Does not provide prior service details for a vehicle which is a key factor when buying a used vehicle. Website is confusing when you prepay for 3 reports it still acts like it wants your credit card number for each. It's not clear how many reports you have left in your account.
You company said no accident or salvage report but checked with other company got accident and salvage report. Your report is not accurate. You need to refund me the one dollar you charge for noting.
Far as information was concerned it gave you the basics stuff that you can get off just typical databases I didn't see anything specific especially liens and title issues. Would not recommend

Very helpful customer service after I accidentally ordered a report on the same vehicle twice. I liked that the report included the black book values and details about the odometer readings that weren't in the Carfax report (indicating a possible rollback of the odometer).
It's always smart to research the vehicle you are considering. This one saved me from buying what i already knew was a plow truck but what I didn't know was it was from Niagara County NY. Those are hard miles.
I do wish there was more in the way of service history and recorded milage over time.

after purchasing a report and finding errors I called auto check to get them removed. A couple days later I bought a new report just to double check things, and clearvin resold me the same report I had already gotten a few days before. I know that my report was updated, because Carmax fixed their offer to me.

I clicked on the link and when it pulled up, the information, The first thing I seen was a big flag stating that this vehicle may have been damaged! And directly below that it said Stolen summary records found, DMV title records found. These people should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of people really just looking for honest information. I purchased my vehicle brand new off the lot in October 1923 and it has never had an insurance claim on it nor has it ever been stolen. How very sad. If you’re looking for honest information on a vehicle that you’re thinking about buying Please look to a different Website as this one is just looking to take your money By providing deceitful information.
Wouldn't hesitate to use again. Not all of the information on my vehicle was listed. I mentioned that and I had an email with a receipt for a refund the same day. Without me even asking. Amazing customer service.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS service! A LOT cheaper than the fox! If you only have one or two vehicles to check, you don't need to sign up for a monthly membership. The reports are extensive and informative!!!!
I expected a facsimile of the actual manufacturer's window sticker, but did not get that. I got a tabulated list of features, poorly organized, made to sort of look like a sticker but it's not. It seems to be no more info than you could get from the manufacturer's website. Feel ripped off.
The VIN I ran showed 0 accidents on a vehicle I was looking to purchase from a facebook market place app. Thankfully, another person ran a carfax report and it showed 2 accidents. The owner then verified it had been in two accidents under his ownership.
I finally found a place (here) where my VIN number matches the trim level I purchased. The same VIN number with my insurance carrier pulls up a Limited Edition rather than an Ultimate Calligraphy model which is what it really is. I’m not sure why or how to get this error fixed. If anyone knows, I would appreciate feedback.
I ran the vin report because I knew the vehicle was involved in an accident and wanted more details.
However the vin report came back clean with no accident. Another website did state it was involved in an accident.
I went with ClearVin with lower cost vin report. Well, lo and behold, you get what you pay for,
“Nothing!”
Purchased a ClearVin on a vehicle that indicated there were no records of title branding, junk or salvage records, etc., and the mileage appeared legitimate, so we bought the vehicle. After the purchase, we discovered indications the vehicle had been in a serious accident at some point and purchased a CarFax, and to our dismay, discovered that the vehicle had been salvaged over 20 years ago and the title was apparently "washed" undetected by the ClearVin search methods, but it was readily apparent on the CarFax site. I would never trust this site to provide accurate information, and upon reading their disclaimers, they admit their service can be based on unreliable sources. I learned an expensive lesson and will always stick with CarFax in the future.
Bought a vehicle on iaa auction. No keys, so I looked up clear vin, they said it had less than 42,000 miles. Bought the car, when I got it, title showed 138,000 miles. I was furiated when I got home, couldn't understand what happened, so I purchased a Carfax report, it showed 138,000 miles. You are doing yourself a very bad dead by trusting ClearVin. Carfax is much higher, but way more trustworthy.
Purchased 4 reports. Was able to use 1 and then unable to utilize the other 3 I purchased. When I put in my email to reset password it said my email did not exist in there system. Stay away from this scam! Spend the extra cash and get Car Fax !! This company is a joke!
Unless, I am not using the report correctly (I’m unfamiliar navigating site), I find it lagging way behind the CARFAX brand. The price is reasonable but the information is lacking.
EDIT: the more I use this service the more I understand it. I still understand the competition better but for the price and the # of vin checks you get then it is OK and the price is fair. I’m not seeing service records and not always the current # of owners etc. So all in all it’s a win especially on price, info a little lacking

Minimal value! I benchmarked their report's accuracy with 2 personal cars I own that I know had accidents from years ago. Both reports did not list the accidents for both cars.
To their credit they returned my money after reporting the discrepancy! I would look elsewhere!
Be careful. I put in the car's VIN in Google, it took me to the site and I bought the report. Only after I received it did I realize the VIN it displayed was not what I entered. I asked for a refund and they said no. Pay attention to what you're buying.
ClearVin gave me an excellent report on a 23 year old vehicle for a much better price than other sites offered. There were pictures of damage from an accident in 2017 with an estimated price for repairs as well as the dollar value of the vehicle. A picture of the odometer in 2017 showed 268,000 miles. The odometer now, in 2023 shows 139,000! I am very happy with the amount of information given. I will use this site in the future.
Great customer service- investigated and resolved a payment issue quickly. (turned out to be on the credit card side, not ClearVin side). Unbeatable price for what I needed (title history). Recommended!
I request a history report about my car. However, the price is high. I paid $15 almost. And the information I get is general information. I can find this information for free. I thought they going to give me a specific information they didn’t. I send an email to customer service they sent back to me the report again I explained the issue to them, they sent me same report for the second time I will not recommend it to anyone
Claimed they could find any window sticker for any car. I needed one so I entered the VIN. Claimed they found the window sticker and all it would take to see that window sticker was $8.99. So I entered my credit card information. Then I was informed they no longer provide window stickers!!!!!! I have not been charged so far........ but totally unprofessional.
