Absolutely Dishonest and Predatory!
Ridge Plaza Tire & Auto took complete advantage of a single mom. They charged $275 just to refill A/C gas and $100 for a basic oil change on a Honda CR-V — already overpriced.
When the A/C stopped working again shortly after, the shop said the only solution was to replace the condenser for $1,800, which is outrageous based on real market prices. Thankfully, after getting a second opinion from a trusted mechanic, we found out the condenser was perfectly fine — the real problem was a small leak in one of the lines. The repair (including new refrigerant) cost only $240 total.
This shop either doesn’t know what they’re doing or, worse, they knowingly tried to scam a customer who trusted them. Taking advantage of people — especially a single mom — is unacceptable.
Avoid this place at all costs. Find an honest, certified mechanic who won’t invent expensive repairs just to make a quick profit.

I'm not kidding when I tell you: her story is the EXACT same one I came here to write. And that should tell you how fantastic this shop is--and especially Jace and Kyle (though I bet all the mechanics are great too).
I came in, and Jace was juggling three other client phone calls, but acknowledged me and said he'd be with me shortly. A minute or two later, he asked why I was there (same thing: screw in tire, need a plug) and like the young lady a few weeks ago, told me "Pull around the side." By the time I pulled my truck up, Kyle was waiting with tools in hand, and got to work immediately. Tire was plugged, ALL FOUR TIRES got new air to even out, and Jace rang me up. I think I was there a maximum 5 minutes.
I'm 42. Been driving since I was 16. That's a total 26 years of driving and I can say without question I have NEVER had a tire taken care of that fast. Hell I've never had a tire patch situation handled in under 30 minutes!
This shop deserves your business--they won mine for any non-warranty issues with my vehicle (it's only a year old). Stop by...you won't regret it.
I went because my tire pressure light came on. I knew I had a nail for a while but it never gave me problems, so the moment the light turned on I decided to come by and had the pleasure of meeting Jace. Jace told me to pull my car back and within 4 minutes Kyle was already patching the tire. Was in and out of there in a matter of 7 minutes!! Extremely nice people!!! 100/10

Brought my 2008 Tahoe to Ridge Plaza Tire & Auto thinking it needed multiple engine mounts. They found the real cause — a coolant system issue — and fixed it right. Honest, skilled, and professional. My Tahoe runs great now! Highly recommend.

Their services are top notch, their understanding of how electrical and mechanical systems work top notch, their personable approach and desire to form long term business relationships, these are the things that have me comfortably rating this team with a Solid 5-Star
SCAMMERS 4 weeks ago I brought my vehicle in because my a/c wasn’t working and I was told my evaporator was bad . I spent over 2000$ on this repair . My A/C went out again so I decided to go to the dealership. They told me MY EVAPORATOR WAS NEVER ACTUALLY REPLACED. I am dealing with the Better Business Bureau at this moment
Needed a quick fix for a nail stuck in one of my tires. They took me in immediately with needing an appointment and without delay had my tire patched up less than 20-30 mins. Great service and friendly attitudes all around! Highly recommend!
Never ever again will I go to this shop and recommend the same to all. The management grossly overcharged me then got verbally abusive when I questioned the bill. Do not trust them.
Best Place to go to in Davie! Great staff, and fair prices. Jace and everyone I met there was very knowledge and friendly. They do things the right way. Really saved me the other day. This is the place to go! Very thankful for them
This place has screwed me multiple times. My fault for ever going back. Just broke down in Mississippi with a broken transmission. The fault of this place. Had a clutch replaced a couple years ago and they only put a quarter of the needed fluid in. I only drove the truck to grocery store all that time so didn’t know what they’d done. Also while replacing transmission in Mississippi ( that took a week and screwed me ) the mechanics told me whoever did the clutch is a moron. The used an air gun to tighten the bolts and not a torque wrench. Which caused more problems. They destroyed to connection to the gear shift by just pining it in instead of knowing how to unscrew it correctly, which caused another MASSIVE problem. The clutch went out in my drive 1000% because they didn’t put enough trans fluid in it. And after the mechanics started working on it, they were in shock how they air gunned the bolts and didn’t fill it. That’s one thing.
They also charged me $900 for an “ American made “ fuel pump and never even checked their work apparently because the fuel gauge doesn’t work because the float doesn’t work. I’ve had an AC put in here also, and it needed to be refilled within a couple months of not even using it because it wasn’t hot out. They can be extremely rude and non-caring in any way. It’s my fault for ever going back after the fuel pump disaster but I’m a good person and thought they actually cared. My mistake. Typical S. Florida. I’ve spent 1000s here and a couple times they got it right. But what they did to my transmission is unforgivable.
I don’t like to bash a business but they absolutely deserve it.
I guess getting a battery is about the level of expertise they have.
I bought my truck in for minor repairs cost me $3,500. I finally got the truck back and it's missing parts.. they have two stories on 441 in over here in Davie. They are outright thieves. If you are a senior citizen never ever ever go to either one of their stores. Mark my word you will be sorry
I always go to them when I need plugs or new tires. The staff is very friendly and the prices are really good. Jayce always comes out to make sure we’re taking care of and everything is up to our standards

Done business with them before and they were okish. But this last time was the worst. After agreeing to some work, they pretty much backed out of touching the car. Took my business to another local store, were the simple work was done in less than hour and at better price. I'm all for supporting local business but this is just not worth it. LIke another review stated, seems they don't want to do business with some people.
I recently visited Ridge Plaza Tire & Auto expecting a professional experience (my second time), but unfortunately, I was disappointed. Initially, one of the owners assured me that the work I needed could be done in less than an hour, and I was hopeful everything would be handled smoothly. However, the next day, the other owner quickly denied the job on my third tried, acting as if it wasn't even worth their time.
I tried to offer suggestions that would make the repair more efficient, because I took the time to read online about my car mechanics, hoping it would help, but the person in charge (the taller gentleman) dismissed my ideas entirely, and told me he and his partner decided not to touch my car and asked me to find another shop to complete the work. The advice is okay, but the sharp way it was done is not right. They can be kind or professional any time they choose not to help a customer in need.
I would not recommend this business to anyone looking for a nice customer service, plus the prices are higher. You will pay a fee if you use your credit card.
I would recommend to go to Jiffy Lube at University, by Whole Food. They are more for oil services, but Rafael and Eric were so kind and listened to what I have to say and really did their best to help me even though they were having a busy afternoon. That place was packed with work. As a woman, I felt safe in that place. The headlights of my car were fixed in less than 30 minutes.
I have been bringing my truck, my wife’s car and my kids cars here for years. I am never disappointed with the service and the pricing is very reasonable compared to others in the area. Highly recommended!
Definitely NOT the most competitive prices in the area. Short chubby guy with the goatee beard was sour that i got a more competitive rate elsewhere. Came back to him to do my tires although he was more expensive because he could do them sooner than another guy. He didn’t even want to do the tires for me. Better prices and kinder service in shops behind the Signature Grand. There are several of them. Quality work too. Ive gone to them for years.
P.S. My other guy called me back told me the tires came in already. They came in an hour and a half after he ordered them, earlier than expected. Fast turnaround!
Charged me 1600 for an alternator they swore was the only one that could/would work in a 2019 expedition.
A quick search on eBay parts, Amazon parts and auto zone proved this was a lie and I was overcharged by double even for a brand new part.
Last night we went to a movie at the Ridge and parked my 2011 Jeep at Ridge Auto and when we tried to leave my car would not crank..nothing.. not even a dash light. I was really surprised since I had just bought a new battery last week. We took a Lift home and called the shop when they first opened at 0730 this morning. The manager, Tom Stenglein said bring your key in and I'll check it out. Upon arrival Tom said give them a hour to check it out. Before I left I tried again and nothing. In an hour, Tom called and said I could pick up my car since when he tried, it cranked. He said he tried everything..checked all the wires, starter, ignition switch and could not get it to fail. I was surprised to hear him say no charge..he said can't fix it if it's not broke. While I haven't had any other work done there, it was nice to find an honest business..he could have charged me for just the diagnostic work. I'll take my Jeep there the next time I need any work done. Thanks!
Horrible experience with this place. I came here to have my stock tires installed back on my truck since I’m staying at a condo locally and can’t work on the truck myself. The task was extremely simple: take off my aftermarket wheels, take off my 6-lug to 5-lug adapter spacers, put on my stock wheels. I spoke with someone at this place who was very rude and spoke to me like I have no idea about cars (even though I’ve been a truck and sports car mechanic/enthusiast for over 10 years). I try to explain what I need done on the truck, guy interrupted me to try and give me a lecture on how the truck must ride bad because of the spacers and how there’s no way they can do the job because the 5 lug nuts per wheel for the spacers are not enough for the 6 lug nuts he’ll need for the stocks. I explain that the lug nuts under the spacer are identical since I installed them to begin with and he’d have 44 lugs and need only 24. He refused unless he has OEM lug nuts and directed me to an advanced auto parts to buy brand new sets of lug nuts that weren’t even OEM. I immediately understood the place is a clown show and they clearly didn’t want to work on the truck and I just left.
I ended up deciding to just get new AT wheels since Amazon delivered them in 48 hours. I decided to give them another shot cause again, they’re the closest tire shop and the task now was even easier. I call them up and they first give me an overpriced rate (somehow more than before for less work), followed by stating they cannot work with those tires cause they were “too big.” Ended up taking the truck to another independent tire shop where they took care of me in 30 min and for half the price. Highly recommend you never step into this place.
My Tesla had a leak in the left tire from a large metal object. Three other places would not touch it. This company pulled the piece of metal out plugged it I was in and out within 5 minutes. And it was a great price. Customer service was amazing. Very very friendly
