Jose is one heck of a guy! He made my life a lot easier. 100 percent an amazing transfer station. You can toss beds into a crusher! Not too many places can do this.

The people there are friendly, they know their job, & they take the job seriously.

This station is pretty organized on how where you can dispose of your gsrnage items: used motor oil, metals, electronics, large bulk items, paper and cardboard. For Trumbull and Monroe residents on ly

The transfer station is over all very good except for one thing- Despite the pandemic and many people needing computers, laptops, and the parts for these devices, TPS retains it's extremely wasteful and polluting policy on scavenging the electronics recycling bin. I've passed by it many times, and seen some pretty well maintained and easily wipe-able devices, mainly laptops & desktops from Trumbull Schools, that if the policy could be reversed, could be repaired and distributed to those who really need them for remote learning or remote work. On top of this, the employees do not remind users to remove Lithium-ion batteries from any devices, and in the worst of summer, these batteries can become bloated and catch fire if they aren't put in the small bin at the back of the shipping container. Also, other consumer electronics, like Televisions and speakers, which Trumbull could use in schools and offices to save costs, are recycled and shredded. I understand that there is a worry of personal information being stored on devices, however, just about everybody locks their device, and most devices can be factory reset and wiped fairly easily, and hard disk drives can be wiped with a large magnet before being put in the bin. I really hope Trumbull's council can help with this issue

Staff were very helpful and friendly. First time dropping stuff at the transfer station and the gentleman at the check in was great pointing me in the right direction for everything.

As pleasant an experience as could be expected. I was greeted professionally--cordially, even--and directed to the appropriate destination for my load. Some random guy from a carting company took pity on me struggling with a VERY heavy cabinet and lobbed it into the "crusher" without being asked. He walked away and I had to go after him with a couple of bucks as a thank-you. He was very surprised and just laughed and said "thanks!" All that said, the smell was appalling but that is mid-August for you. Thanks, Gents!

Feel lighter and refreshed by dumping your extra junk and trash. Try minimalism by visiting the transfer station and removing the excess in your life. Better than a spa.

Quick in and out, free for trumbull residents with id. If your from out of town, it will cost a little bit. Never had to wait long to unload.

Only been there once and that's all it took. I went during the week...the line was out into the street. That wasn't the issue. I am a handicapped individual...and not familiar with what goes where. I am slow anyway but struggling with bags was a nightmare. Do not expect anyone to help you. Ask questions and they "point" (reason for one star). Making multiple trips back and forth to my truck was kind of hellish. This was the last place I expected to be treated so disrespectfully or to "hear" anyone say, "Can't you go any faster"! I've lived here 17 years but my husband has been a resident for 59 some odd years. Apparently if you're a guy it's like being with the boys and all chummy. I've gone with my husband many times...a totally different experience. We're Monroe residents who have to pay to use this trashy, smelly dump.

I got here 10 minutes before closing on a Saturday, and the only employee I saw was at the entrance more interested in closing up. I came to drop off some electronic waste which the website says they accept and the entrance sign confirms this, but I couldn't figure out where to actually drop it off. The disposal areas weren't all that well-marked. On the plus side, I was in and out of there within 10 minutes.

One Wednesday morning first thing, the compactor was so overfilled from the previous day that the workers had to unload it from the top. Why? Because no one checks IDs for residency, and everyone from Newtown to Monroe to Bridgeport knows it. Start turning away non-Trumbull residents (like the commenter below who says "unlike my town, it's free"), and you might not have that problem, fellas.

The folks working here are wonderful! Helpful and considerate. One guy helped me unload a few of the larger items from my truck to the compactor and another helped us unload a couple large TVs. All of this without asking. They simply saw us struggling and pitched in. Thanks to all of you that work here. I really appreciate you!

Staff there has been friendly and helpful. Other than that it's your typical dump transfer station. They take a/C's, TVs and other "special" items.

I love going to the Trumbull dump. The friendly reception first thing in the morning starts the day right.
