If I could give negative stars I would- quick and dirty— through insurance company to transport a car. I called them to touch base and get a real eta - never got a follow up eta initial 45-75 min USAA contacted me about 50 min later asking how it was” apparently they came and went 30 min prior to then and canceled. My assumption is they billed the insurance company noting I wasn’t there and they didn’t ever leave their shop.
After confirming the pickup over the phone, given a 1-2 hour ETA, and told a driver is in route, nobody showed. After almost 2 hours of waiting, they canceled the tow according to the tracking status. And as other reviewers have stated, they did not bother to inform me or pick up any calls after being canceled. Unrealiable and dishonest. I would not recommend this company to others. I no longer trust Progressive for "insuring" that these situations are properly handled.
Sarah at Pit Crew Recovery was absolutely phenomenal! We broke down on I 10 and she kept in constant contact with us while we found a way to get home. They definitely went above and beyond and I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend!
I know that I left a very bad Review for this company earlier this morning but I was misinformed by USA a insurance And having the same Issue with My car that I had 8 days go and then USA a telling me that they showed up to pick up my car and it was in a garage which I don't own I got very upset But now speaking to Pit crew recovery I understand that was not the issue but USA insurance just took it upon themsells to change Carrier I do apologize for any bad reviews that people have already read And I would very highly recommend this towing company if you're in need of Any services that they offer
Sarah and John are saints! I was driving from Jacksonville, FL to Gulf Shores, AL to meet up with my family. My car’s transmission gave out on I-10 and I had no idea where I was. Sarah and John got me safely to the Walmart parking lot in Chipley so my family could easily find me, then offered to pick up my car AGAIN and store it for me until I could retrieve it on Monday (President’s Day). She had me text her when I was safely picked up, as well. When we got back with an auto hauler on Monday, Sarah and John happened to come to the property and helped us load it on the trailer, as well (and thank goodness as there was no way we could have done it by ourselves). The kindness and compassion they showed me made a horrible situation so much easier. They are fantastic people and I could not recommend them more!!
This is the most amazing company in the world. They went out of there way to make sure my family was safe and back on the road. You can't expect more from a wonderful company. My wife and kids sit on the side of the road 4 hours after the first tow truck was a no show then with 2 flat tires and one spare they managed to came up with a solution and saved the day. Thank you guys so very much I could never repay you enough....
What an incredible husband and wife team. It’s always good to see small business owners go out other way to help people. It says a lot about those success and the way they run their business. If you are ever in their service area these are the people to call. They are caring, honest and all around good people. Sometimes you have to wait and that’s just the nature of breaking down, however once you get past your own misfortune and realize they are there to help, they will change your perspective.
Where do I begin. This tow company is awesome. My car broke down and I called them and explained where it was and where I left the keys. They were so nice and helpful. I’m also on a volunteer fire department and I told the fire department to use them when one of our trucks broke down. The other guys we called used us and Pitt crew was there and helped us get the truck and even told us what was wrong with it. Highly recommend anyone to use this company.
PULL-OUT SERVICE
Absolutely the friendliest phone conversation. I was stuck on a long stretch of muddy road, after talking on the phone with Ms. Sarah, they by chance had a truck coming right by my location last night (after hours). Under these circumstances they offered a courtesy pull-out. They showed up quickly, but, unfortunately I was really far down the road where their tow line was a bit too short. They couldn’t reach my vehicle, but, they called, explained the issue, and recommended a company that specializes in really tough pull-out service. They even had a follow-up call to ensure we made it out ok. These folks are friendly, and very professional. If I ever need them or in need to recommend someone, I have their number in my contacts for quick access.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This company is exactly what America needs more of! Good Honest people !!seems everyone is always trying to get one over on somebody or make any extra money they can, THIS COMPANY IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS!!! If I could give them more than 5 stars I definitely would.
I cannot recommend this company enough! I own my own wrecker company in Arkansas and when my nephew got stranded in Miramar Beach, FL they were super quick to reach out to me after I posted for help and drove 70 miles out of their way to help me make sure he got back on the road safely. They even proceeded to send a truck out after i told them my roadside supposedly had someone else on the way and I am so glad they did because they showed up right when they said whereas my roadside just gave another hour eta after not showing up. John and Sarah were truly a blessing and I am beyond grateful for their help. Thank you so much for helping out a fellow tow service! Hopefully one day we can return the favor.
This company made my towing experience a breeze...the driver called me and said he would be there in 35 minutes he showed up in 25 and offered me a cold bottle of water since i had been waiting would highly recommend I'm from out of town so I was a bit worried but they even recommend a shop I would definitely recommend them to anyone thanks again guys.
I used my Progressive roadside assistance and Pit Crew Recovery answered the call! Sarah came and jumped my battery in record time. Super nice and helpful! Also great communication! 10/10 - I don’t ever want car trouble again but if I do get into trouble, I’ll know who to call.
I was stranded on the side of the road for 6 hrs because 2 other tow companies failed to assist me and find my location. Sarah from Pit Crew was very helpful. Asked how I was doing? Took the time with me to figure out my location and showed up to tow my car. Her and the driver were very accommodating and made a frightening experience end quickly.
Less than 1 star!!! Was scheduled to get towed. Called to confirm, they had the pick up location and drop off as the same place. Didn’t bother to ask why. Fixed the pick up location problem. Pit Crew cancelled the tow and never gave me any call or gave me a reason why. Insurance Co said after investigation, Pit Crew said that a flat bed came and they couldn’t use a flat bed to load my vehicle. Wrong. I was here all day. No one showed. Also, a flat bed brought it in to begin with.
Waited 3 hours for nothing and a lie as to why they cancelled. They refused to answer the phone when I tried to get any information. Whites Towing and Affordable Towing of Calhoun helped tremendously. Use them instead!!! DON’T USE THIS PLACE!!!
The crew at Pit Crew Recovery were very professional and did the job with ease. They rushed to our rescue and had to drive over 90 minutes just to help my family out when no one else would come. Again, Thank you to Sarah for helping and for the driving getting us out. You guys are amazing!!!
Wonderful experience!! They had to come from another city 1 hour away. When they arrived he saw the problem immediately...the battery cables. I had just had a new battery installed a few days before! He got his tools and fixed it saving me the tow and even more a bill at car repair shop and missed work!! Thank you so much!!!!!❤️
pay attention to the other reviews. Broken down around midnight, they were dispatched and said they would be there in an hour. After an hour said they were 20 minutes out. After another hour I called them back multiple times but they would not answer. State Trooper came by around 3am and got us a different tow company.
Pit Crew Recovery was incredible. I got off work and my car wouldnt start, they advised me the my battery post was stripped but was able to get me on the road within minutes. Very nice and professional, i recommend them now to everyone. Thank you guys!
Horrible company!! tried to blame my insurance for cancelling my tow. Come to find out Pit crew is who cancelled on me. Didnt tell me until i called 30 min after the eta deadline BECAUSE I CALLED THEM. THEY DID NOT CALL ME. DO NOT USE. THEY WILL LEAVE YOU STRANDED EXPECTING A TOW.

It was not my insurance. If it was limited to not allow the tow, then why did they get another company to do it? And you are lying about contacting me. I have the call log and would screen shot it to show you if i could post it on here. Sad you cant just admit you were wrong and apologize.
NEVER SHOWED UP!!! Waited wayy past the Eta time and called only to find out it was cancelled 1 HOUR prior. No text telling me. No call. Was just gonna leave me ob the side of the road in the dark with 3 kids 3 yrs and under.
