THIS COMPANY IS ROBBING AND SCAMMING PEOPLE! MY CAR STILL HAD MORE THAN 30 MINUTES LEFT ON THE PARKING TIMER, AND WHEN I RETURNED TO THE SPOT, THEY HAD ALREADY TOWED IT AWAY! I HAD TO PAY FOR AN UBER TO GET TO WHERE THEY TOOK MY CAR. THEY REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME FOR MY UBER EVEN AFTER I SHOWED THEM PROOF THAT THERE WAS NO VIOLATION. THEY NEVER PAID ME BACK AND TRIED TO SCAM ME AGAIN AFTER THAT. TOTAL FRAUD AND DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICE — STAY AWAY FROM THIS TOWING COMPANY!

So me and my friends paid for our parking spots for 2 hours and then after we were parked for only an hour I came back and my friends car was towed and my car had 2 boots when we had an hour left the towing guys showed up and we showed them proof that we paid for our parking spots and they told us with that their system is glitching and that they need to refresh their system and the guy on the passenger seat got Down sooo fast and took off the boots quick and he looked super scared and the driver’s breath smelled like alcohol they had us drive 10 minutes to get my friends car back unprofessional towing company thank goodness I didn’t have to pay for anything and I got my car back I’ll be posting the parking ticket for proof because these guys are scammers and they think they’re slick thank you for a crazy night and scratching my rim

Total scam of a business. They tow your car when you’re parked legally, paid. Then you have to go to the wrecking yard to retrieve your vehicle. On arrival, this man told us, “Well, our app messes up sometimes, and the problem is your whole plate ain’t showing,” and wouldn’t release the vehicle without paying $200 for something that is HIS FAULT. This is a terrible company. I hope you get shut down. Not a single person has anything good to say. You’ve been reported to the BBB & state…

Scammers. No proper signage and barely visible. Also very rude and agressive. They are checking the cameras in front of the stores and if you leave the store and don’t take your car, they will either put a boot or tow it within a minute. This operation is a total scam and the city of Hollywood should be ashamed of it

Garbage, no notice or flexibility. We are out of towners. We were barely 10 mins behind our limit. Good job to the troll company

I parked at a lot next to CH hotel. I was there for 8 minutes checking in and off she went. The guy on the phone was extremely nice. His customer service was top notch. When I picked up the car the tow truck driver apologized and we shook hands. I’d just landed on a flight from my small Illinois town where if there’s a place to park, you can park. Lesson learned. Everyone has a right to make an honest living. The guys were nice as can be. I do hope to never be a customer again. I want to add something. Whoever owns and operates this company is absolutely brilliant. I’ve watched and learned. You guys should have a readily available Uber driver back to your headquarters. You’re leaving money on the table. When I get back to Illinois I’m buying a pay parking lot and a tow truck. You guys are awesome and I mean that with all sincerity.

I mistyped my license plate and the parking lot had my car towed, upset but it was my fault, A1A was just doing their job. However, they did charge me the “research fee” twice which was an extra $5 I shouldn’t have paid. Added insult to injury just for an extra few bucks

This towing company is totally SCAM!!! I was towed while my car was parked in the Hollywood Beach. I was totally unaware that the lot was private and they are using a different parking app until I learned that my car was parked. There was an attendant that will help you find a parking space so I thought they are being kind and doing their job as an attendant but hell no! Dont fall for it. They wont say anything and that was the question I asked the towing company, how come there were attendants that will help you find a spot but will not tell you that they have different parking app. The towing company said they wont tell you unless you ask… clearly a scam!!! And I asked the attendant in the parking lot all he say is he doesnt know his job is only to reserve a parking spot! Like WTH!! And one more thing that I cant believe is that I asked assistance with the police and they cant do anything about it. Thats what they said. They are really scammers! Making money out of deceiving people. They even damaged my car and left a scratch. The guy said I dont know anything about it

I paid for parking and still had my vehicle towed. I showed them where the parking was paid and they still had me paid for the towing bill. Doing business this way is a crime and shouldn't be allowed in our city. I will be speaking to the mayor about this. As a native Hollywood resident and business owner, it is sad to see a business make money this way.

Parking in Hollywood can be a nightmare Stay as far away from this company a1a as possible they watch the meter so if you are 5 min late they boot your car or tow it. They watch the meter this company a1a parking enforcement needs to be eliminated they are bullying stealing people's hard earned money

These ppl towed my car because my ticket expired, even though there was no meter at the parking center and just a honk app that did not have any kind app or webpage. IT SAYS IT IN THE POSTS OUTSIDE. We came down and our car was towed and we rushed in an Uber to come pick it up. Been here for 45 minutes and nobody is here we have been knocking and nothing happens. This is unacceptable if you are gonna tow a car at least make sure to be there if it says 24 HOURS. Extremely bad service.

Scam Scam and Scam paid for two hrs of parking and still got the boot. Employees act dumb founded and act like they can't do anything. Showed receipt and still nothing an extra $75 for a beach trip

Was scammed by this company and forced to pay 167.00 to get my vehicle just because they had lifted my vehicle off the ground. I'm a 100 % service connected disabled veteran, with a tag that says exactly that. I get 4 hours of metered parking for free per Florida Statute section 316.1964(8). I explained that to the driver and was completely ignored. The only thing he cared about was how I was going to pay him. I've spoken to a few police officers in advance just to avoid this from happening. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Something has to be done about the scavenger. I will also be contacting the news if I don't get any results within a week. REFUND ME MY MONEY THAT WAS STOLLEN FROM ME AND YOU FOLLOW THE RULES. LOOK UP THE STATUTE

I am unable to give anymore than 1 star for a company that boots and tows a car for being parked in restricted lot. Especially when the cost is $200 to get the car back. What happened to a simple $35 parking ticket. These private parking enforcement companies are gouging the public with these insane rates and the state is permitting them to do it. Smh Oh but once you give them their money your car is released in 5 minutes. What a joke....

What a scam! You cannot add time, except by going back to the car and when we did so 10 minutes after it expired, our car was already booted with a sticker on the window. This is a racket and I would advise anyone against parking in one of these lots. They live not to enforce parking, but to screw people whenever possible. While I was there, a gentleman had paid for two hours, and they booted him after 45 minutes. These people stink. BEWARE!

Scammers. They are predators. I parked in a lot with signs right at the entrance to the lot requiring an App to pay. The lot I parked on had a pay station that was covered with a black bag. Logically, it appeared that the lot now used the App and not a pay station. When I arrived later to get my car, it was booted. The Tow driver from A1A was sitting there collecting money from multiple drivers to remove the boots from their cars. I showed him my App and said "I still have time" - He said, "this is a common mistake, The App is not for this lot, its for the street spaces." He then said "you have to pay at the pay station." I said "the pay station isn't accessible, it has a black bag over it." He said, "yes its broken, you have to pay the lot attendant." I said "Where is the lot attendant?" and he said "I don't know, doesn't look like he is here today." - The entire scenario was designed to cause confusion and to take advantage of people. It's predatory, and the business that owns the lot and pays A1A are equally unethical and immoral for allowing this hustle to take place. I'm sure the Parents of these scammers are proud of what their children chose as a profession.

I left the ticket inside the car and they towed it!!!! But the worst part is they got into my car and stole the ticket!!! Why did they get into my car??????? I won’t stop until I get my money back. The machine was old enough, with broken buttons. So how do you do when you pay through an app when is not receipt to put in your dashboard??? They are thieves!!!!!! That’s what they are. The guy in the parking lot where they bring the cars told me they have like a master key!!!! How is that permitted??????

Zero Stars...Biggest scam on the beach! They booted my car for less than 1 hour over the paid fee $11 and plus they charged me $75.38 to remove! This should be illegal. Frank... I hope you get the bad karma you deserve for enforcing such barbaric procedures to families trying to enjoy Hollywood Beach! For the record I've lived in South Florida for nearly 30 years and I've never had a boot placed on my car... just give a ticket and be done with it.

These company are scam artist. We traveled all the way from Jupiter to have dinner with family at some restaurant on the beach. The machine we used to purchase a 2 hour parking ticket made us put in our license plate #. We put the ticket on the dash as the sign they have posted said, unfortunately because of all the wind it must have blown off to the next level council in clear site but we didn't notice. 10 minutes later I came back to the parking area to meet my daughter. She right away informed me that they were putting boots on my truck. I explained everything to the guy and showed him my parking ticket showing I paid. He didn't really care he just went on putting the boot on my truck. He said I had to pay $75.00 if I wanted to have the boots removed. We call the police. They could not force them to take it off so I had to pay to have them removed. But seriously it so obvious they are running a huge scam. There is another guy with a shirt that says parking attendant all faded bouncing around lots. According to the guy who put the boot on the attendant is there to help with the parking rule. But instead of helping he sits back an waits to see if someone didn't follow the rule and didn't put the parking ticket on the dash so he can call his buddy over to put the boot on the car even though he could have just walked over and told the customer that the ticket needs to be on the dash. They did the same thing to my 83 year old mother. It suck for all the local business because this co will probably run off a lot of their customers. :( And yes I used this business but not by choice.

SCAMMERS FOR SURE!!!!! There is no where posted on a sign to put your receipt on the dashboard. The machine you pay at actually asks you if you want a printed receipt. The fine print on the ticket is so light & small it’s easy to miss. This business is surely raking in the doe! The tow truck watches to make sure you don’t put the ticket on the dashboard and as soon as you walk away from your car they tow it! What a racket, the owner should be arrested! DO NOT PARK HERE!!!

This company is nothing but a scam. We paid for parking at their lot and were away for an hour. When we came back our car was gone. We saw the tow truck there getting ready to take another car and they told us they had just dropped off our car 20 minutes ago. None of the employees were helpful or understanding. They told us we were supposed to put a ticket in the windshield but when we paid the meter took payment, said “okay” and didn’t print anything. Nowhere on the meter did it say anything about a printed ticket. Our car had been in their possession for 30 minutes and they refused to even offer for us to pay half the ticket. They left us stranded in a city we are unfamiliar with and we had to go to the sketchiest area to get our car. Uber drivers stick around that area waiting for people who are stranded. Do not park in this company’s lots.

These people should be ashamed of themselves. Karma should do something just as vile to their elderly family members. The machine to pay for parking has you insert the cars tag which leads you to believe you don’t have to display your ticket. The sign that requests that you display the small parking ticket is small and in English only which means anyone who struggles with understanding may not know it’s mandatory even though they just typed in their tag info. This entire set up is manufactured to benefit from those who honestly pay but are used to normal parking meters that ask for tag info. Yes if you look hard enough the rules are there but it’s absolutely set up to make as much money off of people that make honest mistakes despite paying. Park on the street guys!

I see the owner likes to preach about following the rules when he responds to his single-star reviews. Today I’m going to preach discretion. I parked my rented truck in a surface lot on Hollywood Beach Saturday. Unfortunately, after paying for parking, I locked my keys in the truck. (You would think the technology of newer vehicles would prevent this from happening, but I learned my lesson.) I immediately left the area to ask police if they could help me get into the truck. After they explained they weren’t allowed to, I found shade and spoke with both the rental company and my insurer to figure out the fastest way to get my keys back. As soon as a roadside service let me know they were on the way, I returned to the parking lot to find the truck had been towed. I contacted A1A, and the woman who answered the phone immediately began arguing with me. She was incredibly condescending. She let me know I should have displayed my proof of parking payment on my dashboard WHICH WAS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS LOCKED OUT OF MY CAR. She then continued to tell me that SHE wouldn’t have walked away from her car. But I guess I can’t expect much from a woman who’s locked inside a mobile mini trailer on a beautiful Saturday. Must be miserable. She denied all of my requests to contact the owner or give me a special rate given my unfortunate circumstances. So that is why I am stressing DISCRETION today. I am NOT arguing that I shouldn’t have been towed (although it would be nice if this company had access to the parking software to verify I had paid). But given the rules, A1A COULD HAVE and SHOULD HAVE worked with me. This was unfair and demonstrated a complete lack of empathy. ADDED AFTER OWNER RESPONSE: I’m not surprised the owner failed to comprehend my review. He made that very clear when he inaccurately claimed that I expected A1A to “read my mind.” In fact, as inconvenient as it was, I didn’t argue against the tow!! Again, I am stressing discretion. Given my circumstances - which I shared with the employee over the phone and on site - this company should have allowed me complimentary retrieval of my rental or granted me a rate reduction. But, you’re money hungry. Enjoy the mobile mini!

I watched from my balcony across the street from this lot as the lot owner came by every 15 minutes to boot cars and immediately tow them. I sat out here to read for two hours and they towed 5 cars. One guy got back right as his car was being towed out. Another older couple was left stranded. It’s obvious that this place makes its money by towing people as soon as they leave their car, and then just claiming that the drivers didn’t pay. Don’t use them! Park illegally on the street instead, i watched cars parked illegally in the street go all day without a ticket or a tow. At this lot you’ll pay to park and still get towed! I learned this lesson when they towed me once, never again!

Beware..Beware Parking fee Hussle!!!! My Husband Parked at 313 Buchanan St North Beach Hollywood, FL 33019. He was charged $75.98 to have a boot removed which was placed after the parking ticket expired. No grace period no warning boot will be place 15 minutes after expiration of parking ticket. I call that a Parking Hussle. Ticket expired at 8:29pm boot was placed at 8:45pm, my husband got back to the lot at 8:45pm and boot was already in place. I call this kind of business practices shady beware parking in Hollywood FL. that is is all I have to say. People who park in any privat packing lot in Hollywood FL. be sure to take pictures before you leave the lot of everything just in case you have a problem getting booted or even towed. As I been reading several rewies after the fact, this been going on for years and years. Besides the boot got placed before 8:45pm as my husband got back to the lot at 8:45pm and the boot was already in place.

A1A parking lot on Buchanan street by the Hollywood beach boardwalk is a scam to take people money. I parked in the lot and the stood there for 15 mins trying to find someone to pay or get their meter to work. The meter continuously said it was out of order no attendant anywhere to be seen. Signs all over the place that provides you a way to pay on your cell phone app. Well I purchased 3 hours for $13. When I came back my vehicle was gone. Bunch of others missing as well and come people carrying boots around. Attendant now sitting there explains paying on your phone is for the streets not the lot. Called the tow place they have the car and said they’d send the address. I explained to them I had now way to get there and I was from KY didn’t know anything about public transportation. We ended up walking over 3 miles over an hour to this place to pay them $167 to get our vehicle. The tow place owns these lots and just looking to get more money from you than just the parking permit. I’d be ashamed. People pay lots of money to come to these tourist areas to get scammed out of even more money. Probably do like a previous person says dispute the transaction on the credit card for this scam company.

They actually have an employee on the lot booting cars that have exceeded their paid for parking stay. 10 minute grace period they state…not listed on any of the visible signs. Parking meter is poorly lit so turn on your cell’s flashlight to use it. Read your receipt carefully. And plan to be at your car not one minute past the paid for parking time listed on your ticket. As a resident of Hollywood….. I’m ashamed to have this type of company preying on both locals and visitors to our beautiful beaches. But hey……. $$$ makes the world go round.

This place should be illegal. My wife parked in a parking lot and the sign said download and is mobile parking app. So she did and the towing company waited for her to walk away and tow her. They know the sign is poorly placed and is done so to confuse people. After speaking to the people at the office it was VERY clear he knew exactly what sign I was talking about and I then knew this is how they do there business and get there money so there was no point in expressing my concern. I wish I could give them no stars. I know people don’t left be wrong and being towed but I completely feel they are extremely wrong for this and I would not recommend them for any kind of towing service at all.

I am a tourist visiting Hollywood. I made sure and paid for adequate amount of time for parking, entered my license plate number, and returned to the spot with 30 minutes to spare. So I was extremely surprised to find a ticket on my window and wheal locks preventing me from leaving. I also noticed that about 5 other cars had also been locked up and ticketed. The employee of the lot showed up within a few minutes and informed me that if I wanted to have the locks removed I would have to pay $72 . When I politely informed him that there must be a mistake. I showed him my receipt which indicated at least 20 more minutes remaining. His answer was "I did not see the ticket on the dashboard , so there is nothing I can do for you. I have read multiple reviews on several webb sights and it is very apparent to me that this business could care less about having an honest business or taking care of customers. I understand that this is a private business and they make their own rules but this is downright criminal and this should be an embarrassment to the city.I also understand that most people will not read a review before they park so this company could care less. However if this happens to you and you paid with a credit card, definatly dispute the charges. I won the money back with no effort because A1A has zero proof.

My husband parked and got a ticket. This was at 8:36 the ticket expired at10:36. He went to go grab a pizza for us for dinner. At 9:24 he called me and stated our car had been booted. He attempted to call and get the problem resolved, just to be disrespected, mocked and hung up on. So I asked for the number to call myself, thought maybe a different approach would help, but to my surprise the man was rude, would not listen to a word I said, even thought I only wanted a time line to when we could remove the boot. He hung up on me as well. I called again and he stated he called the police and a tow trunk, then hung up. After an hour no police have shown up but the tow trunk did with the same man that was answering the phone. He was vile and hostile. Threatening my husband, saying he is a multi felon and has a gun. Asking”you wanna fight”. I’m on the phone with my husband during all of this and I just told him to call the police himself. The police took another 30 minutes, all while I’m terrified for his safety, just praying things will remain calm enough to be “safe”. Finally when they do get to the scene the look over everything my husband is claiming and finally made the men remove the boot only to find out they have damaged our control arm and can not disconnect the boot they illegally placed! The employees were obviously on drugs and the first man on the site stated it was only he second day and he had no idea what to do. At first I tried to completely understand this line of work and what they deal with but with all the reasoning in the world they continued to hang up or talk harmfully to us. They made it seem as though they had called the police but when they came to tow our car and we informed them that we had called e police is when they get mad and started threatening my husband. It’s now 11:26 and my husband and police are both on scene, waiting for this “company” to get the boot off!! We paid $70 the first 45minutes to just try and get the ordeal over with, then after they couldn’t remove it they claimed they needed another $150 to get another guy and tool, we paid. It’s been hours and they still can’t figure it out. Worst experience ever!!
