I wanted to share my recent experience with the towing service, which unfortunately was quite disappointing.
GEICO’s request clearly specified that my vehicle required a repo truck with dollies. I confirmed this information personally with the towing company to ensure it was received by their dispatcher. However, after waiting over two hours, the tow truck arrived without the proper equipment and was unable to assist.
During the entire wait, there was no communication from the company. I had to call myself to check on the status, and the only message I received was a text sent when the driver was just 10 minutes away.
Overall, the lack of communication and the excessive waiting time made for a very frustrating experience.
Our fleet manager hired them to load an ambulance for $200 total and then when they were onsite and loaded they wanted additional $700... told them to unload... this is EXTORTSION... do not use!!!!
Their driver GREG has their driver has the worse attitude & driving skills! He blocked off an entire intersection for 3 light changes & when he overheard me talking to a cashier about his actions he approached me and replied I’m doing my job !!! Yeah it’s 2022 & people still feel entitled to do whatever they want even if it affects others ! Sounds like entitlement right & of course this company is ran by vanilla people so when I called to complain the guy that answer the phone said okay thank you & yeah go ahead and do that as he hung up in my face !!! I hope their business suffers due to their lack of RESPECT for anyone of any race !!!!!!!! If I was a Karen I’m sure I wouldn’t have gotten that response

Car was towed. Asked for a copy of the recipe for the tow. Would have been paid through a gap insurance for a loan. Owner refused to give me a cope. Said he didn’t have too but told me he had already placed a lean on my name @ DMV. Went there no lean was pending until three months later. Really… I still haven’t paid and refuse to.

I got my car towed by this company. I was paying a loan and had gap insurance for the loan when the car was totaled. Called multiple times and even went to there office they refused to give me a receipt. Really shouldn’t have been much of an issue if it already was It The system
Tony and the guys are the best!! If you need an honest tow company they are your folks!! We own a repair shop and we have tried all the big guys and they do a good job but sometimes you can get a better job done by someone who wants the business more. You won't be sorry
I don’t normally write reviews but I feel like everyone needs to know how great these guys are.my car battery died and I really needed a jump. Being new to town and not having triple a I called these guys on a whim. I let him know my situation and he had someone out here in no more than 15 min!! Mind you it was 1030 at night! Kenny came out to jump my car and was very kind and professional. He helped me so much and I can’t say enough good things about him and my experience. Obviously not a good situation but these guys really went the extra mile for me!
I called 10 different "24 hour" tow companies at 4:00 am and they all NEVER picked up their phones... probably were still sleeping. Fortunately I was able to call Sunstate Wrecker & Haul and Billy picked up the phone. He let me know that his driver would be out later. JD from B & D towing arrived and he was/is professional, friendly, personable, and competent! Just an outstanding individual. Highly Recommended!!!! Ask fo JD if possible!!!!!
My girlfriend and i were moving last friday night! On 8-9-19 the 26 ft u-haul got stuck behind house i calles and explained it was OFF ROAD they sent a roll back car hauler guy gets there says i need a recker ok.. He says he called and they send another truck for the next 3 hours when i called i was forwarded to voice mail ! Stepp's towing did a great job
My girlfriend had her car serviced by this company through her car insurance company for a jumpstart and a flat tire on two separate occasions.
The company representative, Wesley, made inappropriate comments to her. She is a married woman with her small child with her and he kept harassing her with statements like being her child's new dad.

Had a flat tire called geico to send out a tow company. They sent out b & d towing the guy was great. I felt bad it was raining the whole time He was loading my vehicle up on the flatbed. He had a good attitude very friendly would highly recommend this towing company.

I called at the last minute to have a trike picked up from a transport company in tampa. Dispatch was right on track with timing as I was coming from a different area. Will meet me picked the trike up and delivered it as dispatch promised!

I had a great experience with this company. Today Adam came out to help me with a flat tire, but long story short, who ever changed my tire previously stripped one of my lug nuts so Adam, could not get the tire off. He was patient and very easy going and was nice enough to wait and also help tow me to a tire shop so that I could get a new tire. Adam was great!! Thank you so much!
Scheduled a tow for 9pm and the driver arrived precisely at 9pm. Daniel was friendly, professional and fast. Excellent service and a fair rate. Exceptional experience that made at least one aspect of a vehicle failure good.
Tampa to New Port Richey. Great price, about 50 bucks cheaper than the other places I called. Brand new truck too. They were there five minutes before the time they said they would be, called me before he got there too! Highly highly recommend Gerry, says his name on the truck. Very friendly man and took good care of my car.
Waited 2 hours because the dispatcher forgot to send someone. Then the driver forgot to collect payment. Then when they called and woke me up and i asked for a discount because of their many errors(not an unreasonable request) he threatened me by saying i would either pay the full amount, or he would tow my vehicle from my home and i would have to deal with the police. Which would be theft on their part. He could have just politely said no instead of trying to bully me and they still would've got their money. I picked them cause of their "decent" 3 star ratings, but they deserve less. Ill never be calling back.
Billy with B&D brought me some gas today. He was very courteous, and I had forgotten to ask him to wait to make sure the car started, but he did it anyway. I needed a small jump to get going.

Beware! Charged me $275 for a 50 mile tow AND the driver broke my tie rod when loading my vehicle. So, i originally only had a bad starter & once towed home was merely going to pull car to local mechanic to be fixed, but couldn't because i had to pay someone to come to house & replace broken tie rod FIRST. Everyone told me they should pay for the new tie rod as well as the labor, but they are avoiding me & the topic like the plague.
Incredibly rude. Had my car towed during Gasparilla in normally a sanctioned spot. There was no sign. Was adamant about paying full $215 in only cash. I understand I must have done something wrong but no reason to be rude and impolite about the situation. One of the worst tow companies
Car broke down on a Friday afternoon. Called several other companies and either was told it would be hours or no one answered the phone. When I called B & D the called was answered immediately. I was informed and I had called the impound lot and was given the correct number. Called this number and the call was once again answered promptly. They told me it would be about 45 minutes. To my surprise my driver arrived in 10 minutes. Within 10 minutes my car was loaded and on the way to be repaired. Would definitely use again and refer them to any body in need. Thank You
This company has got to be the worst company I've ever had to deal with I won't let them tow my bicycle the punk ass heavy driver can't even tie his owe shoes if a wrecker driver tells you he does know what a glad hand is doesn't know what a quick connect is and it's not his JOB to cage brakes tell him thank you for your time and call a real towing company he drops my truck with the trailer still in the road leaves it up on blocks and says I have to go to a roll over boy you can't handle a truck that's up right what the hell you gonna do with a roll over oh and he's gonna call DOT to come inspect my truck maybe we should have DOT come look at some of your equipment and maybe take a hard look at the under qualified staff you have if ever you have the misfortune to break down in tampa call anybody BUT these guy's cause chances are you'll have to call somebody else anyway
I was in the middle of a long road trip back to Tampa from Nashville, TN, and when I had crossed into Florida near Lake City my engine overheated and was about to blow. Worried about being overcharged by other companies, and it being 3:30 am, I called B & D(they were one of the few tow services with a 24hr call line)praying for a solution. Thankfully they answered the call and within 10 minutes I had a driver contact me to tell me he'd be on the way to pick me up in a few hours later that morning. My driver was a little late, but more than made up for it with his speedy service and warm, friendly demeanor.
All in all, I highly recommend. Unbeatable price to tow me all the way from Lake City to Tampa.
