I’ve been going to Coopers to get keys made, headlights, tail lights, windshield wipers and batteries changed, etc, for my entire life. Sometimes even for things that turn out to be more complicated. They’re always friendly, reliable, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They’ll usually install wipers and other items on the spot and they’re always willing to peak under your hood and will fix or diagnose what they can at a moment’s notice. If it’s something that needs a lift they’ll refer you to someone who can help. They helped me find an affordable alternative to my Toyota headlight. Coopers is the BEST kept secret in Westport and a part of our local town history!!
Every time I come here, the employees and the owner treat me like a friend, going above and beyond to help me with whatever I need. I recently went to get a replacement bulb for my headlight and they found and replaced it for me for no added charge, while I got to sit in the AC with an adorable dog. Today I talent back after seeing a message about my brake lights, and they immediately came out to my car to help me figure out which of them were out, and gave me the chance to have a look for myself. I will be a loyal customer as long as I’m driving a car and I recommend that anyone who lives in Fairfield county joins me.
I wanted to learn how to change my car's oil and wipers myself. I had some issues, but I visited this shop where a friendly old man, very knowledgeable about cars, helped me. It's a great place! Although the shop feels a bit old inside, you can find pretty much anything you need.
I needed a 6v light bulb for a 1970s moped and Cooper's had it in stock! This is one the last remaining old school parts stores in the area, they have new and classic parts available. Would highly recommend.
My battery died while I was at the UPS store, the manager there recommended that I go to Coopers to get a battery, for which I did, the owner Sandy was so nice and helpful, he took care of me right away! With a refresh in process to my 2014 Black Toyota Sport, I recently started purchasing my supplies from Coopers Auto Parts in Westport CT vs at the Big Box stores. The owner is very nice, laid back, friendly and was knowledgable about all the items I needed. Support small business!
The store has been around 40+ years and feels like it’s stuck in a time warp. The guy is friendly and tries to be helpful, but at the end of day his information is sometimes wrong and he’s incapable of recognizing and instead defers to the length of being in business. It’s too bad because we all want to support small independent over chain stores (unless you’re given bad info)
Cooper's is a small Auto parts store Westport Connecticu for over Although the store has a limited number of items in the stock on site they are able to get virtually any part for you within 24 hours. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. It's one of the few stores left that provide diagnostic services Indian install wiper blades and batteries for customers.
Great and convenient local place that has everything you need for either ambitious DIY repairs or just simple maintenance. Super friendly and patient advice and support. If they don't have it, they will recommend where you can find it. If you don't need it, they won't sell it to you. No need to trek to a box chain store where their only service is to read the information card yourself or if you can find someone they will read the information card to you.
Always helpful, knowledgeable and has what’s needed. Reasonably priced too. Over the years, I haven’t had much need for many auto parts, but whenever I do, I’m consistently impressed with this place. Let’s keep this convenient small business successfully going,...for everyone’s benefit.
These are the nicest most accommodating most helpful guys who an old auto nerd could ever hope to deal with. Do business with them and keep them alive and kicking We have lost so many like them over recent years
