Mario and Julio both have done excellent work on older vehicles that needed TLC. The best part of this business is how personable and quick they are.
However, you get what you pay for. For fixing larger issues or being proactive on repairs not so great. Also you have to be very on top of checking in. I had a car that they didnt get to for two months because I didnt call. When I got it back it had been left unlocked and riffled through with obvious rodent activity.
Julio was totally awesome. We brought a 1946 cj2a in for a prepurchase inspection. We were able to be fit in on 24h notice, the inspection was very thorough and the fact that this shop has worked on several jeeps before shows. We have a bunch of work to get done, and Julio was great at breaking it up in terms of priority and offering a fair price. We ended up doing an inspection, oil change, and coolant flush immediately and will do the brakes soon.
Honest, fast, helpful, and they do great work. My car overheated one day and they took it in right away, made the repair and even read my engine code light when it went on again the following week and recommended an inexpensive fuel additive to fix the issue. I highly recommend this place.
We had a nail in our tire on the side tread and found ourself filling up the tire with air every three days. The tire pressure light would go off when we would refill the tire with air and then go on after 3 days or so. We took it in to Mario’s shop for a flat repair and we were told that the tire needed to be replaced. We scheduled a replacement date and left the car, as instructed, with him a couple of days later for a few hours for the tire to be changed. We came back for our car and everything seemed fine but after a day or so we noticed the tire pressure light go back on. We asked Mario if he knew what was going on and he said to bring it back in so that he can take a look at it. We went back a few days later when he could fit us in and left the car with him for a couple of hours, he later called to inform us that the tire pressure sensor was broken. Mario said he can replace it and it would turn the tire pressure light off. So we went with that and brought our car back once the new sensor was delivered. When he was done with replacing the sensor he charged us 200$. On the way home the tire pressure light came back on. We called Mario again and let him know, he scheduled us to bring our car in a few days later for a couple of hours, so we did. They called saying the car was ready for pick up and that they could not turn off the tire pressure light because they did not have the proper scanner and to come back in two weeks or so. We waited two weeks and went back and reminded Mario who we were and what we were there for. He scheduled us for the next day and had us drop off the car and leave it there for a couple of hours. We were called by the mechanic at the shop and told that the car has two more tire pressure sensors out and if we wanted to move forward. After being charged 200$ for one sensor replacement on an issue that was non existent until changing our tire at Mario’s shop we decided that we did not want to move forward. We paid the 200$ and spent a lot of time back and forth from the shop and were guaranteed that the light would turn off. Well the light is still on.
Julio saved our day. My friend group got a flat tire on our way to the airport. He picked up our panicked call and helped us out immediately. He was so so friendly and we wouldn’t have made our flights without him. Thank you Julio!
We got a flat tire on our way to the airport and Julio saved our day! He drove to our car which was pulled over on the side of the road and made sure the car made it safely to the shop. He was incredibly efficient and you could tell he took pride in his work. From the time we called the shop to the time we were back on the road was no more than 20 minutes.
I highly recommend El Verano Auto Repair. Quick and honest service. Went in for a full set of tires, breaks and an oil change. I head from two other shops that I needed breaks, Mario assured me that my breaks still have life in them. The tires he recommended are spot on and handle well. In and out in just a couple of hours.
The fan for the A/C and heater made a loud noise, so I found a diagnostic video on YouTube - something must be stuck in the fan. I removed the glovebox myself, and deep in the fan I could see the face of a dead mouse! I drove to El Verano Auto Repair, and with the skill of a surgeon, they removed the pest! No charge! So friendly, fast, and skilled - I will be back!

Sold my girlfriend and I a great car for a great price. Just wish they let us know the jack arm, wrench, security wheel lock adapter etc. were missing from the trunk, if we would have had a flat tire there's no way I could have pulled the tire off and we would have been stuck. Other than that they sold us a great car, solid mechanically.
