This annual service on my 2019 VW Tiguan was done expediently while I waited in comfort in the front room and had hot chocolate. They provide a detailed report of the work done , items checked and wear conditions at a very reasonable price. The family operated business , body shop included, is operated by family and employees of long time service to them, with qustions quickly answered and estimates for future worki provided. Had the very lucky pleasure of having to call AAA two days in a row for my car not starting, the second time getting dispatched to Route 83. It is cold, late, dark, and far too close to the holidays for this - but Paul still showed up with a kind/calming presence (and voice!) that was so helpful during this stressful situation. He delivered my car safely and made me feel like it was in the right hands. Thank you!

When we broke down while passing Tolland, CT, we were in a desperate situation (far, far, far from home). Kevin and Lisa and their crew came to our rescue. The repairs were extensive. They helped tow me to safety and gave me a safe place to receive incredible repairs! They repaired broken values and everything that was associated with major engine work. I use Rt83 for Fluid film touch ups every year on my internal combustion vehicles to keep the Oxide Demon (rust) away. They do a great job. They communicate clearly to get your vehicle scheduled and get the job done in under an hour. They take care to get all of the voids and crevices that could develop rust from road salt. The pricing is very fair and favors return business. Most cars are disposable these days. But for the few that are worth owning long-term, get them into rt83 for fluid film rust prevention every year. You won’t regret it, and your mechanic will appreciate not having to fight corroded fasteners too!

I brought my car, a Scion here after hitting a large deer. From start to finish everybody was so helpful, pleasant and professional and kept me up to date with the status. The work was absolutely flawless and they did a phenominal job with the bodywork. This is the second time my family has had bodywork done here and I highly recommend them!

Negative Stars if I Could - Avoid Route 83 Garage at All Costs ​I am writing this review after a completely unprofessional and unacceptable experience with a technician dispatched by AAA. ​I called AAA for a truck lockout, and they sent Route 83 Garage as the closest provider. The service was immediately problematic. The technician took 40 minutes to arrive—and I actually watched his truck drive past my location twice before finally stopping. ​When the technician finally approached, he immediately complained that he was just getting off an 18+ hour shift, stating I was his "final stop." While I sympathized with his long hours, this exhaustion clearly led to frustration and incompetence on the job. ​As he worked on my truck, I could see his frustration growing. I tried to be helpful by offering guidance, only for him to accuse me of being a jerk. His attempts to open the door failed, and he then threw the tool at me, saying, "Here, you try." I responded that it wasn't my job, as I had called for professional assistance. ​The situation ended abruptly when he gave up entirely. He told me I should have called AAA to send someone to help me—a baffling statement since I did call AAA, and they sent him. When I asked him what I should do, questioning if we were just going to leave my truck, he simply replied "yes" and drove away, leaving me completely stranded. ​This level of service is appalling. Route 83 Garage is highly unprofessional and will abandon you on the side of the road because their employee is too exhausted and frustrated to complete the basic job they were sent for. Avoid this company at all costs.

I come in from Collinsville, Rustproofing on 2 vehicles...great service and reasonable prices..A 2011 with no rust anywhere yet....

About a year ago, I purchased a used truck for household chores like leaf removal and adding mulch. Unfortunately , the truck came with some major issues. Kevin installed a rebuilt motor, and there were additional problems that were harder to diagnose- such as corroded wire connectors. Since the individual replacement was not available unless you purchased the entire unit,Kevin took the time to carefully disassemble and clean them , which cleared up the problem and saved hundreds of dollars. Kevin truly enjoys a challenge and won’t stop until he finds a solution I am very satisfied with Rt 83 Auto Center their level of service is something you rarely see anymore.

I was very happy with the service, my car was diagnosed and I didn't have to wait long for an appointment. Diane in the office was efficient, and pleasant to deal with. I will bring my car to Route 83 Auto Center again.

I brought my BMW X3 in for rear coils and shocks. Thought I would give them a shot at my business. Got vehicle back and the steering wheel way off and not centered. Was centered when brought in. Called and spoke with Diane and said we didn't do anything with steering. Talked to owner and said make an appointment for next week. Very disappointed that they didn't realize that after installation you need 4 wheel alignment plus should of had me come in right away. Since then I've had more noises coming from the rear of my car. Spent 1k for repair. Taking it to another shop to see what's wrong. Didn't have noises before. Don't feel they are qualified for certain work. Also they did not reconnect the 12v cable to rear outlet. I fixed myself.

Have been doing business with Route 83 for a number of years now. Lisa, Diane, Kevin and all the employees are always courteous and helpful for anything I need with my vehicle. The vehicle check for everything (tires, brakes, etc) with every oil change gives me reassurance that everything is in great working order. Thanks for all you do!!!

Austin was polite and professional. It was a short wait for the tow. I would definitely recommend RT83 for any towing needs .

Kevin and Lisa are always so nice, they were able to get us in right away and had my son back up and running. Very reasonable also. They are a nice and pleasant family owned business, if you're not satisfied they will make things right. In this world of modern vehicles and everyone being in the constant go they understand and are very knowledgeable.

I had a small rust area on the fender of my 2014 Nissan Frontier. Dropped it off as scheduled and the truck was finished when promomised. The result is spectacular. The staff here are unexpectedly professional. Other company's should learn their methods! I highly recommend them. Thank you Route 83 Auto Center.

As always, the check engine light on the truck came on two days before leaving on a trip. Called and spoke with Diane who is the greatest service contact person ever. They were able to squeeze me in and do a diagnostic check on my vehicle. Took care of the vehicle and we were able to take care of the billing over the phone. They locked the keys in the truck and I was able to pick it up on my way home. They are one of the greatest local shops I have ever dealt with. Highly recommended.

I received a tow from Route 83 Auto. Austin (tow manager) and Adam (driver) were both professional, communicated clearly, and arrived as promised. Additionally, Adam took great care of my vehicle. Thank you both. I will definitely keep you in mind should another need arise.

At 6 pm tonight, one of your operators was attempting to unlock a car for a group of teens atvthe Big Y lot in Ellington. He was poorly treated by someone in the lot getting impatient as she was blocked in. All she needed to do was wait 2 lousy minutes. Unlocking a car with a slim jim takes alot of "feel" and you should not interupt the operator. She was rude, I yelled at her and your driver handled her rudeness with class and professionalism. Tow truck operators are at our beck and call for when WE screw up (lock outs, accIdents) they deserve our respect. Know your driver was extremely professional. I would have tipped him if he was unlocking my vehicle.

This place will disappoint you. Office staff are rude especially Diane. If you question anything about what they are saying or charging about your vehicle they get defensive along with rude. My final straw with this company was when I was trying to get Extended warranty work done to my vehicle. They tried to charge me a $1000 out-of-pocket. The second I questioned it They get upset They become rude. And at last but not least they will tell you just come pick up your car and we don't want your business anymore. I'm so glad they said that to me because I went down the street Had the exact same job done under my warranty With no money out-of-pocket. Thanks for kicking me out Diane you just save me a $1000 LOL

Have been going here the past 5 years. Throughout the years I've had good experiences and bad experiences. But the bad experiences are just getting tiresome and are costing me extra money. The office lady Diane comes across really rude sometimes. I'll no longer be going here which is disappointing I have to look around for another place I was hoping this place would be what I was hoping for. Update. I originally left three stars however in response to their reply I feel as though a one star is more sufficient considering they have no care or interest and responding to make the situation better they just want to respond in a way to make themselves look better. Considering that the situation they brought attention to in their reply actually had nothing to do with any of my complaints.

Yesterday we needed a tow due to an alignment issue with my truck. The young man who came to tow my truck was very kind and informative. Definitely did a great job of easing my mind on the process. He brought my truck and I to the shop of my choice, and offered to stay until my ride home arrived (for safety). I declined, but appreciated. All in all it was a great experience, considering the circumstances. He did a great job diagnosing the problem on the fly. I would definitely recommend this shop for any repairs and towing services

AAA sent them to tow my car. This is how it arrived at the dealership servicing my car. Went through AAA mediation. Rt 83 auto center said they didnt do it and would not pay for a new set of tires. Would give no stars but google will not let me.
