they in a parking spot. According to the complex, these are grounds for a towing violation. But they were still parked and here at 10am.

Got towed yesterday at my condominium and I know they are in business with the security. Giving money for every car the security calls in. I was told by the person who rented me the apartment that I was able to park there, still got towed. And they close early to make that storage fee money.. but you can still tow although your office is closed? These guys are scammers. The BBB and IRS will hear about them only accepting cash. The lady at the front answers the phone like she hates her job and no respect. Must have grown up in the jungle. Second time I have to deal with this company and they are the absolute worst. No idea how they are still in business.
