I would give 10 stars if I could. After an accident when our car was totaled, Teresa was a godsend and helped guide us through what we needed to do and expect. She explained everything and then stayed in touch after our accident to check in on us and help us gather our items from our car. I am so grateful for what she did for us and want to recognize how she went above and beyond to help. She is a true professional. Thank you, Teresa!

Absolutely ridiculous, they tow my 67 year-old father vehicle, which it was registered and insured just because it was out of state plate, and also had a sticker on the window stating that vehicle has full permission to be parked there, but no they still had to tow it just because they hungry for money, I highly do not recommend this people to do business with,, very bad experience!

Towed my car @ 10:30 pm , with my hood and all my doors open because I was having trouble with the car. Was inside trying to feed my kids and because it was unlocked, my alarm didn’t go off.
Almost every private parking lot I have seen, that has a contract, usually has clear signage at the entrance, with the company name, number and rules.
It may be me, but I believe whenever they are feeling “broke”, they gear up and patrol, looking to catch someone, that’s uninformed about this company reckless, and aggressive behavior.
Not only that, you are required to pay in cash, which makes no sense for a “legitimate” business not to accept card payments.

This company has been reported to the BBB. Numerous times they have been witnessed racing down I-84 running illegal blue lights used primarily by volunteer firefighters. They’ve also been witnessed hooking up to peoples vehicles with the driver still in them.

I got up this morning to go to work like I have been doing for years, I turned my car on and put it next to my other car. I went back in the house to grab what I needed for the day, and by the time I made it back out my car was gone. I called the Torrington PD and let them know my cad was gone. The officer came and said your car was towed by Waterbury towing, they are right down the street. I called the phone number, the woman who answered seemed like she was on drugs, incoherent couldn’t understand her, and at times it sounded like she was falling asleep! I finally get her to understand I am going to pick up the car and when I get there the guy who towed my car has an attitude. He admitted that the car was running when he picked it up and took off with it. This company is unprofessional and go after those that are less fortunate. Beware Torrington Residents!!!

My Boyfriends car was stolen this morning Waterbury Police Department located the vehicle and called Waterbury towing & recovery and I can honestly say we greatly appreciate them! From the time we got in contact with Matt we were relieved! After thinking it wouldn’t be found to now thinking it was gonna be a hassle to get the vehicle but to our luck it was the complete opposite! Matt was very helpful! He came to meet us after they were officially closed and made it very easy to take our car! He showed compassion and understanding but most of all was respectful and kind! The absolute worst company I’ve had to deal with.. I came to gather some documentation of a vehicle for tax purposes.. the lady in the front tells me she can’t give me any information because some guy isn’t there.. the guy she was talking about was in the back room telling her that’s to much work and he’s not going to do it… she then comes back to me to me it’s his birthday and he’s not here…. Also let’s not forget to mention The place smells like an ashtray
The worse towing company in the Waterbury area. Be aware before you call them look around there is alot of options around. Had my father in law car towed from his building even tho his a resident, dragged the car sideways probably damaging steering parts, then when my wife and my father in law went to pick up the car the owner's son was very unprofessional and rude to the point my wife said he pointed at her with his index finger inches from her face after my wife demanded to just inspect the car due to the rigged way the car was towed out the parking spot and screamed at her that he did not do such thing and followed to point at her to the point my wife felt threatened..that is very coward I know if it was a man he was dealing with it would have never went down like that.. please be careful and aware the many negative reviews is not a coincidence..ship around there is alot more towing companies around and save your self from a very bad experience.
Very rude ! They tow my car and the guy talked to me was rude and hang up when i was trying to wrote down the price. I got to reach someone else , and she is nice, she told me the price will be 272 $ and when i went to get it the guy who was there charged me 333$ and when i told him that s not the pricen i was told , he left me and go.
I’m very grateful I got the chance to deal with Teresa! After reading reviews and being hesitant to come… when we spoke I was sure to be sincere, humble, and speakke with humility and in return she was the sweetest lady she could be. I really apreciare her working with me and treating me like a human… that’s why I gave 5 starts.. I hope for success in the business and more people get such a pleasant experience as I did.
My car was broken down on route 8 today. Matthew and Teresa arrived *extremely* fast and were amazingly professional, efficient, kind and friendly. Many tow places will make you wait 2 or 3 hours and you’ll get some cranky unfriendly guy who charges you twice as much as this company does. I am so grateful and happy to Matt and Teresa, and I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone.

I called this location multiple times to get information on what to do . EACH time I was INFORMED that I would be getting a call back . Did I get a call back ? No . Then I called once more to speak to a higher up , they sent me to a voicemail. I then had to call once more , OBVIOUSLY upset about my STOLEN property. And was greeted by a very irate and mean Matthew. Who hung up on me. So YES I had to have other people call because didn't even ha e the decency to give his name. He then gave information to other people yet AGAIN with an additive. I don't care how busy ur day is . U don't speak that way to customers. The only person who spoke to me like a human being was Theresa. Matthew should not be in any form of customer service I STAND by my previous statement. Although my car was towed, I had a great experience at Waterbury Towing & Recovery. Matt addressed my questions and concerns; his staff was professional and patient. They even went above and beyond and contacted management regarding our concerns. The result and experience with the towing agency were professional and well-handled.
Do not use these people. During a very stressful snowstorm, me and my family had called this trucking service to get a tow after waiting a while, which was expected driver pulled up and after three minutes he pulled off. We were extremely confused as to what was going on so we decided to call the office to find out that they decided to cancel our service because their driving claimed we were acting erratic, even though we had not gotten out of our car or even made contact with the tow truck. I tried to explain to the owner that I was not acting erratic that I’ve never needed to call tow truck so I didn’t know that me turning my wheel to the left to straighten out my car would cause them to cancel my service and leave me and my kids stranded in the middle of the road With chaos piling up behind us . They didn’t even have the decency to call and let us know that they would not be serving us due to the fact that I had straightened out my wheel. They just took off with no explanation and left us here. Not only is it a blizzard outside but they left me stranded here with my children with no explanation. Thankfully A different tow truck was able to come immediately to help me and my family. COTES towing is the way to go!

Their drivers are very unprofessional. Driver left us stranded, Driver pulled up, backed up into my car, and then took off without even the decency to tell us where he was going or why he was leaving , left us in the middle of the road, stuck , causing chaos by the traffic behind us. Owner did not care as we tried to explain what his driver did. Owner became extremely rude and unprofessional. These people have zero empathy. It’s always a stressful situation when you have to call a tow truck they only Whatever money they can get they have terrible reviews. Terrible recommendations. After being stuck in a snowstorm with no choice to leave my house due to my job, I called this towing trunk company while I was in a panic because I did not know what to do and me being stuck was causing chaos and traffic behind me. I waited a while for this truck to pull up. . After seeing the guy get here, I had my wheel pointed all the way to the right, and as he pulled up without even putting my car into drive, keeping it in park, I moved my steering wheel to the left to line it up with the tow truck mind you I’ve never called A tow truck in my life. All of a sudden the guy just pulled off without saying a thing to me so I called the company back, thinking that the guy must not have seen me. They then proceeded to tell me we are canceling this we are not gonna help you, because they driving said “i was acting erratic” when the Truck pulled up. This was baffling because I didn’t even have a single conversation with the guy he didn’t get out of his car and I did not Get out of mine, so basically The company called me back, telling me they would not help me and left me here without saying A SINGLE word as to why they decide to cancel my service and leave me stranded in the middle of the snowstorm on this road. Mind you, my children are in the car! So unprofessional, considering there was no communication as to why they drove off and after I’ve been waiting in a panic in my car with my kids that they just decided to drive off without even the decency to roll down the window and say sorry won't Help you. I’ve never needed to call a tow truck, so I had no idea that me turning my wheel would cause them to refuse service (I was not hooked onto the truck. The driver was turning around, and I was simply trying to straighten out my wheel, so it wasn’t pointing towards a ditch.). And for the driver to say I was acting erratic, is also baffling because I didn’t even see what this guy looked like. Luckily, I was able to contact a different towing company in town and explain to them what had just happened and he was able to put me on priority and come help me immediately. And I just want to say as a customer who really needed the service at the time the panic I was in, I can’t believe the way I was treated. My Car was towed today October 6th illegally. The claim the car was in a handicap parking spot and it was not. I have pics and video to prove it. I am here now and they are prolonging the situation because they seen it was a new car and just decided to take it. With my permit sticker on and not in handicap they should’ve never towed my vehicle. In the picture below you can see that I am not in a handicap stop and other cars was in handicap spots in the other pictures. If I could rate it a zero I would.

WORST COMPANY EVER! THIS IDIOT TOWED MY CAR FROM THE PROERTY WHERE I LIVE despite the resident sticker in plain sight in the windshield of the car. He is a thief exploiting the contract with the property owner to gain access to steal $230. per tow from its residents. The idiot stated, I doubled parked??? I would never do that and this is what he tries to use to justify towing my car. When I spoke with him on the phone he was RUDE and hung up on me. After I retrieved my car he had let 10-15 pounds of air out of each of my recently purchased new tires. I had to have my car serviced because it did not feel right when I got on the 84 to go to work. Immediately I went to Monroe who inspected my tires and told me each tire was EXTREMELY low on air. But my new tires are just 2-3 weeks old and up unto this bogus tow I had no concern/s. This idiot intentionally messed with my car after dragging it with his tow. And then all he only accepts cash...

I would like to recommend this company to whoever is in need of people who care. I found myself in a conundrum, where I was left in the corner. SEAN was polite and understanding and went to bat for me, he solved a 2 week on going issue that I had in 30 minutes. He understood my situation and wanted to ease the pressure that was put on me. Listen! These days it’s rare to have people care about your circumstances as if though they are not living in the same world as you, but SEAN treated my situation as if though it was his own! Considering the extreme lack in personal and professional care that we face today, trust that honesty, respect and kindness will make good people do what it takes. My car broke down and I parked it on private property. The owner of the property couldn't allow me to leave it there any longer. My 18 yr old daughter went there to stay with the car until my tow company came. As requested by the property owner this company towed my car yesterday at 3:30 pm. I went today at 9 am to have my legal car towed out. I called when I got there. They were very unprofessional and very angry on the phone . I hung up and called the Waterbury police. They told me I can't get my car unless I cancelled the police call. We told them we did. I didn't cancel the call. The police arrived before the employee of this company who said if I didn't cancel the call I couldn't get my car. His face was priceless when he showed up and the police were there. He was so uncooperative with police a supervisor was called in. They tried to illegally charge me for two days impound when my car wasn't even there 24 hours. Needless to say I was charged what I supposed to be charged.. the officers nor myself were allowing that. I wouldn't recommend this company at all very poor manners and unprofessional.
After a long day at work the last thing I needed was to get locked out of my vehicle at midnight in a not-so-friendly area. I decided to call up Waterbury Towing and could not be any happier with the service. The lady on the phone was awesome and told me she’d have someone out very soon. Within about 10 minutes a man by the name Matt was there to help unlock my car. He was friendly and unlocked my door without an issue. I’m thoroughly impressed with their timeliness and efforts to help me out without breaking the bank. Will definitely be calling them in the future if I need a tow service again... hopefully not though!
I used this towing company to help with a customer who needed a JS, spoke with Teresa who was the most sweetest person in the world and was so helpful. We originally gave them the wrong information of where the customer was located. After the customer called and gave the correct info of where they were. Rather than advising they could no longer do the service like most providers do. Teresa and her driver were still willing to work on the service and help the customer out. They went above and beyond for my customer and I appreciate that so much. Best people in town to use, they have good prices, great service, are the sweetest people, very helpful and willing to help. I highly recommend using them if your needing a tow service. Keep Up the AMAZING work Teresa and I appreciate you and your team for what you guys did for me and my customer.
