Brought my classic Mercedes to them for poor starting issue. They killed me with "diagnosis" hours which told me they didn't have someone who knew these cars and was learning on my dime. I had provided them with receipts from previous work and videos related to the issue at hand. They're probably ok for basic work like oil changes, tune ups, tires etc., but I wouldn't recommend bringing your classic car to them.

New Canaan Foreign Cars is the best. They have been taking care of mine and my husband cars for the last couple of years. They are truly honest, comprehensive, and skilled. At a time when kindness and trust seem in short order, my experience with them (especially Candice) made my day yesterday.

Friendly service. Responsive. Great to work with. Dylan is awesome. Recommend over the dealerships. Took care of the annual Porsche tuneup (spark plugs, air filter, brake flush, oil change, etc). Very responsive.

So basically I went to NCFC to get a second opinion on a steering issue that I was having. They came highly reccomended through nextdoor app. I spoke to Alex and explained what was going on. I made an appointment and went for a quick road test so he could hear what I was trying to explain. They put it up on the lift and did a thoughrough examination of my steering, and turns out that there was nothing wrong, and bmw wanted to charge me 6k for a new steering rack. Love this place, and the staff. I will be doing my services with them going forward.

Purchased a used car from Phil who is that rare breed of honest and transparent salespersons. Nothing hidden or covered up. When test driving the car there were no lights on the dash, but Phil came forward and let me know that there had been a check engine that they had cleared, but they were going to fix the issue before the sale. They fixed the issue, even going above and beyond what was minimally necessary and passed none of the cost to the invoice price. Would 100% recommend and buy from again.

There is customer service and then there is CUSTOMER SERVICE! The staff is not only incredibly knowledgeable and friendly but this place has such conscious ethical business practices!!! They were fair in their pricing and transparent on what all they diagnosed ,but what truly floored me was how much they care about being honest and how much they believe in "doing the right thing" While my car was in their parking lot , due to high winds, a barell tipped over and caused a small scuff mark on the front door. I probably won’t have notified it for weeks or months to come, but Alex called and explained how they noticed it and they looked through the cameras and it was not there before and how it happened etc. and ..... "We will take care of it for you and you dont have to worry...we will give you your car better than we go it" like WOW...don’t you feel the world can use more businesses like these ? Where they were willing to take a financial hit( fixing that little scuff must have at-least costed them 4000 as the whole door had to be take off and painted ) to make sure they do a honest deed by other human? I’m grateful for honest integral people like them that are running ethical businesses The world need more of these and I wish them all the success!! They for sure have me as a customer for life! Truly TY Alex !!!

Alex and Dylan and the team at New Canaan Foreign Car are the best. I bought a 22 year old Audi TT and asked them to look it over so I would feel safe driving it and know what to expect to keep it running. They looked it over and quickly got back to me with a list of things that should be done and then told me what was urgent vs what could wait a few months. They even came (in the rain!!) to a parking lot a few blocks away when my car needed a jump! I can't promise that you won't regret buying a 22 year old car, but you absolutely will not regret going to New Canaan Foreign Car.

Wow! Where do I start? If anyone is looking for a car repair shop that can far exceed their expectations, New Canaan Foreign Car is the best place. A week ago, I entered the shop to get an estimate about installing headlights that I purchased from an aftermarket company. I was greeted by Dylan, the sales representative who was inviting and willing to learn more about the project at hand. Dylan started off our interaction with a clear assessment of the vehicle which showed a high level of professionalism and integrity. After the assessment Dylan informed me about services and warranty provide by the shop. To add, he was able to provide a fair pricing and time frame that would be needed to complete the job. Dylan also went the extra mile in seeking one of the technicians, Chris, to provide a quick review of the work to be performed. From there, Dylan schedule an appointment that worked for us both. The morning of the appointment, I dropped my car off to give the technicians time to work on the car for the day. Once the work was completed, Dylan gave me a call and text to let me know my car was ready to be picked up. I was absolutely pleased with the finished product. The headlights looked absolutely amazing on my vehicle. I look forward to working with New Canaan Foreign Car on our next project. These guys are great. Super communicative and willing to work through the annoyances when dealing with a full euro spec car. I.e cross referencing with US models to make sure the parts needed will work. Most of all, they’re honest. Not trying to get you to sign off on BS work if it isn’t needed. Looking forward to working with them again. Got the touring set up and ready to go on its first road trip.

I had a great experience! The desk was always kind and courteous. They kept me updated on the. Repairs in my car and the estimate was precise. The only caveat I would say is they left my convertible out in the rain and The interior got wet Other than that exceptional service

I am a new customer at New Canaan Foreign Car and can say hands down it is the best automotive business I’ve ever patronized. And I’ve been to many. From the first time I walked into the office, Dylan and Candice made it clear that NCFC was going to be a much better experience. They arranged to have me driven home while my car was repaired and then sent a car to pick me up to bring me back to pick up my car. Jorge and Seiji were the drivers. Great guys. Dylan then itemized everything that had to be done, then other things to be dealt with in the future. Honest, clear communication, fair prices well below dealers’ quotes. Can’t say enough about NCFC. They conducted a more thorough inspection of my vehicle than a dealership, priced out my repairs, and walked through each item and their recommendations. Some of the repairs did not make sense to do at this time, and I felt they made an honest assessment that other shops would not provide. After replacing my tires at a dealer last year, my front passenger tire developed a slow leak. The dealer’s maintenance department inspected the tire twice and assured me it was fine. NC Foreign Car inspected the tire and immediately found and corrected the damage, all for less than the cost of a visit to the dealers service department. It’s clear from the classic vehicles they work on that this shop is highly trusted by their clients. Excellent service, quality work, and reasonable prices.

This place is phenomenal! We had some brake work done earlier in the year, and the work was professional, the price extremely competitive, and the staff treated us like we were family. Recently, my daughter went in with an oil light on, and again, they took care of her with the upmost of kindness, added oil to the engine, and didn’t charge her! These people are simply wonderful! I recommend them highly.

This was my first time using them and they were FANTASTIC! Responded to my appointment request quickly and were very up front about service/labor/diagnostic costs. Always called with updates when they said they would, and were very informative and helpful in their explanations. Everyone I dealt with or talked to was friendly.
