We were in an accident in Alamosa in June, 2025. The tow driver was lovely and helped us get a couple of items from our van after the accident.
Every interaction since the initial one has been terrible. I was told that I had to turn over the title of my van or pay $1,800 before I could get the remainder of my personal items out after 8 days of storage. I used one of my tows through AAA to have the van moved to a collision center. I asked four times for a receipt, and the owner despite telling me on two phone calls that he would provide me with the receipt, still has not provided it a month later. So, now, the other drivers insurance doesn't have to reimburse me for that either. I would never recommend these folks to anyone.
I can’t say thank you enough to this family run, compassionate business! They helped me out of a stressful situation. They responded so quickly and got the job done in like two seconds. I feel so blessed by their help!!

Layton's Towing helped out a few out of towners in a huge pinch! They were quick to respond, incredibly helpful, and very reasonably priced. Could not recommend them enough. Elliot was our tech and he went above and beyond for us and our car. Very thankful for their willingness and generosity! Also helped point us in the direction of an amazing local auto shop (Garcia's Auto Sales) who worked on our car quickly, these people know what they're doing!!
10/10 recommend Layton’s towing. We broke down on our way home to Oklahoma. Mason loaded our Yukon and pulled our trailer with sxs to Alamosa to the Chevy dealership. Upon learning it would be week before they could get to it, he then dropped us with our vehicle at a hotel of his recommendation. He came out the next morning to help get our vehicle on a trailer in order to get it and us back to Oklahoma. Very kind, polite, professional and willing to help in any way he could. This towing company definitely made a very unexpected breakdown more bearable to deal with.

Clutch blew out on a small country road while towing my camper trailer on a Sunday. My roadside assistance said they couldn't help - I'll be cancelling THAT service! Called Layton's and Elliot came out to pick us up, took the truck to the repair shop, and towed the trailer to a safe location. Super kind and he had my 6 year old nephew help lower the truck off the towing structure! Gave the kiddo a fantastic experience and did it all with a smile for a reasonable price! Would definitely recommend!
I was stranded on the side of the road and contacted Layton's towing. They promptly dispatched a tow truck. I was in contact several times with the driver, Jim, as he was on his way to my location. Jim arrived and loaded my vehicle onto his tow truck. Jim is a really nice guy with great customer service and knowledgeable about his job. I would recommend Jim and Layton's towing for any of your towing needs.
We had an unfortunate accident on a Sunday afternoon and once we got everything worked out with AAA Laytons showed up very quickly. Jim,who was driving the truck, was super friendly and great to work with. He helped us get our vehicle home and did all he could to get the vehicle safely on the flat bed( jeep front end was in real bad shape). Was stuck way out in the middle of no where. Laytons team was very professional and even helped us get a rental car. They always answered the phone and communicated great. Being out of town he recommended a great auto mechanic. Nick our driver was great and professional. Thanks for helping us out!! I hope no one ever needs a tow but if you do these guys are the ones to call.
Layton Towing is awesome and helped me get my truck from a remote area of Colorado. Jim the driver was super friendly, patient, and professional. We had the best experience with Layton’s Towing, on a celebratory road trip with my mom and a flat stuck us in South Fork. Jim was super helpful and gave us tips on how to get home with a spare! He was very professional and full of helpful information. The holiday weekend caused some frustrations finding help and the next day.
Jim came to tow us back home since he advised me AAA covers it! What a blessing he was so kind and respectful and so efficient. I felt safe with my mom and we can’t say enough about this company! Highly recommend
Jim arrived within the time stated. He was very professional and explained what expect. He was very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable about my boyfriend’s Mercedes and its quirks on being set to neutral. Jim was amazing! My family and I were camping in the Sand Dunes and our car and camper broke down more than 3 hours from our home in Denver. On Fathers Day Sunday Jim arrived in about 2 hours and towed our car and camper home safely. He is extremely kind and pleasant to work with and we are so thankful. When he drove in our driveway my daughter yelled “Jim is our hero!” Thank you Jim!
I was super stuck in the sand; the spare tire under the van (a Ford Transit 350 HD) and the driveshaft were touching the ground.. Super service. The driver was super nice and did the job in a pinch.
HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Layton’s Towing. Jim was seriously so amazing! We had an issue with our car and needed a tow and didn’t have cell service so we had to go about 17 miles down the road to our house to call and get warm and Jim picked us up and brought us to our car to get it towed. After that he brought us back home and towed the car further on to drop it at a mechanic and he stayed in touch to make sure we everything was all good. I wouldn’t say to expect this, but just wanted to paint a picture to show how kind and caring this company is. We are so grateful, thank you!!
Our car broke down half way up Wolf Creek Pass! We were stuck on the side of a mountain and Sergio saved us! He was great!!! He recommended an auto repair shop in Alamosa. He towed our car there and then even dropped us off at a local hotel! He gave us suggestions of good restaurants since we were going to be staying overnight until our car could be fixed! Great service and very helpful!!!
Josh rescued my husband, Todd and dog, Red, when our Ford150 broke down at Castle Creek, on Medano Pass where we were less than a mile from our camping spot. The call was put in around 1pm. Josh came in about an hour, after having to load up a second tow truck that would get through the sand dunes, where the flatbed couldn’t. Josh is professional and friendly. He moved swiftly and efficiently, effortlessly loading up our truck. On the ride home, we got cozy and friendlier, sharing some good conversation. He brought our truck to Garcia’s, where I’m hoping to report another great experience. Good contractors are hard to find. Josh is the man. I have used this towing service via my car insurance for both a complicated towing and refuel. I was literally stuck on Wild Horse Mesa and the tow driver literally had to back up the rocky road to get me out! Driver was so nice, respectful of a newby in this area etc. I offered him a gift of a healing crystal. Such a great company. The dispatch was also very kind and helpful.
