We had Dylan E tow my husbands truck home, and he was absolutely amazing. Our yard is a little goofy and he pushed the vehicle out of the way of the fences by hand, just so we could close the gate. He was also extremely nice to my kids, my son was so excited to watch the whole process. I would absolutely recommend this company, especially this worker in particular! The whole job was handled professionally and with care.
Complicated customer service, tried to get a quote for towing a trailer 15 minutes down the road to the dump. Sent them videos of the tires and was then told they couldn't do it because they might damage the siding on the trailer, while it is going to the dump to be demolished...
I clarified this, then they said they couldn't do it because they're not sure if the tires could blow. Considering the fact that they're towing, you're going to run into this potentially almost every single job. What is the standard process of figuring out if the tires are able to be towed. I sent videos. I'm not sure what more I could do. I probed for a solution considering they where not offering one. I'm assuming that this is a very standard practice and either you can tell from the detailed videos of the tires or you need to check it out in person, but just saying you're not sure if there COULD be an issue with tires doesn't sound like the right approach from a company that should encounter tires all day long. After I clarified, do they want to come out there or can they look at the videos in more detail, I was then told they're just not available. Why couldn't they just tell me the beginning we're going to pass on this job. Literally wasted my time and I had to pull answers out of them.
Liars, called 2 days in advance to have a car towed to a dealership, called after no one showed up, was told that no one was dispatched, said they would see what they could do, put me on hold, said it would be 90 mins, check again after another 15 mins on hold, said the same thing and hung up on me, do not use this company.
Janet and Dylan were very helpful throughout the whole process and complete life savers for the night for me and my family with us getting stuck on the side of the highway! Highly reccomend them 100%. will definitely call if need them again!
Crockett's towing came to my rescue, when AAA failed me. I was stranded in the middle of the night for hours only to find out from AAA my order was transferred to someone else, but they couldn't tell me who. It was a nightmare of a night. I called several companies and none had availability. Then I got to Crockett's and they were responsive, arrived when they said they would and the rate was very reasonable. I wish I would have called them first. I am saving Crockett's as my towing company of choice should I ever need service again.
I Was told car would be delivered after 6pm today rushed home only to find out that was a LIE now I’m told I have to wait untill the morning. 200 dollars to tow a vehicle 9 miles and I have to wait an extra day! The Guy at the gate is cocky and will lie to you. They will not reimburse me for the hours I had to take off work to try and get my mothers vehicle back it’s ridiculous and now I will need to miss more tomorrow morning. He should have been honest and I would have went back to work instead of rushing home for a tow truck that is not coming. They originally towed it from my house at 8pm at night now they have no one to tow it back in the evening? Earlier then when they pulled it out of here! Ridiculous and horrible customer service from the gate guy. At least the receptionist was finally honest. I wonder if it will be considered a priority now, and I posted this review on FB. You all should have been honest and I wouldn’t have had a review to write I would be at WORK!
Easily the best experience I had in over 20 years of trucking. I appreciate the blood, sweat. And tears. So many tears of compassion shared for my plight. Lmao. Thanks guys. Made a bad situation manageable. Respect.

Over the weekend, my 20-year-old nephew drove my father’s F-150 to Sarasota to visit friends. On his way home, the truck started running rough, so he exited at I-75 and Fowler and called my parents for help around 9:15 p.m.
My parents, who are 79 (mom) and 77 (dad—with heart issues), immediately went to help him. They contacted their roadside assistance service, HUM through Verizon, which is affiliated with Allstate. A tow truck from Florida Towing was dispatched. The driver told them the vehicle would be taken to Crockett’s Towing on Hwy 301.
Wanting to be responsible, my dad called Crockett’s to confirm they’d accept the vehicle. He was told absolutely not—they don’t handle “light-duty trucks” like an F-150, and they warned that the vehicle would be impounded for trespassing if it showed up. My dad informed the driver, but the driver insisted he had no choice—he said Allstate told him that’s where it had to go, and if it stayed roadside, it would be impounded anyway. So the vehicle went to Crockett’s.
Once they arrived at Crockett’s just after midnight, things went completely sideways. The staff at Crockett’s doubled down—threatening arrest for trespassing even though my parents and nephew were parked in their open front lot. My dad tried to explain the situation calmly, but they wouldn’t listen.
My 79-year-old mother, who had never had a run-in with the law in her life, was now being told that she was going to be arrested. My 77-year-old dad was visibly upset—he has heart problems, and the stress of this moment was intense. A flatbed truck came barreling into the lot like it was racing in Daytona, and a large driver got out, ready to tow the truck into the impound lot.
Trying to de-escalate, my nephew asked the driver how much it would cost to move the truck just off the lot to avoid conflict. The driver said $105, so they scraped together the cash—but when they handed it over, he refused, saying they “took too long” and that now the Sheriff had to come.
The Sheriff arrived around 1:30 a.m. and, thankfully, was calm and compassionate. He explained that technically, Crockett’s had the right to ask them to leave and press charges for trespassing. He spoke with the staff, and finally told my parents they would be cited for trespassing—but could return in the daylight with another tow company to remove the truck.
They got home at 3:00 a.m., and after hours of phone calls and frustration, finally got Xtreme Towing to retrieve the truck from Crockett’s around 12:30 p.m. the next day.
This entire ordeal was completely unnecessary. Crockett’s Towing treated two senior citizens like criminals, threatened them with jail, and showed zero understanding or compassion. My parents didn’t choose this towing company—Florida Towing was directed by HUM/Allstate to bring the truck there. It was entirely out of their control.
A friend once told me they saw a Crockett’s driver hit a sandhill crane. When they called the company, the person they spoke with laughed it off and said, “It’s no big deal, they’re good eatin’.”
This company clearly lacks compassion, professionalism, and basic respect. What if their parents or grandparents were treated this way?
Shameful behavior. And honestly, it felt borderline abusive.
I was involved in an accident on the interstate, where my car had to get towed from the scene. Tow operator Dylan Everett was very nice and explained the process with kindness and was very accurate
Would not recommend! This company hires inconsiderate or lazy drivers that don’t even make an attempt clean off their trucks of rocks and debris and don’t give a crap about other people‘s property They’re damaging on the road. If I was on my motorcycle, it would’ve killed me. Since it’s considered “road hazard “I am forced to repair this out of pocket. You guys suck.
Due to the recent storm situation in Tampa, we've had to call a tow company twice. Fortunately, they sent Luis both times. His professionalism and attention to detail made the experience great. Thanks Crockett's and Luis!!
The driver was really nice, but they showed up 2 hours after the scheduled pick-up time. I ended up missing my appointment at the repair shop and now have to wait for my car to get fixed longer. On top of that, I told them a day prior to pick up that my car was lowered and required special help to get on a tow truck. They said it shouldn't be a problem, even though we had to remove the front bumper. Then, 30 mins after they were supposed to pick it up, I got a call saying it would be an additional $75 to use the ramps to load the car. They ended up waiving the fee because I was going to cancel if they didn't. Not only were they late by 2 hours but wanted more money. My total tow distance was 0.7 miles and was still over $100. Would recommend going through AAA or insurance before calling directly.
Driver pulled out in front of me causing me to slam on my brakes and almost causing a wreck in Largo. Def would not recommend them as this driver should not even be on the road much less in a big vehicle.
Crockett is always great they are always on time friendly and able to solve just about any problem I send their way. Brandon the dispatch manager is always great about taking care of any towing need I have the difficult the last minute he is always super nice and extremely helpful Crockett will always be my first call for any towing needs.
The Experience was terrible spoke to the manager in charge ro let her know that the tow truck driver told me one price.And they charge me almost an extra $100. Her first words were hostile even yelling. My wife could hear her across the room. Will not use this company ever again!!

WOWIE! What a bunch of lying thieves! These people stole my Gixxer! They called the police on me and had me trespassed when I came into the office for my impounded motorcycle and tried to hand the rude lady my money! Refusing to accept my payment, they made me wait as they phoned the police and I had no idea what I was waiting for until the idiot HCSO moron arrived and forced me to leave the property without being able to retrieve my motorcycle! Let's all do our best to boycott this business and all owned by this company, let's show our solidarity as U.S. citizens by refusing to patronize corrupt, fraudulent, larconist's businesses!
What ever you do don't use these unprofessional guys. They block all the doors at Publix frozen foods and then have the nerve to honk at drivers for being impatient while our loads are blocked and starting to warm up the truck obviously didn't break down there so which means they pulled it there why would you choose doors that are going to be in use to block and then get mad at the drivers because they need to get into the doors
They have the worse customer service. I called on a Friday to see what I needed to release my vehicle from their lot to my insurance company. I wanted to make sure I was well prepared for this as I was 30 minutes from my home and would be inconvenient to go back if I didnt have the proper paperwork to release my vehicle. What they didn’t tell me was that their lots aren’t individually covered on weekends. When I got there Saturday morning I called and the employee told me it would be an hour before their employee could get to that lot. I told them I couldn’t wait outside in Florida heat for an hour much not to mention that no one told me this yesterday and I left my kids home alone and would be 3 hours before I got back. They were incredibly rude, put me on hold as I was still talking, raised their voice and talked over me, lied when they said they’d have the lot attendant call me back that Saturday when he would be available to let me in. I called back the next business day (today Monday) to be told that despite my unsuccessful attempts to access my vehicle this weekend they would charge me $70 because it was a holiday even though they were open, a convenience fee. I didn't pick this company for my vehicle to be towed by but but please believe I will make sure I review them so others can be aware of the difficulties you may face working with them. They don’t care about your individual needs and know that you need them more than they need you. It shows in how they speak to customers with disrespect and contempt.
Absolutely amazing! Called a well known tow company down the road and was told I had a 3 hr wait. I called Crockett and they where on site with a rollback in 30 minutes!!! Overall a great experience dispute being stuck on the side of the road, the wrecker driver was very knowledgeable and go my car on the rollback with no issues. Since then I’ve called 3 other times for heavy equipment tows and they have been just as amazing, I refuse to use another tow company now.
I waited over 3 hours for a tow truck and every time I called, I was told within an hour, no call after the first hour, so I called. I was then told again within the hour. Within that hour I received a call stating due to a car accident my tow truck was reverted to the accident. So, I asked is that the only tow truck they had, the dispatch said no, then stated he’ll be there within hour. After an hour I called back and was told the tow truck still had the vehicle on his truck and needed to drop it off. He was located on route 301 and I was on veteran express exit 4 (Hillsborough ave) that’s approx another 35-45 minutes. I requested to leave my keys and my truck unattended but was told no they will not tow without someone there. I called a separate tow truck company and paid out of pocket and he was there within the half an hour to hour but I was allowed to leave my car unattended. This process started at 7:40 pm when I reached to my AAA agent and ended at 1:35am after I called and pay out of pocket myself. I will NEVER use the company again. Crochet was the second company AAA reached out to but I do not know the name of the company.
Sean was really great. He was prompt and efficient. An underside plate from my car had dropped was I was driving down I75 and he was able to get me on my way quickly and without any issues; couldn’t have been friendlier or more positive despite a frustrating situation. Hats off to Sean, keep up the good work!
This company is the worst!! They told us 45 mins through AAA and when that was up they told us another 45mins then nothing. I then called and they told me the driver was dropping a tow before me and then he’d be on his way in another 45 mins. 3.5 hours later they say they called but we didn’t answer it’ll be another 45 mins. We’re still waiting! No one called!! Complete LIARS!!!! I asked to provide proof they called such as screenshots etc. They wouldn’t!! CROOKS!!!
This is for drivers who are not listed on their cars vehicle registration. Could be your spouses car. If you are involved in an accident and are NOT listed on the vehicle registration DO NOT allow your vehicle to be towed by these folks unless your spouse will be availableto deal with it. Why? I found out the hard way that only the registered owner of the vehicle can release it to the insurance company or anyone else for that matter. My spouse is visting family in Panama and I was not able to get these guys to release the vehicle to the my insurance company adjuster. You will need a noterized and signed release letter by the registered owner that list who will be cleared to receive the vehicle in their place. In the meanwhile, you/insurance company are being charged X amount of dollars/day for storage. You will also not be allowed to gather any personal items that may have been left inside the vehicle once it is in their yard. Lots of laws that regulate this industry. Do your due diligence before calling a tow company. Best bet is to have your insurance company arrange the tow to a company that works with them and lastly, collect anything inside that car that you will need before that vehicle is towed away.
The only thing I did was go to website so far. It took a couple times of calling and leaving a message before someone got back to me, but the girl was very nice the last time I called. She offered to try and help me since I still hadn't heard back from anyone. God bless her soul, the computer system was down or not working or something but she tried so I have to give it to her for the effort. Sh she sent me to the shops VM. But after that message someone reached out to me. They were very nice pleasant and helped me with my dilemma. Thank you
I was connected to Crocketts towing on a Friday evening around 5:30 PM by AAA for a tow service when my transmission blew. The confirmation from AAA had misinformation about my location and I wanted to confirm they had a flat bed to tow my AWD vehicle.
When I called, I was greeted by an extremely pleasant dispatcher. Corrected my location, confirmed they would send a flat bed and would be out ASAP pending any police call outs.
My husband called them back at 7:30 PM to confirm they were still coming and ensure they didn't need any further details. They apologized for the delay and said they would be out soon. We ran up to the next exit to get dinner and drove back to my car and ate dinner while we waited.
At 9:30 PM I called them again. We were low on time as I need to pick up my daughter from the babysitter. We agreed on an unattended tow.
Around 12:30 AM I awoke and had received no communication from Crocketts.
Around 2:30 AM, I awoke to find I still had received no communication. I called to check in. They confirmed they had not picked up my car but would be out soon.
Around 5:30 AM, I called again. They still had not picked up my car. Feeling worried about my car I drove back out to the location and called AAA. AAA indicated crockets would be there within the hour. When I arrived, I found my car marked by FHP to be towed in the next 30 minutes. So I called FHP to ask them to leave my car.
At 7:30 AM, I called Crocketts back and they said they would pick up my car at 9:00 AM. I promptly cancelled the services and reached out to another service.
Everyone I spoke with was pleasant and kind. However, the lack of communication, promptness and never picking up my car forces me to give them a 1 star review despite the kind dispatch staff.
Spoke with someone this evening on 1/2/22 around 7:15 - not a lady named jasmine (she was sweet and understanding) but your other coworker is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional hung up on me twice. I called for aaa, you guys called me setting up a time within the hour. I stayed by my phone. It took over two hours and I happened to miss the phone call. I called back within 15 min and the lady said too llate we canceled and you’ll have to reschedule with AAA and I explained that she had just called me one time prior to that. And she was a complete ignorant unprofessional employee and hung up. Idk if she was having a bad day. I called back and she still had the same issue. I would be absolutely be embarrassed to have someone like that working for me. Maybe she should take customer service classes.
