Jays is a nice clean place. Staff is very courteous. Replaced my batteries quickly. My only negative was that I had to have vehicle towed in. They charge 200.00 to diagnose the problem. Told them that truck wouldn't start. Batteries themselves cost what they should have. More than 200.00 to install them. That was pretty high.
Well, considering I was told my tire was not repairable and I needed a new one for 500 dollars. I took it down to Pierce and they patched it in ten minutes… Really nothing more to add.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I was hoping to find a good local mechanic I could trust. This was my first time at Jay's and I was extremely disappointed.
Right off the bat it was bad. I was there for an oil change and I asked if they could rotate the tires. They quoted me $100 DOLLARS for an TIRE ROTATION. Even the dealer only charges $30. And most places do it free with the oil change.
Secondly, after they did the inspection they sent me the quote for recommended work. It was abundantly obvious that they checked Every. Single. Box. that they could to try to get me to do more work. You know how I know? Because one of the many things they recommended I do was a power steering fluid flush. My car has electric power steering. THERE IS NO POWER STEERING FLUID!! But if I would have told them to do it, they would have happily let me pay for it.
Lastly, they quoted me nearly $1400 dollars for brake pads and Rotors. Given the first two issues I figured that was overpriced. Sure enough, I called 8 different shops, including the DEALER, and the highest quote I got was $1200.
They also didnt reset the oil change reminder in the car, so I had to return and deal with them again to get them to do that.
Unfortunately, this is just another shop trying to charge as much as possible to people who dont know any better. And obviously it is working since they have a huge, shiny brand new building.
What a shame.
Jay’s Automotive is fast, reliable, and truly takes care of their customers. I dropped my car off today for a tire patch and they already had a loaner car ready for me, which made everything so easy. Super professional and efficient. Their new location is really well done and looks so nice! Highly recommend!
Stopped in after noticing one of my tires was losing air. Rich and the guys found the leak and had the tire patched in under 20 min. Highly recommend Jays automotive
We had our 2019 Chevy Traverse in the shop at Ghent Chevrolet many,many times for a noise and were told that since it had not thrown a code they had no way to find the problem. We also reported issues we thought were in the transmission, we got the same response from them!
We heard great things from friends and neighbors about Jay’s, so we took it in. They were very diligent and persistent in finding the problems and found that the problem was with the transmission. They worked with us and our extended warranty and replaced our transmission! Their service is excellent as well as their communication. We cannot say enough good things about this shop and all the employees. Thank you
Came in for a last minute tire fix and these guys got right on it for me. I couldn’t be more grateful to Jason and the shop crew. This shop is great and you can tell they just want to make people happy. Earlier this week my truck was having transmission issues and they let me park it outside overnight. Fast forward to today and I had a tire issue on my other vehicle and they got me right in.
Thanks Jays Automotive for being top notch. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles here in the future.
We called Jay’s coming into town for Thanksgiving on Wednesday afternoon realizing we have a leak in our tire. We weren’t sure how the rest of our trip would go knowing we have an 8 hour drive home, only separated by Thanksgiving Day. They told us they would work us in when we arrived. Not only that, when they heard me and my young kids were walking from a nearby restaurant, they sent my husband to get us on their golf cart. Hands down the best customer service experience of any automotive shop we’ve ever had. Their new facility is state-of-the art as well! I couldn’t recommend them more! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ive got mixed feelings about this place..
I usually do all my own mechanical work but when it comes to my tires I opted to using Jay's automotive since I do not have a tire machine.
My first time there was actually pretty exceptional; they were able to get my tire in quick, fix the flat and it was free.
Now fast forward some time and I again decided to use Jay's since they performed really well the first time. This time it was just for a new stem valve.
Well..things weren't as great this time..
So they were able to get my tire in the next day and it took them all afternoon to get it done, which was fine for me because I was in no rush and I can understand that if they're busy, they're busy.
Regardless I go and pick up my tire in the afternoon just before they closed and as im rolling it out to my car I can hear the TPS just bouncing around inside the tire. I immediately take it back and let them know. They said they'd fix it and I try to be understanding because we all make mistakes.
Of course since it was closing time they had to hold onto my tire and work on it the next day. I was told that it should be done in morning but unfortunately it was not, it took them till about mid afternoon; which again I didnt really have a problem with wait times but if youre gonna tell me its gonna be done in the morning then I expect it to be done so at that time.
So when I finally am able to go pick up my tire, the mechanic told me that he just went ahead and replaced the whole TPS..which on one hand you'd think is fine because that was free..however since he inputed the sensor manually, it never actually read when on my truck. Still doesn't to this day because from what I understand it can take X amount of miles until it reads. Well its been over 100 miles and it still doesnt read the sensor.
So now I have to deal with the TPS light always being lit up on the dash.
Oh and they also forgot to give me back my center cap for the rim so I had to make yet ANOTHER trip to their shop just to retrieve that.
Im a pretty understanding guy so I try not to be negative or confrontational in front of their faces but I thought id at least leave my review so hopefully they can rectify these mistakes and save the next customer from dealing with these headaches. That was my experience and if it was on par like my very first visit, I would've left 5 stars; ultimately though 3 trips for a simple valve stem job has skewed my perception and am left rather unsatisfied.
Everyone was super friendly and more than willing to answer all of my questions. They did a great job on my car and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.
Stopped by Jay’s to get a slow leak on a tire patched. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. My tire was patched within 45 minutes and I was on my way. Excellent service!

I had jay’s automotive repair my Rear passenger tire that had a nail in it, they got me right in and repaired the tire, I’ve always had a great experience when bringing my truck in for maintenance. Everyone is very pleasant to work with, highly recommend them!
The crew at Jay Automotive was so helpful and kind. I came in to figure out what was causing air loss in my tire and they figured it out in 5 minutes and helped fix the problem quickly. Truly nice and helpful people and I’ll definitely be coming again!
Had this big screw/nail in our tire. Took it into Jay’s and they fixed while I waited. The service is always fast and friendly. I highly recommend Jay’s for all your automotive needs.
Poor customer service relations and billing practices. I called to schedule an alignment to be told that it was an extra $50 now. I have had 3 vehicles in before for multiple alignments and never assessed this charge. I found an alignment shop in Fort Collins that charged almost $100 less.
We found ourselves in a bit of a pickle this weekend. We were in Eaton for baseball and when my son got back to his car, his tire was flat. Everywhere was massively busy or closed and being 90m from home, I really didn’t want my 16yo driving that far in a donut. We saw the garage open to Jays and Chris greeted us warmly. He checked out the tire, gave us a recommendation, and got it good enough for us to get home. Chris was AWESOME! He saved our day. So thankful. Highly recommend!
Jay’s Automotive is a first class repair shop. Always professional and efficient. I have had all of my trucks serviced and repaired and they have always been fair, courteous and honest about pricing and trustworthy. They also have been up front about parts and recommendations on repairs. Great shop.
Had an actuator replaced on my Dodge Journey. Richard was friendly and helpful. My car was fixed with a solid 3-year warranty. I was given the use of a courtesy car while my vehicle was being looked at. Very appreciative of this. I do wish I was informed of the cost of the diagnostic test ahead of time. I also wish the diagnostic test results that were emailed to me included cost details with the issues. It would’ve also been nice to know that there was a 4% surcharge for credit card use well in advance instead of seconds after tapping my card. Again, seems like they did a great job fixing the issue, but some small things could be ironed out.

My son and family were visiting from IL and we were packed up heading for a day trip to the Snowy Range in WY when we noticed our left front tire was really low. We drove straight to Jay’s Automotive and asked if they could help us out. They immediately pulled our car in to fix our tire and quickly had us on the road to continue with our plans for the day. We were so appreciative of them helping us out! This is just the kind of people they are there. Every time I’ve gone to Jay’s for any service, they’ve done a great job for me! Jay’s automotive was incredible! We were traveling through Colorado and had a problem with our muffler in route. We stopped by Jay’s automotive, and they immediately got us in and welded our muffler so we could continue on our way. They were very accommodating and helpful! I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Jay's Automotive has been a huge blessing to my family for years! Pretty much any car issue we have, they've been able to take care of, and they've done so at a more affordable price than anywhere else I've checked. I couldn't recommend them more!

Passing through town on a several hundred mile trip, saw Pawnee National Grassland on the map, and decided I wanted to check it.
But before heading out where I might be overlanding, I wanted Lady She-Tank and Demoiselle Deathstar to get a once over.
I'm disabled and if anything goes wrong while I'm off-road, I could be in serious trouble.
I left Jay's extremely confident in the condition of my equipment.
