I wish I could put ZERO stars.
I researched online for a quote on my vehicle. I was told $450. A few minutes later, a female called me from Chuck & Eddie wanting to schedule an appointment for a tow.
I told them the following day works but I will be available at 4pm due to work and I have to travel 30 minutes to where the vehicle is located. The lady confirmed and said it was fine.
The next day, I received a call at 10:33am from a tow truck driver asking if they could come “now.” I told him no, I am at work and I already informed the lady I was not available until 4pm and there is no one else available for earlier.
Fast forward to 2:48pm, I called them while I was on my way home from work to confirm the appointment for 4pm and the lady said it was fine. So I showed up, and at 4:06 called the company again just to make sure the appointment was still fine and if they knew an ETA. I was told by the guy on the phone that the driver is “enroute” but I needed to give them some time and they wouldn’t give me an ETA. I told them I thought I set an appointment time for a reason so you expect me to wait here for a few hours and the guy responded with “yup.”
Fast forward to around 4:45pm, I called the initial driver that called me earlier this morning and he told me the lady brought the forms to them later in the day and the car is going to be picked up the following day. I told him, that’s wrong. I scheduled an appointment with the lady yesterday and I was not told about this “new” information not to mention I was not available. The tow driver said he would call me back. He never did.
So I called Chuck and Eddie office again, lady answered the phone, put me on hold and then hung up. I called back a few times again before a guy answered. This was about 4:55pm (5 minutes until closing time). I asked the guy what’s the ETA because I had an appointment for 4pm. He told me to calm down and that the appointment was only for the “possibility” of 4pm and that I was not knowledgeable on the amount of traffic at this time. He said his drivers are working late today (until 5:30pm) and if they don’t get to me then they will get to me tomorrow morning. I told him that’s not acceptable. I had an appointment scheduled for today at 4pm and I was not available the following day due to work, not to mention I already wasted my time traveling and waiting for them. The guy made more excuses and said he will check with his driver to see where they are at and call me back.
It’s about a 25 minute drive from their location to my location so even with traffic it still would not have taken them that long.
What a surprise. He never called me back. The least they could have done is told me at 2:48 or even called me prior to the appointment time if they were not going to make it instead of wasting peoples time.
I wish I read the reviews first because it seems to be a common trend with this company. Get better, there’s plenty of other businesses around.
extremely unprofessional business. jennifer and john the manger were extremely disrespectful. jennifer said that her employees were going to “pounce on your friend” over a core charge that was given to them that they refused to give the money back for. will be filling corporate complaint as their actions were absolutely uncalled for
No one ever came to pick up my vehicle donation for Kars4Kids despite having set up appointment with the tow truck driver being expected to arrive between 8 am and 1 pm on Aug 2. Not one ever called my phone. When I called in regards to the vehicle pickup everyone hung up. Not very professional. Do better.
Great all around .been getting automotive stuff their for over 25 years.Tim at the front trailer is great all around person. Extremely polite and excellent were the part you need is in what section and row .
Awful service called dispatch 3 times to be put on hold. They never picked up those 3 times. The 4th time a spoke to a manager from parts told him about the dispatch calls. He responded and I qoute " that's not my problem". Trust me stay away from this place.
Chuck & Eddies was onpoint with the part i was looking for, would highly recommend them for what ever part you looking for and if they dont have them in one location they may have it at another, and if the part is not the right one they gladly refund your money or they will find you one.
I ordered a part and for 2 weeks they continued to tell me it will be in soon. I called again yesterday and they said they would call when it came in. I called again this morning and they told me it came in yesterday and they called me. They absolutely did not call. Especially when they said they LVM at 11am. I called after 12 that day. I have no incoming calls or messages from them.
Old saying goes.... you get what you pay for.
Go anywhere else unless you are desperate then you gotta do what you must. Place is gross from start to finish.

can only vouch for their customer service on the phone just now but they were very helpful and informative with me who has very little knowledge in how these places work. Much appreciated brother!

I am the third generation of my family to use this place and their yard just keep getting more and more organized. Every time I go there and the couple times I have had an issue with a part they swapped it out Without any issues, I would recommend these guys to anybody
I ordered a rim and when it came in. It was in worst condition then the one I was replacing. They ordered me another and it has a slow air leak that I’m just dealing with. I have no choice
When I was in need of a rear axle for my Jeep, the guys here hooked me up no problem. Very courteous on the phone. They explained the core deposit for the axle. I backed up on they carefully loaded the pallet onto my truck no problem. Returning the core axle was equally easy. I would definitely buy quality used parts here again!
Placed an order for a part, and they said it was gonna come the next day and they was going to call me when it arrived. Never receive a call saying it has arrived or delayed on the way. Same thing happened months ago when I ordered a window glass. Took me a week and I never got the glass.
I called Chuck and Eddies if they can buy my recently totalled 06 Scion Xb “Purple”. And we closed a deal over a phone and the car picked up on the tow yard 2hrs after the call ended. My boss had them pick up her car. She was a little pissed because her partner was like "they just came and took it, didn't have me sign off on it or anything!" By my boss doesn't like to make waves, she got her car taken, she was paid so she was ok. So I decided to call them to junk my car. We set up for today (Saturday) lady on the phone says "ok between 8 and 2pm" which is great because my 2nd job starts at 5p so it was fine. 1pm rolls around, I call, hold for 7 minutes and got disconnected. No biggie, it happens, so I call back and didn't have to wait at all. I said "hey, just wanted to make sure you guys were still coming today?" She goes "oh, no we're picking up Monday." I said "I was told today...ok so what time on Monday?!" She said "8a-5p"....I said "yeah no, I was told today between 8a-2p...let's keep the appointment, I'll call if there are any changes". So yeah...wasted my Saturday sitting and waiting for a tow that was never coming. But I gave 2 stars because I've gone in person and in person, they have been incredibly kind.
After a stressful day of calling many places we went to Chuck & Eddies New Haven. And they were able to get my cousin’s bumper right away ! It was way cheaper than other auto parts places ! The staff were welcoming and professional. I’d recommend them every time someone needs car parts.
The patience you need JUST for them to answer your call if you don’t get hung up on by them 2-3 times is ridiculous. Customer service is trash and out the window with the New Haven spot, what a surprise though right? Can’t expect much smh
So about a month ago I bought a used bumper. This guy Mike basically had me thinking that I needed the reinforced bumper piece and sold it to me as a package. Even though I told him I was here from the rear-side. Which I was told by my guy that any mechanic would know that the reinforcement wouldn't be affected because it doesn't start on the side!!! It's dead smack in the middle now. This guy is telling me It was sold as a package EVEN THOUGH I don't need it but he won't LET me sell it back. Scam artist just trying to get people's money. Especially women go somewhere else. Not here it's not worth it!!!!

I had never sold an old car before and Chuck and Eddie's went above and beyond! My old car had died, went to car heaven....I never would have dreamed that someone would have given me $800 for a 2005 Ford Escape with over 100,000 miles on it! But the body, the seats, the basic condition of the car were great, so maybe that had something to do with it....someone could build a new engine and put it in the basic car chassis....thanks for all of your help! Scam artists who use their own version of the old "bait & switch" routine. Gave me a $500 quote for a junk car after asking their standard questions over the phone. The clown shoe flatbed driver shows up, looks under the car, and says, "That's not the original converter, have to drop the price". I said that's probably something that should be stated over the phone(which it wasn't) since the percentage of 20-year old vehicles past 250,000 miles still having the original converter is about zero or close to it. Asked how much, he says $250, and I said that's unacceptable and they shouldn't quote one price and then try to pull a fast one once they arrive. Apparently they think everyone is desperate. Then the punk clown shoe flatbed driver goes next door to my family's property to pick up another vehicle, tells my uncle "That guy next door is ignorant and has a bad attitude!". I guess they don't like it when you see through their scam and send them packing. Low-class, completely unprofessional outfit, sell your cars and buy your parts elsewhere.
I have been to Chuck & Eddie's so many times it's not even funny. One thing is for sure that they always have what I need even if I wasn't looking for it. They have great quality parts and hard parts to find at great prices. Their staff work with me to get me what I need if they don't have it on site. Their customer service representatives are very knowledgeable and take care of me every time. Its worth the 3 hour drive (6 hour round trip) from New York City because I know I will come back with everything I need to get my vehicles and customer's vehicles back on the road. I know they could ship it to me but its always fun to find extra accessories that they have available, it's like a treasure hunt sometimes. I recommend calling ahead so they may have your parts at hand when you arrive so you don't have to wait too long. Thanks Chuck & Eddie it's always a pleasure doing business with you!!!

really bad service, I bought a transmission for my car there, the mechanic received it missing parts and very dirty, it was throwing metal, he told me. I went to return it explaining everything the mechanic told me, it was within 30 days and on top of that I had also paid a 1 year warranty for the part. It was never in my car, when the mechanic saw it he knew it was useless to repair my car, when I went to ask for a refund, they returned what I paid minus 30%, that is, they kept $150 of my money when they never even if want to use the part, and had paid warranty. Very bad customer service!!
These guys are great! I've used them a few timed, very helpful knowledgeable and fast. My wife's car blew the engine, I ordered from Chuck and Eddie but mistakenly ordered the wrong engine. They caught the error and fixed it. My wide has been beating the heck our of the car for 2 years now with that engine, THANKS guys!!!

Literally the worst business out there! AVOID THEM AT ALL COST! I was doing business with them for a customers car and they constantly sent me broken parts, I never made a fuss about it as the representative was helpful at the time in sending new parts and taking the broken parts back. This past month I received a called from them stating I owed them money for parts which is impossible as when I order parts I give my card number to the representative and make sure my payment went through before he ships the part. Turns out i ordered two extra parts and they would not take them back even to just clear the balance. They accused me of not returning the broken parts and are not understanding even during this period of Covid wreaking havoc on the auto industry. I suggest if you are in the auto industry and want quality parts that are not broken look else where as they send broken parts and when you return them they accuse of never receiving them. Their billing department does not know how to keep track of billing when you order multiple times and you end up spending more, and customer service wise they are not understanding about taking parts back if you order 1 or 2 more accidentally. they even insulted me in asking to buy the parts back for $4 when I spent over $300 for them.
I was told my part will be there next day 4 days later called MIKE for refund and left me on hold for 20 minutes and I just hung up let my bank deal with it. Save your time, money and aggravation. Go elsewhere to get Good customer service
Scam alert!! Do not do business with this company. I received a call from them after purchasing a rim for my car, informing me that my part was ready for pick up. I drove from my place of employment (roughly 45 minutes) only to get there to be told, that, " it was on the invoice,but it wasn't on the truck". In 2021, how you don't have a basic system for insuring the items that you received match the items you ordered is beyond me. But, because I need the part , left work early to be there before closing,and I had already driven 45 minutes, I decided to giblets then another chance
I was guaranteed that it would be in the following day. Welp. Here I am 2 weeks later with no part, no refund,and no response to my phone calls. I will be reporting to the BBB and filing a fraud claim don't waste your time or your energy.
