The employees at the Montville transfer station have always been very helpful and are always willing to answer any questions. They are a valuable asset to the town of Montville. They are very diligent about recycling and make every effort to save any material the town can profit from. As with any job that requires public interaction , i'm sure they encounter unreasonable individuals. I have witnessed this in person and have been impressed by their professionalism. Great job.
I go here often and have never encountered a rude employee. They have all always been kind, respectful and helpful. They do yell from time to time because they work around heavy machinery and they need to be heard. I'm sure that it was nothing personal to the person who left the one star review. I've only met good people here that are very helpful.
I came here because this was the only transfer station open on a Sunday. Unfortunately, only residents of Montville can use this transfer station, which I am not. While I understand this and made no complaint, the employee was incredibly rude. I drove through to the exit and parked (still on the premises) so I could use GPS to double-check that there were no other dumps open. After approximately thirty seconds, said rude employee came over to yell at me to leave stating that he was closing shortly. I am not exaggerating when I say that he yelled. I explained that I just needed a couple more minutes to figure out where I was going and that I wasn't in anyone's way. Again, he yelled that I already took a couple of minutes and had to leave. We went back and forth for a minute longer. He walked away, I set up my GPS to leave and got out of there! I'm sure the station itself is fine. It looked to be well set up and organized. However, I need to put up a negative review due to this mans behavior. It was unnecessary and left me feeling bitter. Bitter enough to write a Google review that will probably never be seen. I hope he has a better day.
