I generally have a great experience here but was very disappointed today. I came with a confirmed appointment at 9 am and told them so at check in, and they checked me in as a standby, which I didn't find out until I asked for an update after waiting over two hours with no updates. Ultimately it took almost 3 hours to get my car back for a routine tire rotation.
Great store, I was in and out quickly. I would recommend that you order online and make an appointment. Craig helped me out. He was attentive and knew a lot about cars. Ask for him!
Wow, my first experience here and definitely my go to shop from now on! I previously had maintained my fleets tires at Les Schwab Tires, but currently there is no Les Schwab locations near me, so I gave America's Tire Co. a shot after another friend recommended them. Everything about the experience was above and beyond my best expectations. The team there is just that, a team. They work with a level of hyper-efficiency I have never seen before in person, only comparable to a NASCAR or F1 racing pit crew!
Make sure to double-check your tires before leaving. I recently had new tires put on, and once I got home, my TPMS light came on. After checking, I realized one of the tires was the wrong size, the sidewall was 45 instead of 40. When I called, the response felt a bit indifferent; they just told me to come back and they’d swap it out. While I didn’t ask for compensation, it would have been nice for them to acknowledge the inconvenience and offer something for the extra time and hassle. Because of this experience, I’ll probably take my business elsewhere next time.
Very nice sales people. They measured the tread left on my tires and helped me with the decision to replace them rather than rotate them again. Was quoted it would take 90 minutes - it took 20 extra minutes but that's close enough for me and the lobby is clean and comfortable with free wi-fi.
This location has great customer service. The staff was patient and took their time explaining prices and going over my invoice. They didn’t rush or talk over me like at other places. I had to wait in line even with an appointment, but once my car was in, I was out in 15 minutes. The manager was active on the floor, helping direct traffic and thanking customers. Overall, a good place to get your tires serviced.
I went in because my tires, which have a 40,000-mile warranty, were worn out early. Instead of honoring the warranty, the staff ignored it and tried to sell me brand new tires at full price. When I asked about the warranty, they gave no solution and pushed for a sale. If they don’t stand behind the tires they sell, why should anyone buy from them? Very disappointing and untrustworthy experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Additional: Thank you for replying, but the link you provided requires me to register an account and even prompts me to buy a tire. I am not buying a tire from you — I only wanted the warranty on the set I already purchased to be honored. Making customers jump through unnecessary steps instead of providing a direct solution is exactly why this was such a frustrating and disappointing experience.
Service is super fast and friendly. The free maintenance and inspections is a huge perk and I came in right when they opened with a nail in my tire and in less than 20 minutes they repaired it for free and I was on my way.
Always a good experience with these guys. Got a flat tire, was towed to the shop. Had to replace both rear tires and was done in 30 mins. They have a pretty good selection in store, though on-the-spot pricing is not the best. You are better off waiting for their sale or shop ahead to get a matching price. Obviously, not applicable when you have an emergency.
Bought tires a year ago. Had a nail puncture and slow leak. Called and they fixed same day and was covered under warranty. Happy with product and service.
A very mixed experience. I went in after ramming a tire up onto a curb. Though my hubcap was bent, my tire had a small gouge, and I'd been losing about two pounds of pressure a day, the guy who checked me in looked at it, listened to my story, and then told me it was fine since my pressure light never came on. I tried to tell him three or four times that I was worried about it, but finally I let him talk me into just leaving after I got my air pressure checked. Fortunately, Victor at the air pressure station actually got in there and really looked at it and discovered that there were literally wires sticking out of it from where I'd damaged it. When they replaced it, they even straightened out my hubcap which was really nice. So, some folks who work there will gaslight you and put your safety in jeopardy, but other folks are very detail oriented.
Update - They replaced the tires I hated with new ones, exactly the ones that came with the car that I liked, and fast! The price difference was returned to my card. They gave me new lugs that are better than the ones that were damaged, and I’m waiting to hear about the rims. Probably will rewrite this review after that.
When I was walking to the car, I felt like I had five star service. It was fast. The tires were in stock. They answered the phone and were really nice in person.
The little lug lock I was carrying with me looked damaged. I decided to look at the tires and check the work. There were scratched lugs, almost all of them. The Rims had lots of new chipped paint around the lugs.
I had asked for performance tires, so he sold me the most expensive tire they had in stock that would fit. 80k mile tires. These tires are meant to last a long time, not perform. The car is sliding all over the road on dry pavement.
My tire specialist, Victor, was both courteous and knowledgeable when I showed up for my scheduled appointment for a flat repair. Although it was very busy, my appointment was honored which I was very thankful for. Although we were not able to repair my tire, he displayed his expertise by identifying that my vehicle’s stock tire replacement options would be limited, and he quickly suggested an alternative - all without being in front of the computer! Once we returned to the computer he presented all of the options - I’m extremely grateful to have interacted with him, and I look forward to returning to this establishment. Thank you!
Edit 2025: turns out I’ve already left a 5 star review here, but I had the pleasure of interacting with Itsel today (I hope I spelled that right). She was so friendly and even offered to lay down a ground barrier for my new wheels so they wouldn’t get scratched. This is above and beyond the service I’ve received at other locations. I’ve been with americas tire for over 10 years, but this location has constantly been disappointing me. Always trying to upsell or make things difficult. The latest was the last straw I will not be coming back to this location. Long story short, I called to have a leak checked on my wife’s Tesla, drives side front. They told me to drop in, will take 45 minutes. I show up 30 minutes later and they say they can’t have it done in under one hour to one hour and 30 minutes and I’m short on time so I book an early morning appointment the next day. Show up and without looking at it they are trying to sell me tires because current ones are in the orange spectrum. Cost 1800. I decline and question why they could have told me the day before without me having to drive out twice. I take it to another tire shop, they take a look at it and localize the leak, not even being the tire but the valve stem. Total cost $30 and in and out in 30 minutes. Avoid these people. Americas tire being reputable but they’re riding it and riding you!

Whoa - made an appt. dropped my car off to have the tires changed, walked down the street to grab some Mexican food for lunch, by the time I walked back, they were done - in less than 25 minutes - not the experience I was expecting. Highly recommend
I was there to Rotate my Tires as the store I normally go to could not accommodate me after 5 times trying to get it done over 3 months. These guys took good care of me and a short time even at the last minute. They gave me a time the same day I called in and the job was done in less then 45 minutes. Even though they were very busy. I had the pleasure of working with Andrew yesterday 5/20 when I had to bring my car in for a slow leak in one of my tires. I appreciated that Andrew checked the condition of all my tires and talked me through the entire repair process which gave me a good idea of what to expect if a tire repair wasn't possible.
Their work system also gave an estimate for when the work would be done and I only had to wait around 40 minutes which was spot on.
My tire ended up having a small screw in the tread and the techs repaired it for free. I'll definitely come back when it's time to order new tires.
I had a flat tire and drove straight from work to America’s Tire in Redwood City, feeling stressed and overwhelmed. As soon as I arrived, Meztli greeted me with a warm and kind presence that immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly helpful and made it clear that they would do everything they could to get me taken care of quickly—and she delivered.
Meztli explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, and even taught me something new about how different tires are affected over time. I really appreciated how empathetic she was—she could clearly see how stressed I was and responded with patience and care.
This was actually my second great experience at this location—they helped me with another flat in the past, and both times I’ve been impressed by how the team operates. They work seamlessly together, which is rare to see, and Meztli even gave her team a shout-out for how fast they were moving that day. It was refreshing to see that kind of mutual respect and teamwork.

These people are unbelievably honest. Instead of just replacing our tire which would cost us money, they decided to repair it for free. Who does that?! Well apparently they do! Not once but this happened twice! We tell them every time, yes please replace if you think it’s necessary. Then they come back with a repaired tire. Unbelievable! While most places will simply take your money, they give time to help instead.
Seriously don’t waste your time going to another place. Not even Costco can beat these guys. They live and breathe tires. They’ve gained a loyal customer for life. Thank you for serving our community with genuine care and above board service. We are so grateful and will spread the word!
Honestly, I hate writing reviews, but damn—this place exceeded my expectations for customer service.
I was looking for specific tires and wheels, and no one seemed to have them. I called America’s Tire in Redwood City, and Andrew came through. He ordered exactly what I needed, told me when they’d arrive, and made the whole process super fast and easy.
A couple of days later, I changed my mind and wanted a different set. I called them up again, and they placed the new order with no problem. They called me when the new tires came in, and I made an appointment for Tuesday (today). I dropped my truck off, and they had me in and out in under an hour.
Andrew—thank you again. If you see this review, come by my barbershop, Coastline Barbershop in San Mateo. I’d love to offer you a free haircut for being so nice and helpful. I’ll forever bring all my cars here for any future tire needs.

This is one of the finest customer experiences you'll ever have. These folks know their business. I've still yet to be charged for a repair when I've had a nail or bolt in one of my tires! The wait times can be a bit long, but the service is absolutely worth it. They will also inflate your tires to the correct pressure for FREE - again, you just have to be a bit patient -- good customer service never goes out of style and everyone wants their share.
Disappointed at their service. Go to this place if you want to be deceived and ripped off. They refused to repair a flat tire even though their road hazard insurance covered it. The manager was making nonsense reasoning that even though the tire has 4/32 thread depth, since it is not even, according to their company policy (!?), they cannot fix the flat, and I have to get a new set of tires. I have been using them for twenty years on multiple cars, and year after year, their service quality is suffering more and more. I took the car to another shop, and they fixed it without asking questions. I had to pay for the service that I had paid insurance for before. In the Redwood City branch, I have had tire balancing issues; I have been charged extra for sensor installation while the first clerk told me it is not required and is covered by the installation charge. I am fed up and taking business elsewhere.
Excellent service! Came here on a different day and the power went out right before they started on my car. However, I was promised immediate service if I come back on another day without an appointment. I just came in, today, during lunch and they are busy. But the guy behind the counter remembered me and put my car in for immediate service. I had all 4 tires replaced. Everything took less than 50 minutes.
I appreciate their commitment to their work and customers. Great experience and I Will come back for my tire rotation.
Needed all 4 new tires. Found a good deal with and fair warranty. Very Nice staff helpful the Manager Thomas was pleasant well mannered. I like that you can sit and view your car progress. I'm very happy with the service here. 3 days after my tires my indication light came on that my tire pressure off.. so mad.. have to miss work and go back to see what went wrong with my them servicing my baby... Mixed feelings.. about going back
