Went to Big Brand first, I was told an alignment for my car wasn’t possible because it needed manufacturing parts. The job was going to cost close to $600. I went to Camarillo Independent turns out manufacturing parts were not needed and the alignment was possible and I was only charged for the alignment (a fraction of the cost I was going to pay at Big Brand). Camarillo Independent provides excellent customer service and they know what they are doing. Master techs make a big difference!

My experience with Camarillo Independent was, as always, a pleasant one. They treat you with respect and don't push you into doing unnecessary repairs. They do a complete inspection of the engine and drive train. They photograph the components to back up any issues that might need repair or replacement. If it's something they feel could be addressed at a later time, they'll tell you. I've used this facility many years and would recommend them to anyone.
This is my third visit and as in the past two, the service was great. From beginning to end, a seamless and satisfying experience. I would recommend these fine folks to anyone who needs their automobile repaired. And most of all, you will be treated with respect and HONESTY.
Overpriced and substandard work. I asked them to find out why I kept blowing a fuse. The just replaced the fuse. I asked to have the steering box adjusted. They didn't touch it but did give me an extremely overpriced estimate to rebuild the suspension.

Took my car in after I had taken it to a dealership. Camarillo independent automotive Repair did a better job diagnosing the car versus the dealership(have been taking my vehicles to them for years). Same outcome but with better detailed information. Took care of me and my car. Found more issues with the car which I was happy to replace. Have not replaced these new issues since 2012, can’t complain. Ran in to some little issues but were all fixed. Kept me updated about my car.
Would recommend and they always have people coming in for services. They will take care of your car needs and answer any and all of your questions.
My family has had Camarillo Independant working on our cars for years now. I had trouble with a door closing on my Chevy Corvette. After many calls to get it fixed the only ones that would take it in was Camarillo Independant. They went over everything and fixed my door issue when noone else would. I would give them 10 stars if i could. Very Professional and Polite. Sofie was great in helping me out with my car issues. Love this Company! You were able to fix my locking lugnuts without a key for me. Dealerships would not help with this. Second time you came thru when noone else could help me. I would give 10 stars if i could!
I was greeted immediately once I xame through the door, after stating I was there for a smog, they gave me my expected wait time. If I had to wait any other place Im glad it was here. The waiting area is clean, and comfortable, they even offer refreshments.

I needed to have some significant maintenance work done on my Pilot. Ryan had me bring it in for inspection prior to giving me an estimate. Xóchitl was wonderful in explaining the estimate which was much lower than the dealership. They were able to complete the work in a timely fashion and even transported me to pick up my car. Worked on my 1997 VW Eurovan Winnebago camper. Not a easy vehicle to find service for. Very friendly, have been using their service for many years.They did a though inspection and found a few issues. They replaced motor mounts and a few other items.They found some other issues. Which I decided to hold for later..Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable.Will definitely go back.Thank you folks
This company really knows what Customer Service is all about. They’re in depth knowledge of the workings of my car helped me understand the direction I needed to go to Restore my car to perfect function, and got me out on the road in a short time.
Honest. Wow! I brought in a 9 year old Toyota Camry expecting to be told "You need this and that." Nope. "We changed the oil and did a 53 point inspection. Everything looks great. You're good!"
First experience with this shop and very pleased with their knowledge, work and customer service. No hassels, job completed on time and pricing was more than reasonable. The folks at Camarillo Independent are so wonderful. They are very helpful in providing a detailed written estimate giving you choices to have or decline work for later. They are always very accommodating in getting me in on short notice and giving me realistic expectations for how long the repairs could take. They take very good care of all of my vehicles as well as my daughters, my mom’s and my sisters vehicles. They even have their own shuttle now so I don’t have to arrange for a ride.
I recently received a fix it ticket from CHP to fix broken light. I took my Subaru to Camarillo Independent Automotive Repair after buying the switch to make light function. I met Service Advisor Ryan Lewis who installed new switch at no charge. He was friendly, proffesional, and took care of my needs. I highly recommend Camarillo Independent!
I needed a 2nd opinion for major work needed on my Honda. The estimate from Camarillo Independent was more reasonable plus I really appreciated their honesty and the courtesy I was shown. I would recommend this shop to everyone.
I went only for an oil change and was told I was gonna get a multi point inspection. I waited for an hour and a half for the oil change only to find that they did the inspection anyway... Wanted to “make sure my car was safe to drive.“I was told I needed new brakes For $820.29, among other things. I just had my brakes replaced for $224.73 And it only took two hours. I just saved $600 by not going to Camarillo independent. Now I’ll never go back to them.
After a very terrible experience at another certified jaguar shop, I called this place and I'm so relieved I did. I talked to Ryan, he listened to my list of concerns and got me in within a few days which was wonderful since my car was handling awfully. They thoroughly inspected all areas, and pinpointed several issues that needed to be addressed from the previous botched work. My car is now back to running like it should! Very courteous and professional which is also appreciated. I'll be taking my car to them from now on and highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a solid professional and trustworthy auto shop. I'd give them 20 stars if I could.
My car was towed in on Friday, car was diagnosed and repaired the same day at a reasonable price. I felt heard and am very happy with my experience. Will definitely use them in the future for my car needs. Ryan was particularly helpful.

Amazing place! Great and friendly staff! Wanted confirmation that my catalytic converter was indeed bad in my 87' Jeep, so I got it here. They recommended a fantastic muffler shop in Oxnard, so I got it welded in there and came back for my smog check. Passes!!
Nice people work here, which leads me to believe they are treated well by their employer, which is big to me. Unhappy employees are often unhappy due to management, but not here.
I was seen immediately, my car was smog tested and passed quickly.
