Not only is this store the best place to shop for bargains, the store is always clean and the associates are always friendly/helpful. A great place to shop!

I love shopping at Grocery Outlet! They offer a wide variety of items with reasonable prices. I often find brands I've never heard of before along with items that are tried and true favorites. Give it a try - you never know what you'll walk out with in your cart!

Great prices and helpful staff, but pathetically-stocked organic produce and organic dairy (especially milk)

Decent selection and friendly employees! The downside is inventory changes frequently, plan on going here first and grabbing the stuff they're missing at another store. On the upside, the first two isles are great for cheap home incidentals and art supplies.

Prices were right. The neighborhood is always sketchy. Food is great options. I love the beer section. You never know what you are going to get. Perfect to shop for parties.

Fruits, vegetables, cereals, snacks, drinks at reasonable prices. Some kitchen and household essentials are also available.
Lacking in biscuits and ingredients of South Asian cuisine.Oct 02, 2025 -
I come to the store a lot. The grocery outlet has a lot of good things with good prices and not to mention the workers. Well, I’m mean the workers that have been there for a long time. They’re really sweet and nice and very polite. I noticed three new workers today the first one when I was walking into the store he was walking out to get the cart. The expression on his face was like he had to go boo-boo or something because it was ugly because he didn’t even say hi and I said hi to everybody and everybody says hi there. I love everybody there like I said the ones I have been as the longest not the new ones that guy he look like he didn’t want to be there, but he didn’t want to be working he shouldn’t be there and then the other two were at the cash register Middle Eastern female cashier and her helper, bad boy, Hispanic short heavyset they both had attitude. I wasn’t gonna just stay quiet. I’m gonna be who I am like. I am all the time with everybody. I said hi there Feel like it’s gonna take all the strength to say hi back the female was getting frustrated with my card I had to try it a couple times and you know you can tell she got frustrated. She rolling her eyes the little card machine, turning it around to her really hard. I don’t care she doesn’t scare me. I feel like saying something to her, but I didn’t wanna embarrass her and then not to mention her helper is like when I asked him to give me Paper bags as well. He rolled his eyes and he got so frustrated like if he had to go to another world to get the paper bags it’s ridiculous. They kill all the good lives from the store and from that original workers all the older workers the people that have been there. I don’t even feel like going back to that store anymore they killed a good vibe that I felt every time I walked in there so that’s why I’m giving only a one star

Used to find some good deals occasionally on organic foods, but can no longer enter this store since they started using scent marketing! That means a fragrance is circulating in the store through their HVAC system. This is the latest fad with brick and mortar stores. Unfortunately it means children and adults with asthma (and other allergies) cannot enter the store or they might have an attack or have a migraine or become ill. This makes the store inaccessible (i.e. it is an accessibility issue) to some people. Also all food and other items now smell like they've been sprayed with perfume. Who wants to eat perfume? Clean, fresh air is best.

I love grocery outlet but today Izayah made my day. He was so kind and cheered me up. To me this embodies the bay areas good vibes and community. Give this person a raise.

Lots of great wine and beer offerings. I loved that they had so many kinds of flowers. I was able to buy European chocolates, flowers and wine for a birthday gift!

The best grocery outlet I've been to. I liked the ones near me in SF when I was there, but this is way better. Such a variety of things. One of my favorite places to shop for random bargains and unique finds. I would definitely shop here more if I lived closer.

Excellent staff. But big shout-out and praise to store manager Jackson for not only providing a positive experience for customers but also taking the initiative of implementing a life long ban on a regular customer who has a reputation of starting fights and disrespecting the cashiers of every business in the area. I wish more store managers were a lot like Jackson who take charge in providing a safe environment for his employees

I am a very frequent customer of the establishment, but today I was offended by the reason why I and my husband were speaking in Spanish and the cashier was shouting that English is America what Que. maltreatment. gave them that I know you very offended just for speaking in Spanish, but I also had English, but I knew that there was abuse just for speaking Spanish.

Pretty big store for a grocery outlet however I don't find the selection to be as good as some of the others. I find the selections here not to be as good a quality food as say the other stores near San Francisco. And I want to say thank you to Wendy, I get it.

Grocery Outlet to me seems to be a symbol of how we as a culture have given up. The complete lack of rules in order for example today in the Redwood City store I saw two dogs that were clearly pets. One was really large and was staring at me part of the trip while I was shopping. Later there was another dog that I witnessed with its nose in the meat aisle sniffing around. His owner would occasionally pull his leash and yell stop it. When trying to park, I noticed that the entire sidewalk on one side was covered in cars and a taco truck seating.

This is my secret spot. You never know what gourmet delectable you'll find like butterflied boneless leg of lamb, Japanese sweet aloe/muscat jelly and my new favorite ice cream Frutero in Guava and the very best exact tasting passion fruit. Super creamy.....excellent wine selection, look for "Sam's favorites"

Located in Downtown Redwood City near Broadway and Main off HWY-101 very close to the City Center, parking is surprisingly easy because they've got their own parking lots. This particular location of the discount grocery chain often has extra markdowns on items that are about to expire (as any honest stores SHOULD!); but not always true at other Grocery Outlet locations.
This store is frequented by a large Latino crowd, but loved by all walks of life. Also, not every Grocery Outlet carries the items this location does, for example, I never saw the 4 Sisters Coffee and Kinders Chicken Dipping Sauce; see my photos. Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese prices have been skyrocketing lately, I was lucky to find a 2-pk (Strawberry & Original flavors) for $2.99; my Sunnyvale Grocery Outlet would have cost $2.99 EACH or more.
As such, I must say moving around the aisles can be challenging as there are so many more people in this store than any other Grocery Outlet locations I've ever been to; but I do enjoy going to places that others also enjoy.Nov 26, 2024 -
First timer. Was like a store/ warehouse. Different products at good prices. I bought a bunch of Organic bananas for $2.99. Love them when they are green as they were.
Found Turmeric chews there as well.
Great customer service experience except not enough staff on the floor. Love the "security " guy he was super friendly!Mar 12, 2024 -
Some products are way more cheaper than safeway (eg. Baking soda 1.29 in G.O. 4.99 in safeway). Produces are fresh and cheap (1.99 for a bunch of mandarins or sweet potatoes).
Some nuts in, chips and candy bars is available near the west side entrance.
Tons of parking slots and easily accessible.Mar 19, 2022 -
This is the cleanest I have ever seen a grocery outlet. Compared to other ones like in San Jose CA. I used to only think of grocery outlet as a place to grab something quick but after coming to this one I will be utilizing it as one of the main places I get itmes I need to cook with. They even have a really nice selection of flowers outside. They also have a taco truck and a pupossasa truck right out front. I didnt try them yet but they look appealing.

Decided to drop by since we had time before meeting our host for dinner nearby on the last Thursday of January. Wow, we went crazy over the amount of stuff we found that couldn't be found back home. We overran our time with a little grocery shopping.

Great deals, just make sure you check the expiration dates. They usually have a nice selection of orchids, and other potted plants. You never know what you'll find, it's like a treasure hunt every time you shop here!
