Human being answers the phone and talks to you! And she was able to send us a tow truck within the hour, with an extremely competent and personable man named Laz. He quickly got our Jeep up on a flatbed tow truck and cheerfully drove us to the service department at Ferman in Lutz. For a reasonable price. We will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends. Thanks so much!

Going at least 60mph. Talked with Stephen he was very nice but once again didn’t take phone number to follow up or anything else actually seem to treat it like this is a normal thing. I’ll just give him a call like someone else said idiot in a big truck doesn’t mix.
They were so nice and helpful when they had my car after an accident and even worked out a deal with me for the price of storing the car as long as they did!!

I have bought a shipping container and need it put in my backyard . Steven and his crew picked up and delivered my container , they even went the extra mile and turned the container around because the door was facing the wrong direction . They didnt charge me more , nothing but wanted to help me and make sure i was happy. If i need any service for towing i will 100% call them again and honestly so should you . They treated me like family , so Thank you for all your hard work .
What towing company comes to a complex to hang out with girls, has no towing services to do, and disturbing the peace at 11 pm! Lights on carrying on all loud, and then having 3 girls on the flatbed driving them around in the parking lot, lights on and peeping the horn! Neighbor approached them, took video and photos, called the number to complain and all I got was the dispatcher being rude off the back, contacted police and filed report.
Tow truck leaves finds out the cops are coming and all 3 girls get in 3 separate vehicles and leave as well.

Totally irresponsible and rude they claim to have dropped off my GLS450 at the dealership for repairs but cannot prove it in any way, when I called to try to locate my vehicle they say that the vehicle is there, I asked based on what they allege that is there and they said based on many things I asked for one of those things and they hung up on me!!!! DO Not use!!! Way Rude way irresponsible. They don't collect signatures at drop off they are the worst experience ever!!!
Had to go through Benfield recently for an accident. Car had to be towed and then stored for a while since my apartment doesn't allow cars that do not operate. Many positives. The tow truck was on site quickly. At the storage yard the man at the desk is very polite and nice, had no issues with me coming and going to retrieve stuff from the vehicle. Storage fees are good compared to a lot of places. $25 a day for a small vehicle still adds up quickly but it's better than some places charging $50-$100 for the same vehicle.
However, docking a point because the tow truck driver who picked me up was not very communicative and was also unsafe on the road. At one point he did not stop when turning at a red light and we nearly hit a car who had a green arrow. Tow truck drivers need to be especially safe.

The driver called me an hour before arriving to my location, unloaded the container where I asked, and was patient with me while I adjusted the foundation for the container sice this was all new to me. If the need arises
I would definitely use them again and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family. Very pleasant experience!

Bad experience with this company. The driver and the office after I called to complain, they didn't want to hear me, and hung up the phone without giving me a chance to explain. I've been in this property for so many years and the driver objected to bringing the tow SUV in. This company is expensive, rude and lazy drivers.
I drove my car to BJ’s tire center this morning (Nov 1, 2019) to fix my flat tire approximately 7:20 a.m. BJ's was closed, so I called Mercedes Roadside Assistance. A young man came out and tried to put the spare tire on. He advised me that the spare tire needed a valve. He advised me to call MB Roadside service again for assistance. I waited for BJ's to open up at 9 a.m. to assist me. However, they didn’t have tire in stock, nor did they have a valve stem for my spare tire. I called Mercedes Roadside service and they sent a driver from Benfield Towing Company to tow my car to Mercedes Benz of Wesley Chapel today. I had an unfixable flat tire. The tow truck driver got inside of my car and try to align car with the metal flat bed by driving it. The he got out and push a button to pull the car on to the truck bed. as I'm standing out side the car talking to my boss on the phone and heard a loud noise. As he proceeds to put the straps over the car tire, I said, “ did you just damaged my car?” He said no, it was already damaged. I said no it was not. As I was talking to him, he has his boss on FaceTime. The boss yelled at me and said, my car was already damaged. I advised it was not. I told them I have a witness who can prove it, plus I took before and after pictures. I called the police. Before the police arrived, he took my car back off the truck, gave me my keys and left me stranded. I asked are you not going to tow my car, and he said, "my boss told me not to." I was very disappointed. I was 5 hours late for work, after waiting for other Towing truck drivers to arrive. Action Towing Company driver Mike showed up. He took care of loading my car on the truck be the proper way. He took me to Mercedes and stayed until l I got a loaner car. Thank so much Mike and Action Towing Company!

So let me first say this company is on point my fuel pump went on my truck and I had my 7 mo pregnant wife in the vehicle stuck on the n bound lane of 275 on a Saturday night and was given a good quote and was told 1 he wait the driver who was a young latino showed up with in 20 min that alone deserves 8 stars he was polite and curtious. I had a flat tire on 1-4 with my mother and my 3 year old twin boys in the car. Emergency roadside assistance and Geico roadside was going to take, at minimum, an hour. Lazaro from Benfield's Wreckers stopped and changed my tire out of the goodness of his heart...just to help someone. There are not enough words to describe how helpful, kind, and genuine he was as well as his actions. What's even nicer to know is he called the boss to tell him that he was going to stop and help me and his boss, Steven, gave the go ahead. Even though I waited quite a while (which I think was the fault of my dealership, not the towing company), this was great service. Aseal (hope I got the name right) was the driver and he was competent, polite and just a really likable guy. I was at my breaking point waiting so long and telephoning my dealership, but he put me right out of my bad mood. He did a great job, was responsible and careful. He even handled a crabby public in another car very well.
Speeding through our neighborhood at twice the speed limit. I eventually caught up with them at a light off racetrack road where they were doing at least 60 in a 45mph. Very nice on the phone when I called to complain and they seemed interested in resolving the situation but did not take my number to follow up to let me know final details. They may be a fine company and this may be 1 bad driver but I thought anyone should be aware.
Lifesavers. My clutch went out on the I75 at 1am. Every tow company was closed or unavailable. I called Dori and she said it might be 3 hours. I said Cool I'll sleep in the car til you get here. Within 20 minutes John stopped by and carefully put my car on the rollback. Had a great conversation with him on the way home and considering the time of day and mileage to my home the price was reasonable. I am so beyond angry with this company. I was in a car accident on November 3rd and towed my car here. I signed a paper allowing my insurance company to pick up my car. On November 17th I got a call saying my car was a total loss. Knowing that my car was not after days of investigation we found out that my car was never towed. BENFIELD RELEASED SOMEONE ELSE’S CAR to my insurance company. Now nearly 3 weeks after the accident my car is still at Benfield’s and has acquired a hefty storage fee. Thanks.
Been using Benfield's Wrecker for over thirty five years and allows been happy with their service and prices but this time they went above and beyond ! We were out of town when hurricane Irma hit Tampa and I called Steve after the storm and asked if he could check our building. Great customer service, quick turnaround time, and fair prices. Breakdowns are never pleasant but this was an all around positive experience during a stressful time. (Alex) Garcia, the heavy duty driver, was extremely informative and definitely went the extra mile for the customer. I would recommend this company to anyone in need.
I had a great experience with Benfield's. I was in an accident and BMW roadside assistance quoted me over an hour with another towing company. The police called Benfield's and they arrived in less than 10 minutes. My car was towed away and once I received the insurance estimate a few days later, I stopped up to get a few things out of my car and talked to Stephen, who was extremely helpful as I was trying to select a body shop. I called the following morning to have it towed up to my chosen body shop and Stephen said he'd have it up there within an hour. Overall, a very positive experience.
One of our drivers was in an accident today 06/27/2016 and we wanted to have the car towed to our repair facility. I had two of my office personnel at the accident scene to make sure that things were taken care of since my driver was being taken to the hospital. My office people spoke with the tow truck driver and were assured that the vehicle would be taken to the Cadillac dealership that we had specified. After our staff left the accident scene the driver took the car to their yard not to where we had discussed. Luckily we have GPS monitoring in the vehicles and I was able to see that this had occurred. After seeing that the car was not where we had discussed I looked up the address and was able to obtain a phone number for this business. I spoke to Steve and he tried to tell me that they took it to their office because when they called the Cadillac Dealership and asked if they were going to pay to have it towed there they said NO. I said I had people at the accident scene who would have paid right then and there but never did the driver say anything about it not even after we tried to give him a credit card to pay. My personal feeling is that they are trying to get people for extra fees for storing their vehicles. we of course sent someone to their facility immediately to pay for the car and had our own tow company pick the car up. I would recommend avoiding this company and finding someone with a little more integrity. They charged us $205.00 to move the car 8 miles to their lot. 8 miles in the wrong direction I might add. I will contacting the county on this matter also. HCPTC governs the tow truck companies in Hillsborough County and I will be more then glad to share my experience with them.
