At Vanhorn's Auto Salvage we sale a complete line of new & used auto parts on a wide year range & variety of vehicles. We are an independently owned business that strives to keep our customers happy and returning. We offer a full service yard or allow knowledgeable customers to pull their own parts. You can call or walk into the office and inquire about any part for your vehicle, & if you wish you can pay for the part, (via telephone w/cc or in person) we will have the part pulled & give you a courtesy call when its available for pick up. If we do not have the part we have many order in options both new and used. All parts must be paid for prior to being pulled. Most parts come with a 30 day warranty **with receipt (some exceptions apply).

I went with a buddy to take a Honda Van , there was an agreed on price , but because there wasn't a battery or a catalytic converter, price was reduced by 35% to 140 from 200 . I don't think that was quite fair but was better than riding around to a different yard

I needed a part for my AC that was going to cost $1,500 at Toyota.......Van Horn's got it to me for $125 bucks in 2 days, and it works great with a 6-month guarantee awesome business!
Unfortunately I got completely screwed over. I was recommended here but will not be returning. I purchased a motor back in September of 2024 from here. Paid same day I was notified the motor was there and told them I could pick it up 3 days later when I could grab the truck. Tristan had no issues with that. When time came to pick up the motor THEY SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE after I paid cash for it. After trying time after time for them to make it right, here we are in March of 2025 and STILL NO MOTOR. I wound up just getting my refund now I’m on the hunt again. Don’t recommend.
I do not recommend purchasing a front windshield from this salvage yard. They did a poor job during the removal process, which resulted in hairline cracks and rough edges that compromised the integrity of the windshield. I couldn’t imagine what would happen if I attempted to install it because, when I picked it up, the windshield completely shattered in my hands due to to the damaged done from the removal process, they do not offer any refunds or compensation for replacement items, which made my experience a complete waste of $114. If you are considering buying a front windshield, I suggest exploring other options.
The situation seemed like a scam, and to add no one working there is on the same page definitely a lack of communication issue, talking to them gives the impression that it’s everyone’s first day on the job, and I wouldn't be surprised if that were true.
I spoke with a person at the end of our conversation who appeared to be either the owner or a manager. He first acknowledged that their system for removing parts is flawed, then later tries blaming me for the breaking of the glass stating “We cannot guarantee how it is transported or handled, which can contribute to breakage”. There go to excuse for when something goes wrong. I was told I wouldn't be able to handle any of the removal myself, which he confirmed was agreed upon a few days earlier. He cautioned that using their services would be a bad idea, that their system of doing things changed recently and a lot of employees have quit because of it. He recommended that I explore other options for replacing my window instead of going through a salvage yard.
I awarded the second star for his straightforward honesty at the end. He recognized that my attempt to get another windshield from them would likely lead to a frustrating situation, resulting in more wasting of both a significant amount of money and time.
In conclusion, do not get a windshield from this salvage yard under any circumstances!
I wish I had someone that told me that before I made the mistake, don’t fall for this like I did.
Always come here over the parts houses and stores saves me time and money. I definitely recommend this place for harnesses and anything your car is missing

My experience with Van Horn's Auto Salvage was very good. I started the conversation asking about parts on the website and did get a very prompt reply each time. When I finally got to ther office I did not have to wait to long for what I asked for. The prices were fair compared to other sites they were courteous and professional. I will be back for more after the holidays are over.
Call the 805 a.m. waited till 1:07 p.m. asking about a fan motor they said it was $67 used the 2799 on eBay brand new exact same part so I waited 5 hours to get almost tripled the price LOL
Very unfriendly , called to talked to them about picking up my car , after telling me they'd pick it up was waiting for confirmation and was hung up on after being on hold for 15 min called back got put back on hold for 15 min with Noone returning to the line won't be calling them back for anything.
I called everyday since last Friday (over a week now) and asked them to come pick up my RUNNING Cadillac Escalade. He told me they could/would come get it. He took my info … then took it again, and again each time as I called back, saying their driver would reach out to me soon to arrange to come get my car. Everyday I called I was told the same story, everyday that goes by I get the same results. NO CALL NO SHOW!!! I sincerely wonder how you all get your cars and parts to resell and doing such good business doing so! As a local I have heard nothing but positive things about Van Horns but from experience, it’s a big no from me and will continue to be a no out of my mouth anytime someone mentions Van Horns, I will mention what a unprofessional experience I’ve had with them. I’ll do the work myself to part out my car. The cats alone on it are worth a grand. So thanks for wasting my time Van Horns, you actually saved

Y'all need to hire more receptionist. Congratulations on the amount of work you guys have, I was put on hold for 31minutes, then they just hung up. Called back twice and rang twice and call was declined twice.
Been trying to call for a week now, finally got ahold of them today, they put me on hold for 10 minutes and never answered , tried calling back 3 times immediantly after from 2 different numbers and it was declined , called again 4 hours later no amswer again. Saw a similar review. Weird .
I purchased a used Nissan Maxima. It is a beautiful vehicle and drives very well. The dealer has been great about fixing a couple of small problems. All-in-all, a really wonderful experience! If you’re looking for a good used vehicle at a great price, I highly recommend Van Horn’s!
Called this place and was going to offer them my junker for the first price they pitched. After the guy put me on hold for twenty minutes he got back on the phone and hung up on me. I tried calling again and they didn't pick back up. Couldn't even get in contact. Just wow.

Nice people, they were helpful over the phone and directed me in the salvage yard as well. Great prices, just remember to bring tools. They loaned me some, but still it is a literal "pick a part"
I had to stop there to get a new driver side mirror for my truck, went into the front and spoke with one of the team members, who was very friendly and polite. I told him what you was looking for and allowed me the opportunity to go and look to see if they had the part I needed. Once I found what I was looking for, I went back to the front and he explained to me the pricing, that it is one price of I pull it myself and another if they pull it. Once I started pulling the part I had to stop and go and ask questions which he was able to answer very knowledgeably. If you need auto parts, I would recommend checking them out first

Jason Vanhorn is a good guy and his crew is pretty knowledgeable. The guy in the front, Tristan is very friendly and knows what he's doing. Fair prices, friendly service and you might even get a good laugh every now and then.
