I took a glance at Steve's response. STEVE, MY MEMORY DOES NOT NEED REFRESHING...I REMEMBER EVERY DETAIL. STEVE, DO YOU KNOW YOU HAVE 2 STARS ON YELP! I will reiterate you cursed at me ( for starters), and said things you just don't say to a woman (or anyone) I just want to be helpful to others....there's nothing in this for me. While there are some ligitamete reviews on Google we all know that MANY dishonest companies boast reviews that are bogus from friends, grandmothers etc. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT A BUSINESS IS ABOUT GO TO YELP! I WISH I HAD DONE THAT FIRST. STEVE'S DISHONESTY IS CLEARLY STATED BY REAL CUSTOMERS. STEVES SCORE IS A (2). YES, 2 STARS. I also have filed a complaint with BBB

I am a 65 year old woman, a devout Christian and my words can be trusted.
My car stopped in the middle of the road and I had a strong feeling it was my transmission. I have GEICO insurance, and they told me it would be an hour. I heard negative things about Aamco, but I don't have many options. I spoke with Steve the owner told him my tow would take an hour and he suggested he send his tow truck out and there would be no charge for the tow or diagnostic. WHAT HE FAILED TO TELL ME IS THAT W CONTINGENT ON Aamco service! HAD I KNOWN THAT, WOULD HAVE CALLED GEICO AND WAITED! I MADE NO COMITMENT TO STEVE THAT I WOULD DO BUSINESS WITH HIM! Apparently he thought I was some dumb woman that doesn't know to get multiple quotes! Aamco was $1,200 to $1,600 HIGHER THAN THE OTHER TOP SHOPS W/ OUTSTANDING REVIEWS. Who wouldn't switch!?
When I called Steve to lhk I was sending a tow truck to another location he snapped. He demanded to know who "under cut" him, I told him it was none of his business. He then said I had to pay him $258 for the tow and diagnostic! I would have stayed if he wouldn't have tried to take advantage of a woman. He ended screaming at me and in all my 65 years, I never have anyone way the below the belt insults and curse words. I broke out in hives and I was getting chest pains....I was in a state of shock! This "nice man on the phone" suddenly turned into Satan. My words are true and correct. I am writing this because of I can save one other person from this horrific experience
Rick and Nick did a great job of taking care of my 1996 Chevy K1500 Z71. Thought I had a transmission problem that was going to be quite expensive. Nick is a GM Master Mechanic, who was willing to explore other options, and discovered the problem was less complicated and less costly. A day and a half later, and my truck runs better than it has in years. After the diagnostic fee, it only cost about $60 more than if I had done it myself. Thank you so much guys!
We are on honeymoon from Ohio and we had a car issue. Our car wouldn’t start. We called Rick and Steve and they got us right in and Rick pushed us up above other people cause he knew that we were on honeymoon and not from here so he worked really quickly to get us fixed and on our way anytime that I am in Florida and I have issues or if I know anybody that has issues from here I will always refer them to him! Great service, great customer service !!! Thank you Rick !!! You’re heaven sent !!
WOW, let me say it again, WOW. This place was awesome. The fellas, starting with Anthony who took damn good care of me from the beginning and Steve who took the time to show me just how bad the last person who worked my car did, and it was terrible. They are the best and they have my gratitude and heartfelt appreciation. Bless every person who give their best at AAMCO in Melbourne, Florida.

Went for for a diagnostic test, they were very nice but the price just wasn’t right. They were trying to sell me more than help me. After I paid the 145 diagnostic fee and got in my car and left I noticed a giant crack in my windshield. They state it didn’t happen when they were doing the tests and driving it to see what issues there were. I asked what they would do about it, they stated we cant do anything because it was probably a rock thrown up or someone came by and randomly vandalized my car. They said you’ll have to make an insurance claim… make sure you go there prepared to pay way over market price and possibly having damages done that they won’t fess up too.
They do more than just transmissions. I took my car in for brakes and rotors. Happy with the work. Thank you Steve and Rick for answering all my questions and having great customer service.
Steve & Anthony did a fantastic job from always staying in communication to give me detail and understanding on my transmition. Great service good people u can trust.
Excellent service from everyone in the shop two other shops would not look at my Subaru and they took it in right away on the next business day. No upsell of anything I didn’t needed especially when Subaru told me I needed $700 worth of work done and it was very simple. Fix that they didn’t charge me for.
We were going home back to GA and had someone in Miami change the transmission oil of our 2020 gmc sierra. We started having problems with it when we got to Melbourne. I called them and even though their schedule was busy they fit us in. Everyone was supper helpful and Jesus really took his time in making sure he fixed what was going on and made us feel like family . We deeply appreciate the whole team.
I had transmission problems on a 1999 Silverado and was told by another service center that I would need a new Transmission totaling several thousand dollars. Steve and his lead technician diagnosed the problem to the PCM and for less than $1000 the problem was resolved. They were honest and totally straightforward with me and that's a rare quality in several places!
Omg! Cannot say enough that would explain how great Steve is! I recently bought a Volkswagen Jetta with transmission issues… I was told to go to Aamco. I thought to myself oh no here we go! This is certainly not the case with Steve! He was awesome. Talked with me over the phone was patient and knowledgeable! Don’t hesitate to call! And no, I did not come out with a $4000 new transmission! I can see why they have great reviews…honest and they won’t rip you off!
Anthony fid a great job working with my schedule and keeping me informed of the work progress. After all the repairs were completed, Anthony explained, in detail, all that was done and why the work was necessary.

I know your only as good as the people around you, but Steve is a different person all together, let me explain:
I was Refered to his shop as a Bussiness owner, I own an inspection and pest control Bussiness, and one of my trucks got a bad Transmissions. Took it to Aamco, at his shop ,and he rebuilt my damaged Transmission ,
Now 7 months of good work, the Transmissions died from a damaged torque mechanism , (which was working, when the rebuilding took place)
Steve had to order one newer torque, then he had my entire transmition Redone, worked on it and DID NOT CHARGE ME!
This was a large expense, may I add ,and he didd not care about his out of pocket expense
He wanted to maintain a good name
( at a great cost to him!)
People like him you don’t find every day
Most will fight, to avoid losing profits, not Steve

Not everyone touches my 48 year old show car but I have complete confidence there. You get a very fair estimate before work and anything that they find during the maintenance event, you’ll be advised. Plus - you get great technical information, suggestions and advice along the way not to mention, tips to avoid potential troubles. I’ve been there three times now with different vehicles and would not hesitate to send my family & friends (which I’ve done already).
Thank goodness Melbourne has an auto care facility this professional & responsible!
Forgot to post this last year. Steve, Anthony, and the team at AAMCO in Melbourne are fantastic. Just all around good dudes. Rebuilt 1st and 2nd gear, and put in a new clutch and slave/master cylinder on my 2015 Honda Accord transmission. Quality work.
The customer service here is AMAZING.! I have been struggling to find a reputable repair shop for my 2004 Jeep Liberty and I think I have finally found it. Bobby and Anthony were SO patient with me and willing to answer all if my questions. I even learned some things about my car because of them. I can't say thank you enough. You guys are AWESOME!

I was traveling up route 95 at 70 mph. Glancing at my trucks steering column gear selector I noted that the gear selector said I was in reverse…trouble….transmission shops are my worst nightmare! A glance at my phone told me one was near, Aamco. Arriving I met Steve and staff. They diagnosed a broken cable in the steering column. Ford delivered the offending part and within a short time I was on my way. Great service, nice people and this grumpy old man left smiling in my 14 year old Ranger.
Jim was absolutely amazing working with me. I had another reputable mechanic have my car for 6 weeks and they could not get the job done and they gave me the run around. Had it towed to Jim at Aamco and he worked with my warranty company and had it fixed with in 5 business days. He kept in contact with me every step of the way. I cannot say enough nice things about him and his business. 10/10 would recommend!!
Steve and Anthony and the mechanics behind the scene were incredible. We were in town for softball and had to be back home to get back to work. They were polite, knowledgeable and got our vehicle in and quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. They were honest and did I mention the quick turnaround on the repairs. My vehicle was towed in on a Monday w/o and appointment and was fixed and ready for pick up on Friday at Noon which was wonderful. I am so thankful that AAMCO offers a multitude of finance options, even for the credit challenged! I was diagnosed with Cancer a year ago and had been unable to work for 8 months so my credit suffered.
When my car broke down and I had no cash, I was unsure of how I would pay for repairs until I was approved for financing! Thank you so much AAMCO
Aamco did an awesome job working on my car. They were friendly, reliable and honest which is sometimes hard to find in the auto repair business. Steve bent over backwards to help make sure my repair was covered by the warranty company after they kept trying to get out of paying. Anthony explained everything in detail and kept me updated on the repairs. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest auto repair shop!
Absolutely love the kindness that was given. Anthony and Steve where amazing. Drove my car to diagnose the problem I thought I was having, they didn’t hear it so they rode with me. Anthony reassured me it was fine and made me feel so much better. They was amazing! I wasn’t charged for my service, but man I would come back in a heart beat if I needed. Highly recommend Steve’s AAMCO repair shop on hibiscus for great service at an honest fair price. They repaired and serviced my 2009 Jeep Wrangler at an amazing price on different occasions. Had bad experience with Gator and went to Steve. Steve’s mechanic fixed the reason the Jeep would not start and locked in park - bad transmission cable. I strongly recommend them and will continue to go to them compared to other shops for their skills in repair and explaining it. Thank u Steve!
Steve was great to work with. I called mid-day on a Thursday and he had a 9AM appointment for me the following day.
My transmission was shifting a little rough, and shuttering at high speeds. Common F-150 problem, apparently.
Like promised, the appointment took less than 2 hours. My transmission feels much smoother and shifts flawless. Their service included dropping the pan, replacing the filter, and installing a new gasket.
Their prices are super reasonable and overall I left paying half of what the dealership had quoted me.
Would definitely go back for more services from them.
Had my 2004 GTO clutch burned out by my 17 year old new driver, service was fast, price was reasonable and the repair was perfect. One thing I really liked was the communication- complete with text and pics send to my phone as we were discussing the issues and repair options. I would highly recommend this shop
