After reading the recent reviews I was worried when 1st Response was booked by my insurance company when we needed a tow. We had a tire shred on the hottest day of the year (so far!). We were told they would arrive in 60-90 minutes. We called them directly to see if they could give a closer estimate as we’d need to get an Uber, didn’t want to leave the vehicle unsupervised, yet didn’t want to be left baking the in the heat. David told us he couldn’t be more precise on the time but that he could have the tow truck driver call us once he was headed our way. Perfect! The driver did call about 40 minutes later and said he would be there in 20 minutes. Great timing to set up the Uber. He came on time, was professional and as he loaded the car our Uber pulled up. Highly recommend 1st Response.
Requested a tow and waited over a hour and a half to be told by roadside assistance that my truck couldn’t be towed because of custom wheels. The same truck has been towed many times by other companies with no problem at all. They were trying to get more money from roadside assistance and they weren’t able to. I don’t recommend this company.
Most unprofessional business I have ever experienced. The business phone is the receptionist’s personal cell and she is extremely rude. She cussed me out after implying asking questions in regards to them damaging my vehicle. I have reported there poor service to the better business bureau and my insurance company. Please do not use this business as they do not respect their customers. I pray no one else has to deal with these con artists
TLDR: Didn't show after 3 hours of waiting.
Submitted tow request through USAA at 0600, original ETA was 0715-0745. An hour later i get an updated ETA of 0740. 0800 rolls around so i give there number a call and was told due to different time zones the ETA was incorrect(her math didn't math for the times she was giving me). New ETA of 0820. Called them back at 0830 and she now says something about an accident has pushed them back further and she couldn't give me an accurate ETA. So I wasted 3 hours waiting for them before I was able to get reassigned to a different company who came out right away.
They never showed up. Waited 2 hours. Then they just stopped answering the phone. My son & I were just left on the side of the road with no communication.
So unprofessional, waited 3 hours they don't answer the phone from the customer or insurance provider. So rude of you just not to cancel it it's through my insurance I didn't pick you I don't care who come you won't have a business for long if these as an example of your customer service
After waiting over 2 hours for another tow company who did not show up and would not answer the phone, the insurance company then transferred the order to this company who showed up in 30 minutes and had great communication!
My truck broke a lower ball joint. my insurance company sent Dr. Phil.
He was very professional, talked knew what he was doing. Great guy.
took my truck to my house put it where I asked him to. Truck arrived no damage during transport. He helped my put a jack stand under it before he took it off his rig. so it was ready to be fixed.
Very personal. very nice, fast to get to me, helped putting a jackstand under it as my hand is broken.
would recommend them.

They were contacted through Coach Net to our motor home located Gulf shores. Came on New Year’s Eve within an hour. Dr. Phil was awesome! You could tell he knew what he was doing as soon as he rolled up. Instantly took out his creeper and was up under the coach resolving our air issues for the braking system. Within 30 minutes he had us up and operational again. Just one look at the Dr’s hands and you know he had been around and worked on plenty of Diesel rigs before. Bless you Dr. Phil and 1st Response for the fast services and expert personnel! Would highly recommend this company for emergency services to get you up and going again!!!! And yes Phil its still working fine!
I work for these people, if you've ever heard the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" these are the people you want in your village. Good sweet down home loving parents, neighbors, friends. You're everything that goodness is and more. I'm not just saying this cuz I work for these people, if you read my reviews you will know I speak the truth. They are great to do business with and they are not out to screw anybody. If there were more than five stars I would give it to these people, if there was anybody on this Earth but I would like to be like it would be these people. Need I say more?
When I saw how sketchy it was in person I told my insurance adjustor they were about to auction off my car for parts. The lady was beyond hostile and demeaning, no professional composure whatsoever
Charged $660 to tow a 200cc motorcycle that was stolen then recovered by police. Escambia protects consumers against price gouging by setting price at $184. 1st Response Roadside created $476 of additional fees. The county does not enforce these rules, but I still blame the tow company for extorting customers.

I mean, the tow itself was fine. The truck driver was friendly and loaded and unloaded the car just fine. My insurance quoted me a time frame of 90-105 minutes. I called the company directly after two hours of waiting and they quoted me an additional 30 minutes. The tow truck took over 4 hours to get to me. When I asked about the time frame with the driver, he said that was the maximum they were allowed to quote. So I just wanted to say they'll tow your car, but expect a bit of a wait if your insurance quotes a reasonable time frame.
After having waited more than two hours after my AAA tow was supposed to be there, I called for the second time and this time they dispatched first response. They were there within 30 minutes! Nathan was nice, professional, and seem to know what he was doing. Unfortunately we couldn't go that night, however, we told the next morning using the same AAA call as that day. The next time I call AAA I will request first response and nobody else. Will use again even if it isn't on my AAA card
No matter what others have said about this company I used their their services and my insurance company was dragging their behind on my claim. They went above and beyond and out of their way to make sure that I got unstuck and spent half the day doing This. I will and would recommend this company to anyone who is in need of their services. Thank you guys for all the help yall provided for me. I called a friend of mine who tried to help me out and they got stuck in the mud and they pulled him out without charging him for the tow. Great service provided
Nathan was very quick to respond and get to my vehicle. He even made sure to make the drop off of my vehicle to the mechanic seamless. Great service! 10/10 would recommend!

Nathan was the best helpful person that you could ever ask for. This is the second time that he showed up to help my mother and i. Beware! This company practices deception. The owner will tell you it's DOT regulations, but don't be fouled. This company was contracted thru OnStar following a breakdown of my GMC truck. It wasn't until the driver hooked up my truck and traveling did he call roadside service demanding more money for this tow. Stated this was a medium duty tow and not the light duty tow they were contracted for. Threatened the roadside service my truck would be taken to their yard and storage fee's would be applied if the medium duty tow wasn't approved. The driver then informed me I would be responsible for an enroute fee. We arrived the dealership were the driver held the truck hostage for payment. Curb weight of my truck is 7642 and according to the 5 other towing companies I contacted following this, they all considered my truck light duty. If this company is the reputable company they claim to be why would they hook on to my truck and then demand more money? Why wouldn't they first contact the roadside service and question the light/medium duty tow? Why wouldn't they inform me of the fee I would be responsible for? Because you cant say no! They have possession of your vehicle and the only way you get it back is payment. I've filed a complaint with BBB, OnStar and the roadside service. If I were you I would find another way, rather than relaying on this company. If you are using a roadside service you can deny their service and request another company. Either way you go make dam sure you are informed before anyone hooks onto your vehicle. Oh, 1st response did refunded me the enroute fee only after I challenged why I was charged said fee. Said their mistake seeing that the medium duty tow was approved and that was included. My guess they thought I would take my refund, buy a coloring book and shut up. Safe travel to you all.

Today Saturday we had to use Response Roadside again for our RV tire. Adam and Nathan came to our rescue and got our tire fixed.They were very polite, professional and helpful. We don't know what we would of done without them. There the absolute Best!
I wouldn’t recommend this company to a SOUL. i had my car towed from the interstate thru my insurance company ALLSTATE. Before i even got to my address the driver told me and my boyfriend it would be $50 for the “run around” because apparently he wasn’t given the right address (which I’m still trying to figure out what does that have to do with the price of tea in China) mind you i have FULL coverage and have had my car towed MULITPLE TIMES at NO CHARGE! so by the time we got to my address he had bumped the price up to $80 stating that $50 again was for the “run around” & the extra $30 came from GOD KNOWS WHERE. So i refused to pay it and immediately called my insurance company because there was no way i was paying that when i have full coverage, after about 10 minutes they guy came knocking at my door and said it would be $1 a minute he had to wait & that he wasn’t dropping my car until he got the $80 so i paid him only to find out after he pulled off that him & his “boss man” (i guess that’s what he calls his supervisor) LIED and STOLE $80 from me i was advised by Allstate that they would no longer use them as a client and i was refunded my money. Long story short DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM they are liars & cheats!
I called my roadside assistance company and they sent 1st Response Roadside out to tow my vehicle 2.5 miles. Good Sam's paid them in full, but after the had my vehicle hooked up they informed me that there was a $10.50 trip charge. When I paid with a credit card they charged me sales tax because I used a credit card. I complained to Good Sam's, and they spoke with 1st Response and Good Sam's was told that 1st Response would not refund the money. Good Sam's has assured me that they will never use this company again and I would suggest that people be wary of this company
If I could give them 0 stars I would. They had a hard time locating me, even after giving them my exact address. When they finally arrived, the driver gets out yelling at me saying how he is super aggravated that it took so long to find me. He stated, "you know what, I don't even have to help you" and got back in his car and left me stranded. SO RUDE!!
Not just your average towing company! The driver I was assigned was well spoken and easy to communicate with. He took time to explain to me his actions as he secured my car. He even helped me push my car where it needed to be.

I called at 7am and was told a truck would be by me at 8. Called them back and they had to assign me to a new driver because the original never called to let them know there would be a delay. The lady I talked to for a 3rd time said the new driver would be by my 15 min later and still no showed. Then the driver called me to tell me it would be ANOTHER 30 min. Seriously? People do have things to do during their day instead of waiting 2 HOURS for a tow truck.
