I used to come here as a kid, since these ppl took over its run tight, but too tight sorry. Searches, rudeness, and paying full price for used goods crazy but in a pinch it’s only place near Gainesville. Still, to pay $50 for this is crazy, at most before lkq bought it would have been $10-15. They literally were trying to charge me $4ft for old speaker wire. They want to charge for every piece on the bezel and you can buy all together for $50 it was over $100 so had to unscrew everything, they did lend the screw driver or more ways then one. So if you wanna get screwed, come on down.
What an absolute disorganized mess, never have I been to a junkyard so Disorganized in my entire life. The only way this place makes any money is on their three dollar entrance fee because they damn sure don’t have any inventory. And what they do have for inventory is so picked over you’d be lucky to find a seatbelt buckle or a radiator cap let alone anything important
It was open on Saturday, plenty of parking, the cashier was friendly, it was easy to navigate the area, and the price for the needed part was great. Did require a $3 per person entry fee.
All employees refuse to help two old men trying to get a truck frame. I’m surprised we didn’t die of heat stroke. I asked for help a number of times and I was refused
You need more employees or employees that are willing to help your customers. I spent $1500 on a frame and I could not get one single person to lift the finger to help me.
I don’t think I’ll be returning to this yard and possibly any other LKQ yards if it’s all the same
black lady cashier is rude. Cashier 4948. Couldn’t understand what she was asking so she yelled. Then I said no to the warranty and she says “ok no coming back and arguing with us” in a rude tone. They also never pick up phone. Won’t be back. They were searching people’s bags like it’s a prison. One person went to their car to get something and they searched a bag/purse without their consent while they were gone. Also realized later that I was charged almost $4 for an old rusted cigarette lighter that was screwed onto a center console trim. Also Bought a rim and was charged ridiculous price for the bald tire attached to it. Wanted the other 3 rims but I’m paying full price for bald uneven tires with metal showing that will be removed.
Went to complete a "mock" vehicle inspection (photos and basic vehicle info) for an online class, but the people at the counter weren't bright enough to figure out what I was doing and denied me entry into the yard. If I claimed to have needed a part, they would have let me right in. I've sold two vehicles to this yard, and have purchased various parts over the years. Never again. Look elsewhere.
They closed the entry door at 427pm today. So i guess they need at least 33 minutes for last call to check out, NOT only 30 minutes to get to the exit door. They close at 427pm folks NOT 430pm like their business says they do. And i drove out there for nothing today.
Can't call for part availability? What I need isn't listed on website, I'm not gonna waste my time and/or fuel to find out you don't have what I need. A 30 second phone call could have made a sale. I. To the next one!
Went in to buy a rear axle for my truck. Paid to have them take it off. They said they had a few things to do in front of mine but that they would get to it. I asked when he thought that would be and he said it might not be today but we will call you. I said ok what about tomorrow? I really need to get that axle? He said we will call you. I went back the next morning to find out the status and I was willing to wait for it and it was then that I found out that the guys that pull the parts don't work on the weekend. That had plenty of chances to tell me that the day before and no one bothered to let me know. When I asked this time when I could expect to have it instead of them just telling me that it would be the next week the guy just said come around to this window and you can have your money back and he was extremely rude about it. Then....to top it off the woman that issued the refund said I told you yesterday that they don't pull parts on the weekend this woman never told me that....no one told me that...it was then that I realized her boss was standing behind he when she said that.....they are liars and they have no clue what they are doing...... I'll gladly drive to Jax or Orlando to a u pull it I don't care how long of a drive it it......this place used to be a great place to go...
I rarely leave reviews but this place…. It’s a shame really. They usually have a nice selection of vehicles, prices are so-so. But seriously….how can a company put a person in a position that interacts with customers with such appallingly bad people skills/customer service ability. PYP/LQK, I get it…it’s an auto salvaged yard but maybe sniff the cheese from time to time. Maybe a secret shopper occasionally to see what the customer is exposed to or something. Just saying…. I know it’ll never change, really looking forward to my next experience with the place.
Efficient. Works with lkq, sold older car minimal issues, gave us a fair price. Their service to pick your parts is quite popular. Lots of people going in to do it during our vist.

Uneducated staff at the window. I tried to teach them about what certain parts were based on the prices posted online. They became argumentative when I tried to help them. Other than the low quality staff at the window, it’s not a terrible place.
This place is hilarious. Staff is rude as hell but most importantly, I drove over an hour to get there before 4:30pm, which google states that's their business hours. In the past they told me that they stop accepting customers at 4:30 and everyone has to be out the yard by 5pm (That's how other PYP location operates as well, so I thought). The guy at the window states we are closed now. Mind you that the gates are very much still open. I arrived ten minutes before they close, and he stated that they close early now. So, someone is lying, either google or the company. I mentioned that it was poor customer service to LIE to customers about your business hours when google has it differently. If that is the case, then that has to be addressed and updated on google. The frontend was fully staffed, so I didn't think it was a staffing issue, however I wasted time and money, things that I can't get back. Look up at the times and google has them closing at 4:30pm, no other time.
I miss the old owners. This place is going to rip you off on pricing, it's like they forget these are junk cars, totaled cars, and useless cars. I can't have the bolts that come with the alternator? I mean what are yal going to do with the bolts now that i took the alternator? I didn't have enough money to buy the bolts separately, so they kept the frickin bolts seriously? Ripping ppl off here the new owners are greedy
They have a courteous staff. They have a wide variety of vehicles and also offer to pull you part for you or to go pull it yourself. It is $3.00 to get,at reasonable prices, and easy to find the vehicle you're looking for
Paid the best price for my 2008 Honda Civic,on top of that everyone was in a good mood.... smiles everywhere. April was training Frank on the process of buying vehicles who is new to the yard. He did a great job without any issues.Miss Angie has a great crew there and I missed a couple of people but they are good to deal with as well. This wasn't my first time here and I enjoy coming to this location.
Staff tried accusing us of stealing and wanted to charge for the bolts that go with the parts. Tried charging more than the parts cost brand new. Ocala has a better parts yard .
Came in had my bag checked as usual, but as i was leaving they stopped to check my bag again before i left (as usual) and claimed i had stolen a muffler silencer. Mind you this thing is about a foot long and chrome, had it in plain view when entering, only reason it was in my bag was because its my everyday bag that has my essentials in it and didn't bother taking it out. They confiscated, claimed they had never seen it in my bag to begin with, and said that's the end of it. I tried talking with the gentleman who checked my bag but he was "confident" that i didn't come in with it. This yard is not a bad place to get parts and i have been here many times, but this interaction was completely ridiculous. My advice is to come in with only the tools you need and to take a pic of everything you come in with. otherwise they might just claim they never saw you come in with it and steal it, just like they did with my silencer which they still have. :(
The brown hair manager was rude and they sold us four rims and tires for 400$. We didn't even make it out the gate and seen one rim was bent and welded and tire was slashed and she wouldn't give the money back or no help at all. We didn't even make it past the gate
First I thought it was a temporary thing- maybe the new ones just had not arrived yet?? But no. The management is apparently too cheap to provide more than about 5 barely operable wheelbarrows for the entire salvage yard!! You are unlikely to find one if you go there so good luck carrying your tools and pulled parts back to purchase them. TO THE MANAGEMENT: This is ridiculous and puts your own employees (who are quite nice) in the miserable position of having to act as if its normal when irritated customers complain.
Came in today and the employees were very nice; especially the older lady working the checkout. Such a nice change from the rude employees that had been there the last couple years. Prices are still too high for a you pull it, but the nice employees made a difference.
If your looking to salvage a vehicle with title this is your place! I called Ms Ann early Mon morning and she had my vehicle picked up that same day and the price was excellent. Fast and friendly service. Christmas is coming, get you some fast cash for your junk car!
This place use to be a great place with great prices. They charge a steep fee to be able to return the part almost the same price as the part. I just bought a part then checked the price of a brand new replacement and the prices were nearly the same. Don't waste your time or money here, they are ripping people off
I love this place, it's like my own personal theme park. Some people go to Busch Gardens to enjoy themselves, but I'd much rather go to LKQ and dig around for parts and see these old beauties sacrificing their wares upward in dignified martyrdom to keep trucks like mine running strong on the blacktop. I especially appreciate Savannah being a keynote member of this facility's team, as she is always very friendly and professional, even when handling those difficult customers (you know the type, their cat puked in their shoes that morning, so they feel the need to take it out on everybody else that day—she can handle this type with finesse & ease), and she has given me a great deal several times, whenever the condition of a used part was questionable, etc. She is a significant part of the reason why I continue to patronize this branch; I know that if she's working, I will receive great customer service and a friendly chat during checkout. She is a rare find in this day, where most are too glued to their phone to care about being friendly or helpful to customers. Keep up the great work, Savannah!
Great place to sell old cars that still run or don’t run but they need to bring Mike back he was a great guy and he did well in the office helping with everything I’m still looking for Mike idk where he is but for real they have great folks who work there and they take good care of u just respect them and you will get respect back.and if u ain't gonna be there 30 mins before closing time no use of even trying to get there. Savannah and Ms Ann are awesome employees and everyone else is as well don’t even get me going about Fred he’s my buddy great guy yall are lucky to have him.
LKQ Pick Your Part locations are super helpful and a great place to get used parts. This location has a pretty good selection of used vehicles from many manufacturers. Imports, Euros, and domestics, some older but not usually more than 20 years old.
Easy to get a quote to buy my car. Car was 30 years old; still running and in good shape. Just couldn't justify the cost of the repair needed compared to value. They gave me a good price for the car. But they were supposed to pick it up between 9 & 10:30am but didnt pick it up til after 2 pm. I found that kinda hypocritical since they threatened to have my car towed outside the yard if I didn't pick my check up in time....tho they already had a signed title. Sooo.....moral of the story----they will give you good money for your car but customer service is about 50/50 on polite/ jerkish.
