What clients say about Relics & Rust in Ocklawaha (FL)
WARNING......BEWARE!! I was contacted by the owner of Relics and Rust to purchase some 1850s items who then proceeded to low-ball my fair market price AFTER I had offered a larger quantity than original items. I reluctantly agreed. While he was on my farm loading items when I was not there (items ended up being 2 full loads instead of the 1 he anticipated), he incompetently sprayed staining chemical all over the side of my barn making a mess that he didn't clean up. Who does that kind of thing and doesn't fix it?? While on location of my family farm, he noticed another item he wanted. Over the course of several weeks, he repeatedly begged to buy it with numerous smooth talking messages--always ending them with silly emojis as if we were best friends or something. He even bragged that when he intended to "spend $5k, he would spend $30k" buying stuff. I coordinated with family members for him to purchase this large item. Upon agreeing to a price, I spent my own labor prepping for moving this large item, and he sent multiple documented messages that he would either send direct payment through Zelle immediately or mail a check "tomorrow" from a different account. A different account sounded shady. After all the hassle and coordination, he then claimed the next day he did not need it after all and would not send the money he had verbally guaranteed with a gentlemen's arrangement as well as written text . (Apparently, this antique dealer does not believe in honoring handshake deals). When I called him out on lying to me and the messy chemicals sprayed on my barn, he had the audacity to threaten me as well as name call/mock me while bragging, "Don't you know I get hundreds of calls per month all over the country. Lol." All of this is archived in his text messages. He even videoed my property without permission (I agreed for him to walk through a building, but never to video and post my private property online). It's also interesting how this man, the owner, has posted a positive review of his own business on google..... HIMSELF. UNDER HIS OWN NAME AS OWNER. Who does that?? I would never do business with this man or anyone associated with Rust and Relics again since they cannot be trusted. What's really rich is this owner has posted many negative reviews himself and downright rants on other businesses (even meager fast food chains) for doing EXACTLY what he does. e.g. His own words, "Don’t trust anyone that don’t keep their word! Will never call these folks again. Just bad faith and word is absolutely worthless....What the hell?"

You would do well to stay far away from this Relics and Rust business, folks. They are not what they seem.
