I usually never rate a place low but I have been trying to get siding for a month have made several trips there was told would be on truck never was I was also told it would be special ordeled had to Get with the owner to do so have called back again they had to get with owner never got call back will be taking my business else where.

Place used to be decent until this year ,I've found the attitudes are not really friendly, takes awhile to get window screens took 3+ weeks to get mine , also as of late they never have anything you need in stock or is always out or "I just sold the last one today" , I'll definitely be putting them on the back burner for now. Not sure if it's new management or what but definitely gone down hill, I do hope they get it together though because I want to continue liking this store but more cons than there are pros at this point hence the 3 star review.

Really helpful guy jumped up as we entered to ask if he could help us find anything. Once he took us to that area, he let us browse on our own. We appreciated the customer service!

Their pricing is way out of line with other mobile home part stores. Although the staff is always friendly and happy to help.

PLEASE READ IN WHOLE To owner/management of B&P At first my experience wasn't bad David was very helpful..... He helped place an order for delivery... I paid for my order and paid the delivery fee. After about 3 almost 4 weeks later I am informed that my order will be delivered....well when they showed up to drop off my I was informed that they did not have my full order but would be back in a day or two to complete the delivery. I didn't hear from anyone for almost 4 weeks so I gave David a call and I was informed they were waiting till they had another delivery my direction (keep in mind I paid a $400+ fee to have this all delivered). Well it just so happened that I needed to place another order. So I put my order in go to pay and low and behold I have another $400+ delivery fee. So now I have paid twice for the delivery of my first order and it's would take nearly 2 whole months to receive the material that was supposed to be on the first delivery. I called to speak with someone about this. The person I spoke with was not going to even try to make things right. And to answer the question that this person asked me ...YES I do feel that my second order should have been free delivery considering both my customer and I both were either givin the run around or just completely left the dark and it's now been costing me money because I couldn't fulfill the contract with my customer because it took almost 2 months from when they made the delivery for them to bring me the material that they forgot. This has left a bad taste in my mouth. And will no longer be using this company for my company's orders

Stopped in at this location needing a few materials for my carport, I was in the area with a trailer so figured I'd get my supplies that i needed but they didn't have a particular piece so I paid for it and guy helping me told me they would call me and it will be there the next day, Next day came around no one called me about the my order, so I I called said it's not there tomorrow it'll be there so I waited, again no call so I called them again and the that answered went to check on order put me on hold then after about 10 mins someone hung up the phone. Called again and a different guy answers and now he supposedly goes check and said no order was there for me and wasn't sure when it was coming. So I go up there and ask for my money back and they acting like some how I made a mistake I literally paid them and they treat me like I'm in the wrong for asking for my money back when they couldn't even give me a date of my order to come in. Absolutely unprofessional and I'm an investor i flip homes for a living and will definitely be steering all my business, friends, family, customers away from this establishment.

Great deals always! Can call ahead and inquire about an item or two if available which usually are. Have gotten so many doors and windows for business and home. Highly recommend! 5 Stars

Went to look for a shower ? tub and the shower wall for a mobile home project. Not really helpful in talking to us the two guys in the back part of the store/shop. They were there to assist but not really wanting to talk and explain what tubs and showers they had in stock and not willing to "show" us what we are looking for. I did meet a family member there by marriage however who was looking for the same for his same project and also the one guy (smaller) guy same thing did not really talk and if so very low. Not even a 1star.

The people are really nice but the prices are way above retail and when you ask why their response is the quality is way better even if the item number matches the chain store not worth the visit unless your looking for hard to find items you can go there as a last resort

Absolutely not Broke and Poor! , Should be ( Richly Blessed and in NEED of Nothing. Simple mobile Home doors are TWICE THE PRICE OF Home DEPOT AND LOWE'S. I BOUGHT 3 FOR JUST OVER THE PRICE OF ONE OF THEIRS..

We went to the broke and poor surplus business to find some stuff we needed.and a young fellow come out to help us but then got bored with us I guess because he walked off and never come back while I was still looking for stuff. I didn't bother buying anything. I went up front to find out if they had what I needed.and some other stuff. the other guy was very friendly and told us some other places to go to find what we're looking for, why the dark hair thin guy was very rude to us didn't say a word. like we weren't there, I've been there before many times and I'll we'll still go there but I will not be dealing with dark haired guy. That is why a four-star a five star. I would have gave it a two maybe a three star but the guy the bigger guy behind the counter was very nice.

I don't know what happened to the staff at this Broke & Poor location.....I lived in Lakeland, Florida from 2011 to 2013 and I shopped here all the time .....they were very helpful and knowledgeable.......but fast forward to 2021 and I needed some supplies for my new home I bought and I went there......well needless to say I will NEVER shop here again. The person they have at the register barely knows how to operate the front of a store and the workers that I dealt with were not nice at all. I was looking for a certain type of screw and from the distance of at least 5ft. he could tell me he doesn't have them and has never had them. I am not sure if it is the fact that I am a woman ? or they are just RUDE. I remember the staff being alot friendlier when I shopped here 7 years ago. So sorry Broke &Poor ....you lost my business ! So if your are a woman looking for supplies for your home .....SHOP ELSEWERE. There is another mobile home supply place in Lakeland...I have been there both years ago and recently and they are alot nicer. I only went to Broke & Poor because it is closer to where I live. But I guess the extra miles I need to drive are worth it for Good customer service.

Great place. They have friendly and knowledgeable people. They have everything you might need for your manufactured home.

No Doors, We stopped there to get prices for exterior doors. They said they did not have any and would need to order. They do not carry them any more. when they showed me the prices of a few I liked, their prices were 300 bucks more then Home depot and no delivery.

We had a great experience with Blake throughout our kitchen remodel. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His expertise and attention to detail helped make everything go smoothly and efficiently. Blake made sure we were taken care of through every step of the process and followed up to make sure we were happy with how everything turned out. We truly can't say enough about how amazing working with Blake and his team was and we will definitely be using them again soon for other projects. THANK YOU!!!

If they got it or can get it, it will be less than the big box stores. I just want a picture window to replace one window. The Best deal the Big box stores could do was $890 and Broke and poor was able to order it for $199, with double pan, Argon gas filled also. WOW what a difference in price. Chris that works at Broke and Poor is a real help there.

A great resource for rehabbers and homeowners. They have new and used building materials including cabinetry windows doors hardware, bathroom surrounds, etc... Chris was extremely helpful and courteous with my wife who was shopping for some rehabbing supplies for me. They don't talk down to a novice in the business and offer a lot of helpful advise. Every flipper and rehabber and homeowner should check them before the big box stores because they are vastly cheaper on several items on my rehabbing list and have mobile home parts you can't find there.

I have to admit, I was a little concerned when I arrived at this store looking for cabinets for my home renovation as it is not a typical home improvement store. We had a suggestion from a friend that the prices and quality were good. Blake helped us every step of the way with design options. He truely did an amazing job and made our home look amazing. We are so happy that we checked this place out and found Blake! We ended up saving thousands, while getting better quality and better design than other larger stores in the area.

It doesn't look like much but they have a lot of stuff in there. I remodeled my RV mostly with things purchased there. Windows, doors, wood panels, sinks, toilet bowls, they have it all and at a great price too. If they don't have exactly what you are looking for, they may be able to order it for you or direct you to the best place to purchase it locally.

Have had the very best experience with Blake at Broke & Poor. He certainly knows the business and can answer any question you have. The place isn't fancy, but quality product is more important to me.

Huge inventory, helpful staff, lots of mobile home supplies.

2 months ago bought a valve stem for a shower went to buy another 1 today now gotta pay 70.00 for the whole thing because supposably they dont sell just the stems. Ive give them my last penny! This place is useless and lie to improve sales

I purchased some steps with the understanding that they would be delivered. It was relayed to me that delivery is a side business of the sales person that helped me and not a part of the transaction with the store. They were to be delivered the day of purchase. Here it is 9:30pm the next day. No phone call no steps. Had I known they would not be delivered I’d have gone elsewhere. Buyer be where.

I showed up here on the Saturday before Irma was to arrive (she blew through Sunday evening). The guys here took the time to sell me the last of their plywood, even though they were closed, instead of heading home to their families. What's more, when they found out that I had to wait for my neighbor with a trailer (I suggested they just stack it beside my car and go home) they suck around until my trailer came, because they didn't want to leave me on the side of the road with my young son and a pile of plywood (more valuable than a pile of gold at that point). Beyond being good guys, they have all kinds of building supplies, and seems like great pricing. I'll be heading back there when I need to re-do my kitchen!

I think these guys are great. As a handyman, i have often called on them for all kinds of various construction items. Ive purchased things like corrugated roofing panels, bathroom remodels, and ive also brought ecclictic clients that want to search for something different. Ive always had great customer service over the phone. Sometimes brainstorming projects and scopes to see what kind of bargains i could find here and discounts i can offer to my customers. If your a diy'er like me its a really cool place to check out. You may not always come away with what you are looking for but they are worth a quick stop to check out.

This is an interesting place. It has many household construction items much cheaper than the box stores. Some used, some new. I ordered a custom 48" swinging screen door for $159.37. It should arrive in about 2 weeks. I will update this post after the door arrives. Update: The door arrived in the time they said. Pros- The quality of the door is good. Cons - The door came unscreened. The screen spline they supplied was useless. Had to go to Crowder Bros for better spline.
