They put down one price for Towing. when my daughter complained and I said don't worry about it the insurance will cover you . The woman there stopped writing the estimate for Towing and then the bill went way over $300. My daughter said she saw the original bill it was only $135 before the woman ripped it up and started a new one I told my daughter insurance will take care of the whole thing. The woman actually brought the price up to $300. And that she tried to attack on more and I told them they didn’t do a damn thing and where are all the clothes that were in my daughter‘s car they said they did not know.

I was recommended here for repairs on my car from an accident. When I picked my car up it looked brand new you could never guess my front end was smashed. I've used Nunes a couple of times and I've always been very happy. Recently I had a pretty big job done, and Junior did a great job. When I got the car back, it was spotless. They even cleaned the interior for me! Highly recommend!
We had to send a our Jeep to have body work done on the doors that were dented. When the car was dropped off, we were told it would be about a week and a half to do thew work. As time went on, we checked in to get a progress report. The staff was very snarky and rude over the phone when we called.
Due to the humidity, the paint was taking longer to dry hence extending the length of the job. I can accept that. You have no control over that.
Here is my beef.
When we agreed on a final payment, we were not told that that payment had to be paid in cash only. They were going to charge us an additional $200 fee to pay the balance with a debit card over the phone. We were also told that my wife can get a ride so she could pick up the car when it was done. When we tried to make such arrangements, we were told that there was nobody available causing further inconvenience. Long story short, they were very inflexible to accommodate us in getting our car and they were very nasty about it.
Never using them again or recommending them to anybody else.
Staff is very unprofessional, cursing and swearing at customers. The whole establishment is a fraud. They will scam your insurance company and then tell you, that you have to pay for work they already intend on charging your insurance.
From the looks of othwr reviews, they have been doing it for years.

Police chose this tow place not me. I was told I could come get my things out by tow driver then was sworn at by trashy owners. They purposely lie and confuse things so the car stays with them longer and they make more money. Items were missing/ stolen out of the vehicle. Please do not let them tow your vehicle!!

1. I got into a bad accident while in the middle of moving to Stratford. We do not live out of our car. I could not possibly take my belongings out in the middle of the road. I was injured and shaken up. The point is I was told by the tow truck driver I could come get what I needed or of the car at a later date. I arrived with the owner of the vehicle (my husband) and and he was also told he couldn't take anything out. The woman keeps repeating herself but I was standing next to the owner. The point is we were told one thing then very rudely told another. The owner had zero compassion and should not run a business.
The work that was done on my car was pretty good so I definitely appreciate that and won't complain about it, but the service awh man! Idk if it was just me but I for damn sure didn't feel welcome! I felt like I was bothering no matter how polite I was being..... 2 stars! Idk maybe it was just me
My car was brought to Nunes Auto Body on 102 Calhoun Ave for body repair. The shop had my car for one and a half months. They were not able to give me any updates on the status of my vehicle during that time for “unknown” reasons. My car went to the body shop with 2, 352 miles on the odometer and a full tank of gas. My vehicle was returned to me with 3,164 miles on the odometer and an empty tank of gas. An additional 812 miles was driven on my car while it was not in my possession. Do not take your vehicle here, avoid this auto body shop at all cost.
let me tell you that if you need body work done RIGHT and you value OEM parts and OEM finish, this is the place to go. the shop itself and the atmosphere is a bit rough around the edges, but let me tell you when you pick up your car, you will be EXTREMELY satisfied. I have used Nunes numerous times and they have become my go to for auto repair - Junior is honest and up front with the entire process.
I just looked this place up I never did any type of business there but people that I work with used them and they where happy with there service, I was in the autobody business for 25 years and you could never make 100 percent of your customers happy they always find fault whether its the quality of work or the price its a never ending battle so I take my hat off to anybody that owns this type of business.
This place was listed as an autobody shop that I could bring my truck to get an estimate through my insurance company after I was struck in a car accident. ..
First impression: The women I spoke to over the phone had a tone that was very unpleasant, but seeing how I was only getting an estimate and it was close to my house I decide to still go to them.
Upon arrival, I told the women that I was there for and estimate and immediately I knew it was the same women I spoke to on the phone (tone was just as unpleasant in person). She stated "Well we aren't going to give you an estimate if we aren't doing the work". I don't work at an autobody shop and don't know the ins and outs, so I handed her the keys and we did a walk around the car.
Fast forward a week later, I get a call from insurance that my truck is a total lose...I go to the autobody shop the next day to pick up my truck to avoid storage fees. Again it's the same women (sigh) I tell her I'm there to pick up my truck because it's a total loss and it was drivable upon delivery so it should be in the same condition...right?!
So she proceeds to tell me "You cant drive it off the lot we've torn it down, and if it's still like that you cant drive it". Keep in mind I already saw my truck at the end of the lot....so she says let me make a call to see, sooooo she comes back and says I can drive it! So I'm excited! But then she says "but it's going to cost" so instantly I'm confused and say pay for what? And she says the Tear down and covid $247.80. I remind her that the truck is a total loss, and she states yea but you still have to pay for the work.
I pay the money because I didn't want to deal with her any longer, it took close to an hour for them to actually give me the truck and I leave.
I call my insurance company and they state, I was never suppose to pay for my truck because its a total loss and the tear down that they did was necessary to determine that my truck was a total loss. Long story short now I have to wait for my insurance company to reimburse me.
Lastly, whoever that women is does not need to interact with customers, her whole demeanor is off.
It's been 13 years I count on Junior to fix my family's vehicles. Never had a problem when dealing with him. Just now, his assistant called to tell me I needed to spend $3550 to fix my car and I called back to discuss the issues with the car. The girls who work there just said - you speak to me not with the mechanic and he in not in! I asked to set up a time with Mr. Junior and she hung up on my face. Since when is this place treating people like this?
They take care of Bpts peeps. In 2000 Val charged me $20 for a brake line flush that Midas wanted $450 to replace two calipers that I didn’t need. These are good folks.
Finally, after switching from a few Auto Body Shops I landed with one that knows how to deal with a client professionally.Jr helped me figuring the needs of my car as well as reviewed some receipts that i had from a company that charged me unfairly. Nunes is the place to be when in doubt and when in need and when your car needs professional care!
Junior at Nunes is the best! Even though they are a bit of a drive, we love going to them for bodywork and major repairs. They have always been fair and really seem to have our best interest in mind. And on a recent brake job they even replaced a missing plug in the bumper at no extra cost. Highly recommended.
Thank you Junior and the crew at Nunez Auto Body for the great service. My car was completed ahead of time to my satisfaction. They even vacuumed the car and washed it before it was turned back over to me. The price was very reasonable as well. I'd recommend them to anybody!
Ya know, for those who know me, I keep it real....I'm pretty easy to please but also not to difficult to displease. I have had nothing but straight dealings with these guys and never had an issue... Straight forward, both ways and my vehicles have always been sweet getting them back. I can appreciate the no filter treatment and straight forward, lets get the job done thought process.....Ya better believe Ill update this if it changes but till now...I appreciate these guys and their place and their quality of work...
I went in for a part and was told the part would not be available for 3 days and that it would cost $70. I asked the service rep if he could check other establishments and he told me he was already looking in a state-wide database. I then called LeBlanc's in Norwalk....not only did they have the part ON THE PREMISES (UNLIKE WHAT DJ TOLD ME FROM NUNES)....IT WAS ONLY $40!!!! When I told LeBlanc's about my ordeal with Nunes they were disgusted and said it was HIGHWAY ROBBERY...$70 for a used 2002 nissan altima tail light at Nunes and $40 at LaBlanc's!!! I actually got it for free in the end because it had a small crack in it. That is how you do business NUNES....IF YOU WANT TO KEEP CUSTOMERS YOU DO NOT LIE TO THEM NOR DO YOU DOUBLE THE PRICE!!!
