The worst customer service experience I've had, I went in for a bottle of assembly lube and didn't notice until the next day it had been open, I went back to the store to EXCHANGE for a new sealed one and they refuse to do it, no exchange so I asked for my money back and nether one, this isn't about the $4.99 I paid for it's about being rude to me and no general manager in the store that day ether to oversee the workers.

I went to the AutoZone on 10th Street in Gilroy looking to purchase an alternator for my 2003 Lexus sedan. The person who assisted me sold me the wrong alternator. It took me days of trying to figure out what was wrong and I finally went back and spoke to the manager Esperanza at this particular autozone. She took out the original core that I had taken in when I purchased the original alternator. She noticed right off that it was not the right one, researched it and made it right. She apologized profusely for the error and for all the time I spent trying to make this wrong alternator work on my lexus. Excellent customer service!! Esperanza, you are an asset to that AutoZone on 10th Street in Gilroy.

I had stopped by to get my battery tested because I had to have a jumpstarted and the young man that helped me was awesome. He even checked my starter and alternator and helped me disconnect my battery to reset the radio on myJeep. Definitely appreciate good customer service.

I drove all the way from Phoenix Arizona, Esperanza fixed me up with oil and filter for my Toyota, customer service is excellent here.

Anthony was awesome, I thought I had battery issue but tester showed it was the alternator, he immediately noticed the screw was missing which was left out by another repair shop, he installed the bolt and fixed the charging error

Sign on the door and google both day open until 9p. Customers and employees still in store but door locked at 8:54. Guess I won't have new wipers when I head north tomorrow.

Jacob was excellent!! I just crashed the left side drivers mirror off and when I walked into Auto Zone carrying it, he asked “How’s your day going?” So funny. But then he didn’t order me the first one he could find. He went through his computer screen after screen until he found me the one that matched, fit and had the best price. It was excellent customer service when I really needed a professional to help me. I’m 75 and my husband used to do this kind of shopping. Jane Hartsook

Jose was amazing! I came in because my battery light was on and I was going to travel over 152. He was very helpful tested, replaced and took care of me so I can get back on the road. The team was very friendly and I will be back !

I tried returning a core and was told it was already returned when that's impossible.i bought when system was down and was told the warranty would be added when the system was back up. Now I'm told it's already been returned all this hassle for a 10 core charge. Believe me I'm not trying to do all this for no 10 dollars

I called in exhausted after a long commute looking for windshield wipers, I was helped by Jacob. Who was very kind, and knowledgeable of what I needed I asked "If he could hold them for me? I'll be in in 15 minutes! He did, I was in and out in 3mins. Thank you, Jacob!!!

I want to give a tremendous shout out to the employees at this AutoZone! I purchased a top of the line battery for my Lincoln two years ago, paying a little over $300.00. I had ongoing issues with it, but always had my son-in-law give my battery a jump. During our first cold weather this year my car had problems starting. Having paid as much as I did for the battery, I decided to have it exchanged. I had my son-in-law drive me to the new AutoZone by Safeway to exchange it. When the young man looked up my account he told me that I had the wrong battery, and that what I brought in was their least expensive battery, costing only around $60.00. I nearly fainted. He said that they didn't have the battery that was listed on my account and phoned the store where I had purchased the original battery. They had one in stock so we drove to the store on Auto Parkway. The associate at this store looked at the battery then looked at my account and told me, as I had been told earlier, that it was the wrong battery. He asked if I had a receipt, which I did fortunately. I told him that my son-in-law, who was standing beside me, had been with me when I had made the original purchase and could vouch for what I was saying. He and the other associates vassilated, not quite sure what to do. A man behind the counter told them to get the right battery and give it to me. I believe that he is either a district or regional manager. It was fortuitous that he was there, otherwise I would have been $300.00 out for the original purchase and would have to pay another $300.00 to have the battery that I needed for my car.

Auto Zone to the rescue - again! This time, my wipers went out on me. Kiki promptly diagnosed the problem and immediately got to work. Wow! Purchasing one wiper and tightening the activator did the job! Reliable Customer Service can hardly be found these days, but you can surely find it here - and theirs is Great Customer Service! Keep up the exceptional service, Auto Zone!!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful! We got a chip in our windshield on a road trip and needed a windshield repair kit. We also needed a specific usb charger. The employees at the register went out of their way to help us find the correct charger. They were professional, friendly and quick.

Great turnaround! I needed to get some antifreeze for my vehicle and was helped by a Gentleman “Kiki” He was Very Knowledgeable and Friendly! Then the very next day went back for a Radiator and was privileged to have Mr Kiki help me again, and again He Out Did Himself and I told Him that AutoZone needs more employees like Him! Thank You AutoZone. “Yes, Go Kiki! Go AutoZone!”

Passing through Gilroy, needed emergency battery no tools. Employee Anthony was SUPER HELPFUL, took every step/attempt to remove "FUSED" corroded terminals in a patient and respectful manner as to not damage anything. He provided extremely useful information and tips as well as all pricing possibilities and benefits and cons (if any) of each pick. Great demeanor and friendly interaction. I liked how he didn't give off a salesman vibe or try to upsell, super down to earth. if you ever need an Autozone during 101 commute this the place were you'll get HELP. Thanks again to Anthony.

Every time I come into Auto Zone Mina is always so helpful and knowledgeable. My most recent visit was to sadly because of battery problems. Mina came out to check my battery and sure enough I needed a new one. She asked Andres to help make sure the batteries they had fit my vehicle. Thank god it did!!! Andres was so nice and knowledgeable as well. He installed my new battery and I was on my way!!! I’m so grateful for such helpful, kind people to help make these frustrating situations easier to deal with. Thank you both!!!

Thank you Miguel, I’m super grateful. I dropped my battery for charging and they disposed it claiming I didn’t show up on time, it took the intervention of the district manager to get a new battery. Miguel was super grateful and very respectful.

This review is long overdue. I would like to thank Carlos for doing such a great job in assisting me. I went in on a busy Saturday. Last thing I wanted to do was spend a ton of money on car parts. I talked to Carlos and let him know the situation I was in. I told him I had coolant leaking from my car. I also told him my car would make a loud crackling noise every time I would turn the wheel. He offered to take a look at my car. On a hot summer day, Carlos looked under my car and found out what the issue was. He ordered me a very affordable new radiator and driver axle. The parts arrived the next day and I had then installed at a local mechanics shop. He fixed all the issues I had and to say his customer service skills are great would be an understatement. Thank you Carlos.

Jevon and Carlos had a difficult time changing out the battery in my truck, which is installed very strangely indeed. But, I was very impressed they never ever gave up and were determined to get it replaced for me. They were very friendly and polite and made sure my truck was all put back together and running properly before I left the store. These two young men are a credit to your company and gave amazing service. I feel they went above and beyond, and remained upbeat and smiling, to help me in a difficult situation.

Tried to buy some coolant on a Monday morning but, the two employees behind the counter were too busy having a personal conversation to even acknowledge me. Once their conversation ended the cashier decided to answer the phone two times again without even so much as a "will be with you in a minute". Walked out without buying anything and will not come back.

I gave this place a 4 not a 5 star because of the gentleman that helped me tall white man who was very kind and helpful. The negative part about this visit to buy simple coolant was that there was 2 unprofessional staff members, a young lady and a bald man arguing about who's responsible to do closing duties and who isn't. It was very awkward and uncomfortable.I hope I never have to be back. Sorry. Someone needs to talk to them!!!

The manager had to help me after two of their registers couldn't get my card to work. The third register finally worked but I was never refunded my money from the previous canceled transaction. The manager also sold me the wrong year oil pan and cost me a week on my project along with the last of my money in my account which I still have yet to see. They also weren't able to do an inventory check when I called ahead.
