Called on a part, said it was available. Come down 2 hours after and they scrapped the car before I can get the part I called for. Waste of time . Simple courtesy would have been great.
This is a great garage to have work done on your car. All the employees are very courteous, professional & ready to answer any questions you might have.
The owner of the company cares about how satisfied & happy you are with the work they did. He always kept me informed on how the car is doing. I would highly recommend this garage for all your car needs. If my car has a problem I would definitely use this garage. You will not be sorry.
This company is the best! If I could give 10 stars I would! I sold them my Honda after I crashed and when a lousy tow company wanted to screw me over $500 for storage fees Waterbury Auto Salvage gave me extra cash so I could at least had something in my pocket after paying those storage fees from the other company. If you sell you car to anyone for parts please chose Waterbury!!! The person that answers the phone gets straight to the point and that’s what I loved most about this company! Very satisfied with them 😊
Straight scumbags sell you stuff that's broken go to put it in and notice call them and let them kno they are like we'll we didn't break it don't wanna give you a refund or another part save your time and money the second time happend in this place never again
I went to get a part for my car here They told me it would take 15 minutes to remove the part off the car in they're yard I waited over an hour and they didn't remove the part very bad service and over priced parts ...... why would I lie no one even said I’m sorry it’s taking so long or anything
I was definitely there sat in your store for over an hour while your guys talked ate pizza never bothered to say " hey it'll be a few more minutes " or whatever....it's not a random negative review
Took longer then expected to get my used engine. They claimed it was because the one that was to be delivered had some holes in it, so I thought it was nice of them to wait for a replacement to come in for me even though they never contacted me to inform me of what was going on. I found out myself by calling to see what was up. Then when I paid my mechanic to put in the used engine that I bought from this place... It was bad. And yes it did come with a warranty but I would have to pay my mechanic all over again to remove the engine and reinstall the new one again and I couldn't afford to do that so I just got fed up and junked it.

Bought an Infiniti engine from this place and it threw a rod within 2 weeks of me driving the car. I informed this place and He(Tim) said he’ll try to find an engine by Friday(I called on Monday) if not then I’ll get a refund when the engine is retrieved, I opted for waiting till Friday and was patient. Came with a solution of just getting the refund. Reasonable guys here but pretty annoyed about the engine going so soon.
Not helpful at all iam reading all these reviews and not one bad thing was said I went there for them to buy a car I had the gentleman said he would call me the next day , well the next day came no call no show I waited all day that's ok because that night I found someone else and he gave me 200 more then asking
After speaking with one of my most discerning Clients, she disclosed that she had searched everywhere for an auto part for her collectible Thunderbird. She even called the manufacturer and they could not help her but when I secretly called Waterbury Auto Salvage for her, not only were they extremely polite and patient in hearing the dilemma, they were able to not only locate it but actually had it shipped and received within 24 hours!!! My Client was absolutely delighted with the surprise and could not be more ecstatic with receiving it which makes me extremely happy! In a world where customer service and only the very best will do, I highly applaud Waterbury Auto Salvage, for once again, saving the day!!! A+++ all the way!!

Sadly the reviews are true. I decided to ignore and wanted to buy parts but I realized how rude and unprofessional this place was. Go somewhere else. I decided to purchase more expensive parts elsewhere with better customer service. This place has no interest in dealing with customers. They don’t hold promises.
Terrible customer service, very rude and unprofessional. No courtesy at all. I had been in touch several times about the condition of several parts and it was clear they wanted the money and wouldn’t give me a clear description/pictures. The person I was on the line with ended the call abruptly after I questioned the condition of the parts and seemed very annoyed. His response was “the parts are off... that’s it buddy!” I have dealt with many salvage yards and this seems to be a common theme. It would be nice if there was one that was professional... they are making a bad name for themselves. Read the reviews!!!
The worst scarp yard I have ever dealt with. I could put a 20 paragraph review of every way they have screwed up since I first called them last Friday (today is Monday), but the short and long of it is that they told me they had the part I need when I first called them, on Friday morning.
They told me they would call me right back when they removed the part. They did not call back for the rest of business day on Friday. I talked to them Saturday, first thing in the AM, they say "We'll have the part delivered today to your mechanic." They didn't deliver the part. I call them today (Monday) to see when they will deliver it and the guys says "I'll let you know tomorrow (Tuesday) IF we can even pull the part for you". Huh?
I'm not sure how they stay in business seeing as how they're notoriously bad at what they do. But I have a few guesses on what they may do to stay afloat.
If you're thinking about doing business with them, don't. Take a second to notice that all the bad Google reviews are very detailed in how awful this company is but all the 5 Star reviews reviews don't have anything written under them--obviously fake/astro-turfed. Check their Yelp-- all 1-star reviews (20+ of them). I cancelled my order with them, but they're so shady, I regret giving my credit card over the phone. I'll be watching my bank account very closely for the near future. These guys are a joke. If you gave this business to 5 middle school children I think they could run it better. I only give one star because I can't give fewer.
This place sells parts that are broken or defective and don’t work properly. My boyfriend bought a motor from them that was messed up and they wouldn’t give his money back or exchange the motor even with a 90 day warranty. I will not go here again and send everyone you care about in the opposite direction, so you aren’t taken advantage of as well.
DO NOT EVER CALL FOR SALVAGE. There is one star here for the employee with whom I spoke with last night who was informative and pleasant and that is the ONLY reason. As stated, I called last night and was given a quote for picking up 2 salvage vehicles approx. 8 miles away. Gentleman was very pleasant and I was told they would take them and given a price of $175 for each. I asked if they would pick up and was told yes. I was then told to make sure I had the titles for both vehicles for when they arrived to pick them up. I said okay, let me be sure that I do and after work, went home to check. I found both titles, and called back a few moments ago to schedule pick up. This morning a very unpleasant and rude gentleman by the name of "Peter" answered the phone and bluntly states "I don't want them. I am not taking them" Sorry not sorry basically. I can appreciate that possibility that the employee i spoke with yesterday authorized something "Pete" clearly didn't approve of HOWEVER... BAD BUSINESS to make the customer feel like they did something wrong in this situation, not to mention starting off the conversation by telling them that they "didn't call here" in the first place. My phone log begs to differ. Bottom line = untrustworthy / get whatever they say in writing.
Most irresponsible place! We bought two ENGINES- one for my moms car and one for me- my moms engine was 500 dolllars no labor guarantee- turned out a bad and ended paying mechanic more! My engine was delivered late and was the wrong one- waste of peoples time and money.
The guys at Waterbury Salvage were extremely helpful and very fair in their prices. Nice guys with good sense of humor. I will go there first from now on. Thanks guys.
Bought an engine recently from here. When it got delivered my mechanic told me they litterally ripped the thing out opposed to removing it properly. Cut all the hoses and lines making the installation cost me hundreds more than anticipated. Paid top dollar for a hack job. I won't be going back there and I don't recommend you do either. Very disappointed.
My experience at Waterbury Auto Salvage was the worst, I wouldn't recommend anybody to go there even if it was the last auto salvage place in the planet and the near universe. they are as shady as it gets. If you have the misfortune of going there I would recommend you to double, triple quadruple, check any VIN number and reference number possible!
Pay for the part at 10 am and is 4 pm still waiting...if they don't have the part out don't waste your day go somewhere else. Once they got your money you are at their mercy they just make you wait . In some occasions to the next day
It's was a great experience for me being a woman walking into a world I'm not to familiar with but the part specialist was very helpful .thank u . great place for your auto needs... 5 stars
