First of all I like to say that everybody is super nice there. However the parts are rarely ever correct. And also they never have anything you need in stock so you have to wait to get the wrong part. We still keep going to them though because sometimes the parts are right and there's nothing wrong with them. They are the best auto parts stores in the valley.
Great customer service and selection. Neal was very helpful. Took the time to find the right part and made sure I got the right price Even put my wiper blades on for me, Embarrassing for an old guy, but I’ll take all the help I can get Thanks!
The O'Reilly's in fruita,co ..well she lied to me about my purchase, it was double what I should have paid, ( my spark plugs for a Chevy shouldn't have been $110 bucks ) .. told me that this is the product you have to have , it came out with the car .. which was a lie , the product wasn't even created back then..the mechanic they referenced, would not get out of bed to put it on .lol so sad ... I have a long history with O 'Reillys, but not going in that store again..
EXTREMELY helpful staff and always super friendly. Liam and David both were so helpful and were all smiles with me. 10/10 customer service fron the both of them. I will definitely be coming back here.
Was extremely unimpressed with my visit. They had the parts I needed ($40 worth) but the dude looked me up and down and assumed I had no idea what I was doing and said as much. He then starting pushing a $300 up sale on parts I didn’t need (I don’t look like your traditional mechanic) and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Some guys try to take advantage of you, it can ruin an auto parts store. Just go to auto zone or Napa, they’ll be more helpful. Really rubbed me the wrong way that he decided I didn’t know what I was doing and tried to take advantage of that instead of being helpful.
Anyway I was exactly right on what needed fixing and my car is good again, despite the staff.
The worst store i've been ! Trying to check out my items the guy on phone just sitting there he is on hold or something cant even look at costumer they waiting in line other employe was helping costumer and he leaves with costumer find parts or something ! Don't know ! don't care ! check out should not take more than 10 min . Get a self check out or find somebody actually give a crap about their jobs !
On the road and had a problem with my van requiring a fairly simple but immediate fix. Gentleman at this location who helped me took the extra time to make sure the part I needed was what I bought. Really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Got me back on the road.

We were pulling a camper when our truck began backfiring going up Monarch Pass.
After calling 4 shops, we went to O’Reilly Auto Parts, #3000, in Salida.
David read our check engine code and identified two simple fixes. After buying the parts, He offered a tool and step stool so my husband could fix the issue in their parking!

Probably the most rudest man and a giant dog. Freaking scary. And the guy was extremely sarcastic to me. Poor salesman! I could have bought what I needed but i just wanted to leave
I came in today quite distressed because I had a coolant leak and my engine was overheating every few minutes making driving it impossible, but I had to go from Salida to Denver. These two clerks, David and Liam I believe, were unbelievably helpful. They helped me get my cooling system fixed and I was able to drive back to denver without any other overheating. So thankful! Thank you so much for the help!
Check engine light came on at 6pm as we were in the first hour of a 17hour drive. Super nice pulling the code for me and even helped me replace a part.
What a great team. I am from Colorado Springs. I had my oil changed before heading to Salida. The technician didn’t put my screws back in for my oil pan. I got to Salida and stopped at O’Reilly’s Joe was so kind to help me temporize the situation unit I return home . He was such a blessing !

They were nice and helpful but ordered me the wrong part on something time sensitive. If you need a part ordered I'd highly suggest going elsewhere or confirming with them that they're ordering the correct part.
I would have given more stars but the guy in there on a Saturday morning (that did my battery purchase) told me "the guys that install the battery didn't get in until 1pm". I came back at 3pm and HE installed my battery and was a bit... I don't know, vibes were off. Weird. Why not just say you needed someone else in the store? Kind of felt like he just didn't want to do it.
I was having an issue with my Jeep battery dying so I went to O'Reilly today to see if they could help me try and figure the issue out. David was the only salesperson there and helped me out so much! I explained exactly what my Jeep was doing, he helped me narrow the issue down to what I needed. He even checked the battery and alternator just to make sure they weren't the issue, he hooked up the code reader and explained to me what the codes were. He had other customers coming in too and was very polite and patient with everyone that I seen. He didn't try to sell me expensive parts I didn't need or talk down to me because I had 0 knowledge of what was happening to my Jeep. He was very helpful!
Three guys working when I walked in. All said hi, welcome. But none asked if they could help me. Kinda like they were waiting on me to pick one of them myself. Sorta odd. Beyond that oddness, nice store and friendly.
One minute to six pm and driving in a snow storm and my windshield wipers were leaving nothing but streaks when we came upon O'Reilly Auto Parts. The clerk found new wiper blades and installed them in a driving snow storm. Many thanks and appreciation.
Good O'Reilly's. The staff was as friendly as every other one I visited. I stopped some hose and trans fluid after my trans cooler line burst on the trail. Picked up everything I needed to get my vehicle back on the trails. I hope to not need to visit again the next time I'm in Salida, but I certainly will if I need parts. Thanks!
I arrived at O’Reillys this morning. The clerk was near the door when he saw me. He turned around and walked away as I was saying good morning. He said nothing. He had his chewing tobacco in and just stared at me. No friendly word. No how may I help you look past me very rude eyes. I got my filters I’m sure they’re correct do I need to have a friendly auto parts person? No. But geez how unfriendly an interaction.
They mean well but motion is NOT action.
Summer 2022:
They wanted an additional $10.50 freight for a part which I had asked them to order. They said it would be here today and acted like that is the deal.
Of course, I laughed at them then went to FCP Euro and got one shipped here (arrived today) for less than Oreilly's pre-tax asking price.
I do all I can to support the local brick and mortar and this was the result. Go figure.
Fall 2022:
This time, one gal tried to tell me to put ATF4 in my XJ which came factory with Mercon III. Shook her head when I told her wassup.
One is full synth the latter is a blend. Do NOT mix the two!!! Trust me.
Chrysler has been using a synthetic ATF, either ATF+4 or ATF+5, which Chrysler specifically says is not compatible with either Dexron or Mercon.
They are not 'kids' working there. They are just arrogant if not ignorant.
This ole aircraft mechanic just wants the parts or items. Not the opinons.

June 2023:
I tried the website:
Website told me I had over two hours left to qualify for 'free next-day delivery' so I completed my order right then for three serpentine belts.
I could have drove in if I had known there would be a run-around and now this is a delayed royal sh*tfest. thanks.
The website made no indication this was estimated. It actually had the free next day in bold print but of course now the email says that this was an 'estimate'.
That is some serious bait and switch tactics.
At this point I will presume that dealing with Salida O'reilly's (whether in store or online) is just a royal no-no unless I need overpriced wiper blades on the spot. Use Rain-X, baby!
*Update: 26 hours later they still have not been delivered (or even shipped). They say it will be here Friday.. that would be three days.
They are the last thing I will try now, locally. :/

She helped me, late that busy evening with a smile and caring attention.
I needed Hydraulic Oil for my old Chevy plow truck, and she researched the product I needed that night. Crystal set up my Discount Card for O'Reilly and made me feel like a Valued Customer!

Always have the parts I want, or can get them very easily on the website. Unfortunately, if you shop at the store, you may get asked more technical questions, which makes sending lesser skilled people (my wife) to get parts very hard. Can still order online and pick up in store, but decided to try Carquest at the other end of town.
Always a good parts place. Knowledgeable staff low prices and Never any fuss when I have a return. Usually have what I want In stock and if they dont they can get it fast most of the time the next day.
Staff was nice and knowledgable. Howver, big deduction since they wouldn't take our used oil, despite giant signs all over the place stating they would. They offered no explanation as to why they wouldn't take it.
