Never thought I’d be writing a review for a towing company, but here I am!
Tillman and Jesus went way above and beyond. Their communication before arriving was excellent, which immediately lowered my stress level. Once they got to me, they didn’t just tow my car - they actually helped me. They took the time to get me to a new tire place, saving me a ton of money, and somehow managed to make me laugh for most of the ride when I was having one of those days.
They were kind, professional, patient, and genuinely good humans. No rushing, no attitude, no upselling nonsense, just two guys who clearly care about doing right by people.
If you ever find yourself stuck and unlucky enough to need a tow, consider yourself lucky if Tillman and Jesus show up. Absolute lifesavers. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
it looks like a lot of the one star reviews are from people who had their cars impounded. I’d be pretty upset if I parked somewhere I shouldn’t or didn’t pay something I should’ve and ended up having to fork over a whole lot of money to get my car back, but that’s on the driver, not on the tow company.

I got them through my insurance. Was given a 90 minute time window at 9:14. I was asked to leave the keys with the vehicle, but it was broken down in a not great part of the neighborhood which I had made clear. The 90 minute window WELL passed so I called, they told geico they got a police call and those come first so rest assured that my tow would be done in another 30-45 minutes. I woke up this morning to find out they never towed my vehicle, never called me to cancel or communicate and cancelled with GIECO a whole hour after telling me another 30 mins at 12:15 am. If you get them through your insurance please tell them to use another towing service. THESE PEOPLE SUCK. Hopefully if enough people do they’ll go out of business. 24 hours operating hours is not correct.
Chris provided truly outstanding service! He arrived before the scheduled time, picked up my car without any hassle, and took it straight to my auto mechanic shop exactly as requested. I will have to file a report I took my brother to retrieve his Vehicle from a accident literally 5 minutes after the accident and he was informed they was closed and to come Monday and it would be a extra 135 or 140 for storage keep in mind when on rotation with FHP you have to be open and respond within the hour to retrieve a vehicle if the owner is trying to recover a vehicle. Truthfully it should of not been towed but the call was dispatched to FHP after HcSO already had a call in and we had our on Tow Company in route but that isn’t on Advantage that is on HCSO for not notifying FHP a wrecker was In Route !
If I could give 0 stars I would - my car was involuntarily impounded against my will thou I had a someone coming to get it - cops told it would be a “safe impound” meaning I wouldn’t have to pay to get my car back bc it was due to a bakeract my boyfriend died 3 months ago- I have been displaced out of my home by my father 4 times in less than 3 months I have little to no money - and this tow company is trying to take $600+ dollars from me to get my car back the cops insist I’ll be requesting the footage of their body cams and pressing charges against whoever broke my console as the cops insist it wasn’t them. The lady on the phone was EXTREMELY rude didn’t care about anything I had to say and they charge you $70 extra if you can’t get your car before 430PM. This is an awful company and it’s no wonder they work with the terrible excuse of a sheriffs department we have in this county.

I had a terrifying experience stranded on the side of the highway, and the first towing company I called left me waiting for over an hour and then disappeared. Talk about a nightmare. Thank goodness Aaron from Advantage Transport Towing answered my call and completely turned the situation around.
Aaron arrived within 30 minutes of my call, which was a huge relief. He was professional, courteous, and incredibly reassuring the moment he pulled up. He assessed the situation quickly, explained all my options clearly. His calm demeanor helped me feel safe and taken care of in a scary moment.

Great communication with the company overall, and got to work with one of their greatest technicians Anthony! Very patient, knowledgeable and kind with all the questions that I had. He was able to jump start my car without the need of a tow after all. Very happy I got to work with him and with the whole experience. Thank you!

Anthony came out after we were in an auto accident. He was helpful and kind. He went out of his way to bring me and my son home instead of making us walk or wait for an Uber. He could have easily just taken the wrecked cars and brought them straight to the tow yard but he cared enough to make sure we were safe too.
Should be no stars!!! I had one of the worst experiences ever with this towing company. It ended up costing me almost $600 to get my car back after they had it for just 2.5 days. When I first called, they told me the price was $440. I went to pick it up on a Sunday and they said it would be about an hour for someone to meet me at the yard. I waited over 2 hours — nobody showed up. I called multiple times for an update and the guy sounded like he was high on drugs. I left because nobody was able to provide an update which caused another added day of charges, even though it was completely their fault.
I called the next day at 4:30 PM, and they so claimed they close at 4:30 which meant I now had to pay an after-hours fee which they said was $75. It felt like they were finding every excuse to run up the bill. When I finally got there, I had to call again to get someone to show up — and waited another 2 hours, because they refuse to send anyone out until you physically arrive, which makes no sense. They have no respect for people time. I literally got off work early to get there before they closed and now all of a sudden they close at 4:30.
Every person I spoke with was rude, unprofessional, and kept giving me different amounts. I kept asking why was it so expensive and nobody could tell me. This place is a scam operation. They make up prices, which is illegal, delay pickup, and charge extra for their own lack of responsiveness.
I’ve had oversize vehicles like box trucks towed before and never paid this much. This was a standard car tow and it was outrageous. Do NOT use this towing company. If you're a business, DO NOT contract with them!!!! You will just damage your reputation. They will waste your time, overcharge you, and treat you horribly. This tow company needs to be investigated!! The amount went from 440 to 540 to 583 to 585??!!!! How when it’s only $35 a day after the initial fees. My car was only there 2.5 days!!! Make it make sense!!!! Don’t walk — RUNNNNN A TOTAL SCAM!!!!!
I avoid making bad reviews because I want to believe the best in every person and their business, and I hate to throw shame, but I have to expose of an absolutely disgusting experience with Advantage Transport and Towing.
I got into a really bad car accident, my first ever, and instead of showing any kind of professionalism or even empathy, Advantage Transport and Towing saw it as a quick and easy opportunity to make money. The man who showed up was incredibly insensitive and aggressive. While I was still shaken up from the crash, he insisted that I give him my car keys twice, claiming he was towing it, even though I NEVER agreed to their service. This happened on June 07, 2025 on I-275 highway going towards Orlando/Ocala exit 44.
I told him I had Triple A coverage and didn’t need or want a tow, but he kept pushing and pressuring me as if I had no choice. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of my vulnerable state, hoping I didn’t know my rights. The whole interaction felt predatory and dishonest.
This company clearly preys on people at their lowest moments. It’s beyond unprofessional and immoral. I would never recommend them to anyone. If you’re ever in an accident, do NOT let these people near your vehicle. I honestly believe this business is run by people who are only interested in profiting off others’ misfortunes. Stay far, far away from Advantage Transport and Towing.
Would give zero stars if I could got my vehicle towed by Kenny to a repair shop, upon getting there he got my vehicle off the bed of the truck and reversed straight into a fence causing damages. Went inside to grab paperwork and pen to get information and when I came back out he was gone. Called multiple times for their insurance and was refused each time and told to wait till Monday. The repair shop gave me video of the incident and multiple eye witness accounts on how unprofessional everything was done. Update* They also lie to insurance companies about incidents that happened.
They are liar, they make up fake fees to keep your car longer, they all are very RUDE. I’m going to file several complaints with the DOT and any other place I can. It’s says 24hrs that’s very misleading. Business hours should be posted LEGALLY.
Had a very great experience with this company today; especially with the transport technician (Anthony). Showed up 45 minutes before the scheduled time; he was very professional, showed a level of energy and kindness I had not seen with a transport tech before and he was very informative. Had my car towed without my consent in the a.m. hours. Car is in my name- title, registration etc. My family member called our childhood friend who works for this company and had him tow my car without my knowledge. I called and spoke to Mark who said they do not "repossess" cars. Employee signed a document stating he made $200 for the repossession. This was a family matter, however, towing employee should have verified or not gotten involved. No action from the company for me other than they were going to speak to the employee. They do favors for family members to help out however verification was not presented or ok'd by me the car owner to take the vehicle from my residence.
If I could take away stars I would this company is horrible. My daughter and I were stranded in hurricane Milton in flood water. We had to leave car and get to safety the car was done. After hurricane calm down went to get vehicle but it was already towed. Call to go pick up my car and they told me no one was in town this went on for 2 days. 3rd day I finally asked well if no is in town how did my car get in your town yard. The lady said we had 2 driver working during the hurricane but now there home out of fuel I said ma'am I will go pick them up and bring them I need my vehicle my son has chemo therapy and that is my only means of transportation. Needless to say they did not give two poops. I was charged over night storage for the nights they supposedly were not in town when I was there an hour after my car was towed because no one was in town which is (BS). SO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOW COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY THEY ARE HORRID RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL. OH YEAH AND WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE FINALLY THE MAN WHO MET US AT THE YARD WENT AS FAR AS TO PUTTING HIS TRUCK IN THE GATEWAY WHERE WE COULDN'T GET OUT AND PRETTY MUCH THREATENED US THAT IF WE DIDN'T PAY WE WEREN'T LEAVING.
My HOA decided to get my commercial vehicle towed out of my driveway. I caught the driver after he did it and he said he would drop it for $120 but only cash which I didn’t have on me at the time. When I went to the place it costed me $209 even though they didn’t even have it off the dolly yet.
The driver left tire marks in the driveway and they screwed up my tire. I called and spoke to Mark and asked for his insurance information and he refused.
I just want to share what a first class company Advantage Towing Tampa is. I have used them many times and today coming back from Sumter county to Tampa was exceptional. My back tire exploded with such force it knocked part of the back fender and quarter panel off. I was shook up because I literally could have been killed.Jeremy was so kind and polite The service was quick and he was there within 15 minutes. I cannot express what a kind and knowledgeable individual he was. He was even able to pop the back fender/wheel cover area back on into the notches. I know a dealer would have charged me a fortune to do that.He towed it to the dealer for me and also gave me a ride home that was approved by his office. I cannot express how extremely empathetic, calm, kind and professional Jeremy is. Unfortunately my car breaks down a lot and I have been in a lot of tow trucks. Advantage is absolutely first class. No contest they are the best. The owner Mark is also very involved and proud of his business. Thank you to everybody at Advantage for an event where I could have been killed, calming me down and even fixing the back fender by popping it back in. First class all the way, especially Jeremy. What a pure angel in such a trying time. My life pretty well sucks to high heaven right now, not even counting this. His kindness helped. He told me everybody is always going through something and the best thing to do is be kind to each other. Wise words and he backed them up. Thank you Jeremy and Advantage
I had an awesome young man come to my work and load my car up on the truck. I had gone through my insurance for roadside assistance. And this young man was totally awesome! I wish I got hia name. He even stopped at WAWA for me since I know I will be without a car for a few days. Please give this young man props! He deserves it. This happened on 6/20-21/24. At about midnight. I just wanted to say the young man and the company are excellent!
Thank you very much to Jeremy. His tow truck capabilities, knowledge, friendliness and the over all experience helped my bad situation seem less bad. My Jetta broke down and I called my insurance. They said 90 minutes. Within 30 minutes Jeremy showed up. Tried a jump first just in case and that didn’t work. Got the car towed, dropped off and everything was done right. Ended up being fuel pump and it was under a replacement warranty for 10 more days. Replaced under warranty!! Thanks brother good luck!!
My wife and I were having issues with getting the truck to start, Jeremy showed up on Memorial Day weekend to give us a jump start. On the way to us, he called twice to keep me updated on his progress. He was kind, courteous, and I am grateful for him. Keep up the good work Jeremy, it was a pleasure meeting you.
Jeremy was incredible - my car would not start and was in a difficult place to maneuver onto the tow truck. In the 90 degree FL heat, Jeremy tried 3 different options until we finally found a way to get it on the truck. He was incredibly kind and patient with the job and communicated exactly what he was doing at each step of the way - always making sure I was comfortable with what he was doing and that my car would be in good shape. Highly recommend Jeremy and am very appreciative of his service!
Anthony in Truck #291 was a great driver and took awesome care of my car that needed to be towed after an accident! He was on time, nice, and had a great sense of humor! I’d definitely recommend these guys!
I wanted to share my experience I had today with Advantage Transport & Towing Services. Today I got to meet Anthony, His truck #291 arrived earlier than the expected arrival time. My car was pretty much dead, would not start, doors and locks would not work. He gave me a battery jump to get the car enough juice to open the door and helped me get in the car. I told him I was leaving to a funeral out of town and Anthony was kind to listen and talk with me during while working on getting my car oh the tow truck. He verified the towing location and gave me a run down of what to expect. I really appreciated his work ethics and just being a kind human being. You don’t find people that will just listen anymore. The service deserves a five star rating, and would recommend this towing service again. Thank you Anthony for your help today.
Used my Geico tow service and so glad they sent these guys. They came earlier than they even open to help me out. Josh was my driver and he was amazing! Will only use Advantage from now on.
I wish to never have to be towed by this company, only because I was told an hour and waited for about 4.5 hours. I am not rating the company 4 stars, but I'm rating the driver Josh. He was pleasant and had experience in towing my car (my car is lowered). He was very polite and friendly, made sure my car was on the truck safe and secured. So, in the future if I do need a tow and this is the company I get, I just hope to get Josh again.
