The experience here, as opposed to another firestone was great. They were able to fix a problem a fire stone in Long Island Levittown had overlooked at no charge. The staff were friendly, empathetic and understanding.
Fraud Alert! FTC section 5 violated. I had a tire with 1500 miles on it. With a screw in the middle tread pattern. It should have been patched, well away from the sidewalls. But they choose to replace with a brand new Firestone tire. After asking for the tire back. They lied about the whole experience. While pointing out fraud, with tire in hand. They offered to waste more my time on a Friday. I said; no. You should have completed the work correctly, the first time. I would recommend avoiding this FireStone.
All the people there are great and ready to accommodate you. Everything was done in good time and the communication what right on. This is my go-to place for both or our cars
Very weird shop I will say. I went in for a broken stem valve on my truck. They said they did not feel comfortable enough working on my truck because it was rusty mind you my truck is 18 years old. I’m aware of minor rust. But they seemed comfortable enough to rip the stem valve and leave my truck on a flat tire After that, they told me they would call the cops on me if I left the driveway of their shop…. I ended up going in for a repair and ended up, leaving with the cops called on me. I plan on going back and getting some answers, Unprofessional as well I heard the conversations they were having in the garage all the way from the reception desk. They were pretty much laughing at my situation. Not every car that shows up to the shop is going to be a brand new car,
Came in tonight to get an oil change for my rental car, showed up kinda last minute. Nick made me feel welcome and didn't make me feel like a bother, and went above and beyond to get my approval through and took good care of me. These gentlemen provided an exceptional experience.
My husband and I went to Firestone for our oil change and they did a phenomenal job! They were willing to work around our schedule and make sure that we got taken care of. Kind and friendly staff and very clean business area. They also had the best price out of multiple places that we had called.
Great place I've been here before James is awesome he got me in quickly to fix a tire plug I would recommend buying their tires which I have for probably about 10 years they even know what they're doing. I am in the transportation business over 30 years. I have to have reliable Vehicles especially tires. I can’t remember his name, nice guy with blue eyes, I believe it was Jon. But he was super helpful. I’m a single mom of 3 trying to get by and his honesty and helpful tips meant so much to me. Customer service is more than just trying to sell a product, it’s about helping people and he most definitely did!
I used to have all my car maintenance done at Firestone in years past, but for some reason because I moved just got away from using them. Work was always done at a timely fashion and never had to return because "something wasn't done right". Good value for your money, especially during these times. ThNks for advising to get the lifetime alignment special. Definitely will come in handy, especially driving on these roads in Conneticut!
They are highly professional mechanics! I had three emergency warnings in my car late in the afternoon and John and Rich took care of it and explained to me what went wrong patiently so I can go home care-free. I highly recommend this store for any sort of car diagnostic and repair ! They saved my day!

I was very happy with this Firestone location. I was able to make an appointment the same day I called. The store was easy to find. They fixed my tire with a short wait and at a very reasonable price.
Was waiting for an oil change for 40 minutes. Had an appointment and 40 minutes went by and my car was still not being worked on. The staff is good, been going there for many years. Seemed like they were swamped and doing their best to take care of all their customers.
As an employee was driving my car out of the bay, I watched him do a four point turn without stopping once. Just slamming my car into reverse and drive while it was still moving and hitting the gas. Can’t imagine why someone who doesn’t know how to even drive an automatic is in charge of driving customer cars, although I imagine they just don’t care. Not usually a big complainer but this is ridiculous. Will not be coming back.
DO NOT GET TIRES FROM THIS PLACE!! BIGGEST SCAM EVER! I was quoted at $444.00 for four tires. They were $85 a piece. When my girlfriend got the tires they turned out to be $130 a piece and the total price ended up being $950. How does this even happen?! Do not go to this place save your money from this scam
Not on time, bad job, my steering wheel was crooked after paying for four tires and a lifetime alignment. Not recommended.
Follow up: the manager was very accommodating, called me and apologized for the error, fixed it as a priority on my follow up visit and refunded the cost of alignment.
Never again the people who work there are crooks I got charged the highest price for an alternator repair. First the dude Rick was adamant that I did the credit card application for a discount like they did to me last time. I think I got swindled. The price went from $800 to a little less than $700 because I said I was going to leave . But honestly i believe I got taken advantage of. I think that job was cheaper than what I got charged
Everyone I dealt with was friendly and very professional. They provided an estimate, kept me updated on progress, and even stuck to their estimate when some parts ended up being more expensive than anticipated. I had recently lost 'my guy' who had worked on my cars for years, and I was concerned about finding a shop I could trust. I think that the Firestone on Truman Street is that shop.
My father-in-law was scammed out of $400 by this establishment. He brought his car in because the engine light was on. Despite the fact that a qualified mechanic had already replaced the O2 sensor just days prior, this shop fraudulently diagnosed and charged him to replace the same part again.
They cleared the code, took his money, and within moments of him driving out of the parking space, the engine light immediately blazed back on. They pocketed the $400 for an unnecessary, unperformed (or at best, pointless) repair and failed completely to fix the actual issue.
This is a clear-cut case of deceptive, dishonest business practice. They charged a premium price, offered zero value, and demonstrated a complete lack of integrity. DO NOT TRUST THEM with your vehicle or your money. They are nothing more than a scam operation designed to take advantage of customers.
Getting my emissions test for an out of state registration transfer was so quick and painless at Firestone New London! Rich was very kind and personable, he made the process so easy. I recommend this place to anyone!
I had a decent-ish first time experience at Firestone. Sales manager saved the day from a new guy who just wanted to push sales to push them and give out incorrect information. I was in desperate need of a tire and the sales manager made it happen for me at the end of the day after an online mixup. I appreciated that a lot. Overpriced compared to smaller joints or Walmart, but that's what you get for going to Firestone. Worth paying the extra money for him to get me tires as soon as he did. The sales manager was lovely and was full of knowledge, wish I had started my experience with him instead. Will I be back? I'm not sure.. trust was definitely lost from the new guy. but I appreciated the help I was given after the fact and that they were willing to accommodate me.
We had just moved back to CT from having been in FL for 3.5 years. I needed all season tires on my wife's car. I had originally gone to a tire dealer closer to my home. Seeing this was my wife's car I thought it would be easier on her for any future service. I walked in and stood at the counter for 5 minutes never even being acknowledged like "I will be with you in a few minutes". This was not someplace I want to do business with. I left. Having done business with them once before I drove the extra distance to Firestone in New London. I walked in, was immediately greeted in a warm friendly tone. What a difference!!! Definitely a place I want to do business with. Mark gave me pricing, ordered one more tire (4 were needed) and scheduled me for the next day. Received a call the next day when the care was ready. I am very happy with Firestone in New London. The few extra miles in worth the drive. Going forward this will be the ONLY place I go for tires for both my car and my wife's car!! They are a pleasure to do business with.
My new-ish car suddenly had a low tire pressure alert. 6:45pm at night and my daughter was scared and crying. I called and Rich said I could come by right before they closed. He quickly checked the pressures and refilled the tires - and saved the night! Great service!!
Took my truck in for some work and the team at this Firestone are polite, professional and know what they're doing. Would recommend most certainly. Service manager Rich is an awesome man, very reasonable and extremely helpful. Mark was very pleasant and helpful from the first phone call to getting the truck taken in. I have been coming to Firestone in New London since I moved back to CT 2 years ago. They have done a great job every time! Rich, who is at the front desk, is thorough, a clear communicator and also has been very helpful when I have had other car issues in suggesting solutions that fit with my timing and budget.
I recently came for an oil change, but was also having a window issue that they were able to diagnose and fix in about 15 minutes.

I have been dealing with this particular firestone because of guys that work there are very nice and helpful. I had gone in to make a credit card payment my daughter called frantic because her tire popped just up the street from there. When I looked at my daughter's tire that popped there was something stuck in the hole mind you it was a large hole and slice down the side of the tire we tried getting it out we tried getting it out but failed. I asked rich if he could possible help me help my daughter and explained the situation. Rich actually walked to where the car was to look at the tire drove it carefully to the shop and personally worked on it himself.my daughter and I were walking to my car when he wanted us to see what caused such a large blow out it was a large pair of wire cutters and he was pushing the rubber up on the handle that rubber is what we saw in the hole. My daughter bought these tires when she purchased her vehicle less than a year ago and Town Fair Tire is who put those tires on at the time of purchase. She has been driving this vehicle since with those wire cutters in her tire. Thank god she didn't have a blow out before now on a highway or anywhere doing the speed limit it could have killed her or an innocent driver of another car. Im glad if it was going to happen it did so right next to Firestone and Rich was working he is such a wonderful person and Firestone is lucky to have him. Thank You
Came in for emission testing. Place very Clean. Was waited on right away although I came super early in the morning . Sat in the waiting room and looked around at tires. Was there maybe half hour. You have to pay cash for emission testing but was told if i sign up for their credit card approved or not it would be free. So I signed up and left. The man who waited on me was pleasant.
