It's not always about cost. All things like being stranded, needing help, are important. I was lucky, my truck just died near Climax, my cell phone was unable to help me call anyone. Not even 911. So, a passing vehicle did stop for me and even drove me home to Leadville. I then called Millennium Towing to assist retrieving my truck into town. The response was quick, as well as retrieving my truck to a auto repair shop. Best part for me, he looked for a pair of glasses I was missing when I got home. Thinking I may have dropped these $900 glasses outside the truck, yes, he did find them on the ground by my Truck and dropped them off at my home to me. The kindness offered to me today by two strangers to me, outweighs the cost of my vehicle failing me!
Joe is kind and saved me when I was traveling. My vehicle decided to die and I was told to contact him by the mechanic I called. It was a good recommendation despite what some have said on here. I was told by AAA it would be hours before they could come and get me because of where I was...Joe came and got me in 30 minutes. He is no more expensive than anywhere else I tried and was upfront on the phone about what he would charge. Sometimes time is worth way more than money. If you get stuck in Lake County and need I tow truck this is your guy!
They were there quickly and very professional. They towed me through the mountains without a hitch. Only bad part is they hauled me to the wrong place, and I needed another tow. Otherwise it would have been a five.
Good service. I needed a tow from my garage to a mechanic. The driver pushed while I steered it out. Then he was able to get it on the flatbed. Quick and professional service. It was $250 for a local tow.
To those who complain about pricing: cars are a luxury that we decide to own and the services provided by independent contractors to work on those luxury items is itself a luxury service. So, check local prices, but pay what the guy who has the thousands of dollars in equipment and years of expertise is going to charge you if you'd like luxury service for a luxury item.
I made a bone-headed decision to try and get to a trailhead via snow packed roads and put my Jeep into the ditch. Contacted Joe and had the vehicle recovered and back into town before sunset on a November afternoon. I'm glad he's here in Leadville for boneheads like me.
Extremely happy with their towing & customer service! Had my Ford Explorer recovered off a rock in Leadville & towed back to Westminster and their expertise was on point! Chris went above and beyond to make my day better! A++ service…would recommend!
I called this service based on a recommendation from my mechanic... I feel it is my duty to inform my mechanic , and the public, what the business he is recommending is actually charging the locals...
So, I called and booked my tow a week in advance. On the day of the appointment, Joe the wrecker called. He had conveniently waited until the last second to tell me his ridiculous rate... he charged me $350 to have my pick up truck towed 3 miles... It was not an emergency... It was normal business hours... The pick up was not in a dangerous location, it was in a safe empty parking lot.... $350???
He said it was a flat rate and he wouldn't charge me extra for mileage.... What a guy!!!
Last year when I used another local wrecker to tow the same pick up truck, twice the distance. They charged me $180... Half the price...
If you are smart you will call around, and don't always follow your mechanics recommendations...
I tried calling many many times on Saturday with no response, voice messages never returned. After no word all day I went there in person to find what looks like some kind of abandoned u-haul scrapyard. No people to be found and large padlock on the front door. The hours posted seem to be a blatant lie. I would not give this "business" any of your money
Joe had provided us friendly and professional towing service for our motorhome thru Ford Roadside assistance towing service request. He went and above our expectations and cares about his customer. He even did a follow up call after the service just to ensure our family safety and our problems have been addressed by Ford Roadside assistance.
I got my truck stuck in the snow on a road I shouldn’t have been on with my wife, 8 month old son, and dog. Joe was professional, very helpful, and seemed like he truly cared about our well-being and getting my truck out. Had to bring out the big machinery to get me out but Joe got it done and for that I am thankful.
Joe was so awesome! He was on time, efficient, and got us out of the deep snow quickly and safely. He also gave us a great price and was very kind and understanding! If you’re ever stuck you can be sure he’ll be the best to help you out!

Joe was my superhero. Saved me and my disabled 40' motorhome from cottonwood pass. Helped get me lined up with a better repair shop then my insurance company.
They and Joe the owner is useless. They are suppose to be a Uhaul dealer but Joe refused to help with a rental I had booked nearly a week prior. Even the Uhaul people apologized for how I was treated. Told me I had to do everything online even when Uhaul said he needed to do the paperwork for a trailer and verify connections. Wasted the entire day and still have to find another way to transport my ailing vehicle to a mechanic.
1 star is too good for Millenium Towing/ Uhaul. Go somewhere else. He deserves no business, Joe is rude and should not be in the service industry. Uhaul should find someone else as he is bad for their image.
Joe was very friendly, professional, and helpful. He followed safety precautions and double checked everything before towing us. We appreciated his prompt assistance.
